Well, I am going to put my .02 in on this topic. For all of you that I have met here in Atlanta, Cujo, pete, tracey, jeff, pdlittle, Russ, Chad (My partner in crime), it been a blast. I am currently packing my Penske truck on Thursday heading back to Indiana. My mother and mother in-law, are having some health issues and it time to be around the family after a 7 year stay here in the ATL. I made a nice salary with this pressure washing career since 2004. This board has really been a Blessing to my Business. Thanks Beth and Rod. This year started to be my best But I made a decision to move from the hectic, No sidewalk having, crazy, roadrage killing, crime infested, lowest State test taking, Indy 500 State of GA back to the small city of 80,000. When you want the best for your family and to see your children grow up in a safe enviroment, sometime simplicity is the key to a successfull life. It not all about MONEY, or the stuff that money can buy BUT it is about the FAMILY and their happiness. So to all of the fellow and future pressure washers.... Good Spraying and may god Bless all of you. " DeGraffreed OUT" ha Ha.

Deck in a Day
Degraffreed replied to PressurePros's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Ken, did you use WTW on the Rail Road ties? Or did you just do the floor and handrails? It appears to me that WTW was not used below the deck floor level and I right here? -

Beth, was the last photo an after shot with WOOD TUX?. It seems as if the deck needs more stain. Is this PT Pine? If I did not know you did this, I wood say this was a wood rookier first stain job. -
Pdolittle. Hey could you post a picture of that GZ brush you created? I am looking at a better way to brighten gutters. I did 4 homes on Saturday and they were all two stories and If I do not find a better way to clean them. Well lets say.... I will be all HEAD AND SHOULDERS..... Or you if you perfer not to post pic here could you e-mail. Tdegraffreed@comcast.net

I just placed an order today for GZ. I had been using PP and it did the job okay but required a great deal of brushing and then after a while it seems as though the PP had lost its potency. From reading the earlier post, it appears that the constant dipping back and forth in the solution causes the PP that is in the bucket to somewhat loose it potency. I then tried to use Powerhouse and man the streaks came off with little or no brushing. One downfall was that you could only do about a five foot section before the product would dry up. Powerhouse is about twice as much for a five gallon than the PP that I was getting from my auto supplier. Great product though

Jeff, what year is your Dodge. I have a 04 Ram 1500 Hemi and I do not see any issues with pulling my 7x14 double axle trailer. This is my first truck so I guess I do not know what I am camparing it to But it pulls great. Gas mileage sucks when I am pulling the trailer. But it makes money when I am pulling it so.. go figure.

Hello to all. I have a few questions that Maybe some of the Vets could answer. I just did my second deck cleaning job today. I used sodium percarbonate from E-spec. It stated 4 oz to a gallon of hot water. I made a 5 gal mixture for two pump up sprayers. WE applied let dwell 15 min, then used a 4010 ( 800 psi) tip. My machine is 3000 psi, hot cold 5gpm. I was cleaning deck and railings. The deck did not " Fur up " but the railings did. What did I do wrong if anything? Is Furring a normal part of the deck restoration process and something that happens on all cleanings? The deck was pressure treated pine and about 2 years old. Did I let the Restore mixture stay on to long? So I waited about 30 min then brought out my belt sander and tried to sand the railing and the deck. It took the "fur" off some what but I could not use the belt sander in between the railings. I did this while the wood was still wet. Should I go back and resand after the wood has completly dried? The customer was happy with the results. Camparing the current deck to the "green" deck she had for the last two years. I am always trying to be the best at what I do and need some advice from you wood guys on the proper procedures. I see some of the posted pictures of past post and I use these as guides to what my result should look like. Please e-mail any advice, tips, articles and experiences, concerning wood deck cleaning that could help me meet this objective to degraffreeds@aol.com Thanks in advance for your help Degraffreed

Thanks Sunbrite and Russell C
Degraffreed posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I had the opportunity to finally meet Russell from ESI Solutions. The get together was held at Petes, Sunbrite supply in Duluth,GA. Russell is a man of great expertise when it comes to wood restorations. I feel like I learned so much about his other products as well as the new Wood Tux Wet. He demonstrated the product on deck samples and I was amazed at what WTW could do on wet decks and fences. He and Cujo, as well as those that attended, answered many of our question concerning WTW and I left there feeling as though I can get the results that myself and my customers require. I traveled an hour to attend this gathering but that was small fries to the amount of miles Russell traveled from St. Louise. Thanks again Russ, and I cannot wait to use your product soon. :lgmoneyey -

Philip, were you there at SunBrite? Were you the gentleman in the light brown jacket? Trying to put a face with the name. -
Aplus, Do you have much mold and mildew on properties up North as we do here in GA? I am planning on moving back to South Bend area in May or June and open shop there. I know the season for cleaning will be much shorter up North than here in the South. North= May thru Oct? South- March-Dec. Does the winters kill mildew spore?

Don, could you provide a picture of your Shur Flo setup and I know you developed a roof cleaning wand. I seem to have misplaced my photo of the wand. Want to do more roof cleaning this year but prefer not to X-jet.
-
Beth, What it the application technique for this Acid? Do you apply with x-jet or a pump up? Tracey
-
Beth, what "acid" are you using in this process? As stated in other posts, I intend on relocating back to Indiana from Georgia and there is a lot more Aluminum sided home compared to vynil as in GA. I know that, depending on the siding color you can actually change the color of the surface just by using hot water and pressure. What would be the best process for cleaning aluminum siding?

I decided to add a wireless credit card machine to my biz last year and the sales went up 30-50%. I leased the nurit 8000 mobile credit card machine and I love it. My customers seem to agree with any upsell once I inform them that I do take credit and debit cards. Nice addition to the biz. Will be relocating to Indiana soon. Anyone looking for stain? I have about 95 gallons of Wooddefender fence stain. (Sierra and Rustic Oak). Do not want to haul all that stain up North.

I agree with this article to the T. I constantly remind the young and old, that if you do not know your HIStory. It will sneak up on you with your eyes wide open. No one owe's us anything, yes the playing field is not fair but you control your own destiny. My Chief in the Navy once told me as a E-3," When one door closes, another one will open. If not Hell, go through the window. I live by this daily.
