To those who clean gutters. I will be using Purple Power tommorrow on residence housewashing. My question is 1. Do you prewet the gutters, then apply the PP via extension pole with brush, let dwell, then rinse? Or do you brush the PP on the dry gutters. A quick response would be appreciated. I would like to here from all contractors that could post their experience with gutter cleaning. I bought the PP tonight and by the time I arrived home to try it on my own gutter the sunlight was past the horizon and I was to dark for me to tell if the PP was any better than my Limolene, I used previously on all the other residences. To anyone who has done apartment buildings. I have a bid on a complex that has a total of 152 units, all vynil siding heavy mold. My question is this. Do you bid by the building or by the square foot? There are four units that are three stories, nothing my xjet can not reach, then the rest are 8 units, two story units. I can take on something of this magnitude. I am looking at bidding by how long I think each unit will take. EX.The 3 story units units are about 9912 sqft. I look at giving a time frame of 3hours for front and back, .5 for the sides and 1hour for breeze way and side walks around the rear of the unit for a estimate of five hours a 16 unit building and bidding $1200.00 @four unit =$4800.00 Then there are 7- 8unit 2 story heavy mold looking at 4 hours a building including sidewalk and breezeway @ 800= $5600.00 Throw in the leasing office and clubhouse for another 300.00. I this total bid Outrageous. I want to win this bid so any suggestion TONIGHT would be appreciated. Degraffreed

Hi to all. I have a bleach deliema that I need a quick response on. I have moved to Indiana from Georgia and have yet to locate a 10-12% distributor. Thanks Barry for that lead in Warsaw. I had to go to the local dollar store and purchase 10 -3qt of 6% bleach. I thought they were gallon jugs, until I started to fill my 5 gallon bucket and noticed that I had emptied 7 of the jugs into it. I know that 6% 50-50 will place about 2% of the solution on the surface.Could I just add more 6% and less water to the mixture? Question. Until I can locate the 12% distrubutor, What would you guys mixture consist of in order to get a good solution of a housewash mix. I use an M5 and by adding less water to the mixture will this help in kill the mildew? Or what would your housewash mix consist of. I use citraclean as my detergent. Need answer ASAP before 11:00 on Sunday. Doing another residential.

To all the mechanic, I just had my Delco Rk41 unit modified so that upon releasing the trigger, it now bypasses back to my supply tank. No issues but I noticed last week that as I was servicing my Rv dealership lot, I released the trigger for about 10 minutes without spraying and I heard the unloader cycle a few times. My understanding in that since I have had the unit modified so that upon releasing the trigger.. my water would just cycle back to the supply tank. If my thinking is correct ... why did the unloader cylce? I hope I conveyed this so not to get anyone confused.

rolhman, I am looking to get into the private car dealership to wash the cars. I heard thur the "vine", that the going rate is anywhere from $2.00-$6.00 to spray and dry. Any Ideas on what I should price?

Jon, Let me answer your question, H**l No I would not be fine with "Whiteys" making that commet if it was 50 black and 50 whites having that conversation. I purchased a Extendawand back in 2004,when I first went into business and I tell you,from the lack of customers service when my wand broke,all the times calling and not getting any response from Steve. It took about 6 months to even get a call back from him. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER NEVER give Extendawand one red cent again. They lost my biz back in 2004. Customer service if very important and you only get one chance to make a great impression. Take my advice get a M-5 or X-Jet.

Hey, I have one that happened this summer while still living in Atlanta. Got a call to clean a 3 story 3500/4000 sqft home. With the highest chimney that i have ever seen. Went without my help, could not locate him on this day. So get to the customers home, she not in. Call her on the cell, she say go ahead clean the house and make sure that chimney gets clean. So had to get out the extension ladder and climb up about 40 ft to get on the ladder to clean the back side of the chimney. Once done I notice that the ladder is only sticking up about 1ft above the gutter line. PANIC SETS IN AT THIS TIME....remembering that I did not secure the ladder foots before climbing up on this roof. So I cautiously step onto the top rung and the ladder kicks out from under me and topples to the ground. I pulled myself back onto the roof and there I sat for 4.5 hours BAKING IN THE 102 DEGREE GEORGIA HEAT ON TOP OF THIS FRIKIN ROOF. By the time the garbage man came down the road and saw my about 40 feet up sitting as if I was watching the world go by I had one heck tan by the time I got down. I tie ladder now at 10ft.

Sounds like an end to a " Freindship" if you half a** do this deck! The customer is exactly that, "The Customer". You must "Educate" the customer and not settle for the half cocked way of doing this job. I gurantee, that if you do this deck any other way BUT the way you know how its supposed to be done, the customer will tell all those who see the after results,that the Contractor screwed his deck up. NOT THAT HE WAS LOOKING FOR THE EASIEST WAY TO STAIN THE DECK AND AT THE LOWEST COST. Please do not compromise your NAME.

What is simple cherry? Is this the new housewash mix from Pressure Tex? Anyone has any experience on how good it work. Bobs the man though. Very helpfull Vendor.

Hey, all. I was in a bind this weekend with 4 housewashes. Only had about 4 gallons of 12% on board that I brought from GA. I ran out of 12% and hit the nearest Dollar Store and purchase about 10 gallons, (the labels says 3qt), anyhow I mixed 4 of these 3qts, to 1 gallon of Citraclean and 2 gallons of h20. Work FANTASTIC and it cleaned just as good as the 12%. Now my question is this. By me cutting down on the h20 in the mix, did this really place about 2% on the surface? By the way I use an M5, no proportioners.

What other ingredient in Gutterzap. I like GZ but have used Purple Power in a pinch. GZ imo is the best out there. You get in and you get out. I brush on and rinse.

Ron, Is your stated mix correct?.... 1/2 gallon of 12% to 4.5 gal of h20. Seems like there is no need for the 12% bleach with that much h20. Seems as though it is useless in the mix. The bleach is diluted to 0%?
