  1. Pole Shed Cleaning

Looking for a little help from the pros on what chems to use to get a nice clean look on a metal pole shed outer material. We normally do just fleet work but one of the accounts wants us to clean their shop. I have heard simple cherry mixed with F-13? or something like that does a great job. Would would be downstreaming so dilutions and where to buy the chems would be some great input. Thanks ahead of time for the help!!!!

  3. We will Start Stenciling everything in sept

I agree with Ron...everybody is else doing it, why not do it yourself. My opinion, the cool thing is that the more and more people and companies who are stenciling are just showing the property manager or business employees how dirty their stuff is, which in the end they can leave with a stenciled advertisement or call to have somebody clean it up which is where Ron or whoever can get additional business. Ron, would you ever pay a portion of the cost for a stencil that say Budweiser would go around and use and advertise their business with? Then work out a deal that if and when a disgruntled manager calls them budweiser just says hey call up propowerwash? Or would this be too much of a pain or do you think not enough calls would come in compared to cost of the stencil? Just another way to get your foot in the door without even going and talk to the gatekeeper! ;) Am I in la la land with this idea since Im kind of a newbie or no.

  5. Website Theft

I noticed pictures on Pioneerpressurewashingsc.com that are from other washers sites as well. One that stuck out is in his fleetwash page. A picture is from BioCleans site. Blaine are you aware of this?
  6. bus wash soap

Paul, I remember reading a post a little while back about not going above the windows when cleaning a bus and for some reason i thought it was you that said that (correct me if i am wrong) What is the reason for this? Excuse what might be common sense or considered a dumb question. I just have never attempted to wash a bus and know of several large outfits with commercial as well as school busses that I would LOVE to go after. Thanks for you help! Anybody who has an answer is more then welcome to chime in as well! Thanks, Dave Jr.
  7. Do start ups underestimate what it takes?

Of all you successful washers, how many became successful by learning on your own, and how many did it by doing this stuff for somebody else and then branched off and started up your own gig? How many had an education in small business and accouting, marketing as well as a good sales on top of all that? I've been doing nothing but researching on top of researching and there is still so much to learn. Making time to go get hands on with somebody who is a professional already is a task in itself. I myself are one of those guys who accidently stumbled into the power washing industry. Ill admit $$$ signs made my Dad and I hungry to get a business going at first, but like anything else there's a heck of lot more to it then just going out and wash dirty stuff. Keeping my full time job and doing small stuff on the side to learn is what I'm concentrating on. Eventually my goal is to do it full time though. It is enjoyable and rewarding when you can step back and know you did that work and it truely looks great. Even though I am new to the industry, ill throw in my little tip...a problem I've had is having my girlfriend want me home for this and that since I generally make my own schedule. Make sure your family, wife, husband, significant other or whoever is understanding to your commitment to your business. You owe it to yourself for taking the risk of investing your equipment. 7 days a week is often an only option whether its book keeping, finding more clients or doing the washing. I think people who fail sometimes get caught up in the "its my business" bubble and take off whenever they want and choose to spend their freetime in a non productive way. Expecially with a young business. Best of luck!
