Does everybody start out as a "lowballer"?
PATZPW replied to Beth n Rod's question in The Club House
But..... if a guy has insurance, has the correct chemicals, has the right equipment and education, operates his business legally and can afford to charge $75.00-$100.00 for washing a house and pay his bills, he;s not a lowballer, he's your competiter and a little competition is healthy for business. This BB has members from all over the country participating.. a gallon of milk cost more in California then it does here in Indiana, does that mean Indiana grocery stores are lowballing milk?----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would be considered the above competition. I give good prices with great service, that's what kind of person I am. Besides it's not my bread and butter so things are sometimes different for the lone washer. :sunshine: -
Has Anyone Ever Had The Displeasure Of Not Being Paid For A Job, Lets Say From A Chain Store Or A Private Business? If So How Did Eventually Collect?

It Hasn't Happend Yet. But Most Companies Around My Area Are Only Open 9-5. I Work Full Time So I Wash At Night Or On Weekends. So If I Wash On The Weekend It's Hard To Follow Up With My Hand Out For Cash WHEN NOBODY IS AROUND.

mike i feel the same way, i just couldn't express it the same way you did. That's why i edited my reply. i've washed a few Manufactured Homes and i charged $55.00 for singles and $75.00 for doubles. In my opinion that's cheap for them and not a bad take for an hours work or so.

In New York ( Tax Capital Of The East) You Must Charge Tax Because It's Considered A Repair/maintainance. However When I Purchase Tools, Soap Or Another Washer By Paying The Tax It Offsets The Tax Money I Claim On My Quarterly Report. I Was Wondering What You Guys Do?

For Those Of You That Might Remember From An Old Post That I Had Inherited A Craftsman Power Washer. It Seemed Like An Ok Machine For Little Jobs Around The House. I Used It Just This Past Sunday And When I Was Done I Noticed A Rainbow Underneath The Pump. I Tipped The Machine Backwards And Saw Oil Seepage ( Spell Check Please ) Coming From A Bolt On The Pump. I Went To Snug Up The Bolt And Noticed That It Was Tight. What Shall I Do

The Green Is Consistant Accross The Lower Front Of The House, However I Can See A Orangeish/brownish Underneath The Green. Anything I Might Be Able To Use In Test Area? Or Is The Color Burned Into The Brick?

Quad for snow removal?
PATZPW replied to Jeffrey Abrams's topic in Snow Plowing, Deicing and Holiday Lighting
I Live Outside Of Buffalo Ny ( Snow Capital Of The N East ) Lol! And Quads With Plows Are Fine If You're Pushing Light Fluffy Snow. But It Won't Push The Heavy Wet Stuff Very Well.
