We have a deck we stripped and all the stain would not come off. We had alot left on the spindles. We are going to just sand the rest of it off. What is everyone using to sand in between the spindles? Its to small of a space to get a regular orbital sanders in between them and hand sanding will just take forever. Any inpute would be appreciated! Thanks

Deck Sanding
RGilliam replied to RGilliam's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
We stripped most of it. But it was a solid. I dont think stripping a solid can be done in a hr! Had to get out of the sander! -

Hydro Tek Pro Line Pressure Washer?
RGilliam replied to Shawn F.'s topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Yea I like the hydroteks, If you can get a new one, I'd go that way, You buy it used and you take the chance of something being wrong with it. I have a hydrotek, I also got it from Russ at southside, This thing has ran like a tank, Hardly any problems out of it! -
What can you tell me about this pump?
RGilliam replied to metcalfec's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
That little black thing is a thermal relief valve. Hooking up a downstream injector is fairly simple. If you have one, you can thread quick connects on it. Hook it up where you usually hook your high pressure hose up to. Then quick connect your hose into the DS injector. The-Power-Washer-Advisor I found that for you. Has some info on downstreaming. Im sure you can find pictures there or here. Or somewhere. Just gotta look! -
QC's when? Where? How? Who? Why?
RGilliam replied to metcalfec's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I hate quick connects. more problems to deal with. Things leaking. Replacing O-rings, but also, I dont use alot of diffrent tips, I've tried to eliminate them anywhere I can -

My Chemical Solution isn't working
RGilliam replied to gtkersey's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Greg, how are you trying to apply the chemicals? with the high pressure injector that is on that machine? I would recommend getting a downstream injector and making your mix a little stronger -
Residential customer is grilling me about chemicals
RGilliam replied to MaineWindowCleaning's question in Residential Pressure Washing
yea I never call acid, acid. I call it brightener. "Hey you want me to spray acid on your truck!?!" lol....It tends to not scare as many people off. I call chemicals, detergents. -
I feel like a "cheap lowballer!"
RGilliam replied to CBhaydare's question in Residential Pressure Washing
why are you applying with a pump up sprayer? I understand you said you didnt have an x-jet but you dont even have a downstream injector? You could downstream and get 30ft with the right nozzles. If you didn't have the right nozzles, you could have stuck a 1/4 hose barb on that sucka! -
hot water is necessary for washing houses? and why do you say that?

Carhartt - Product - Men’s Lightweight PVC Rain Coat

I have a rain suit I bought from meijers. I think it was about 60 bucks for the jacket in the pants and its more like a pvc. In winter I mostly wear coveralls. I also have seal skin socks and gloves. Completley water proof. There pretty high tho. $40 bucks a pair. but worth it when your out in the cold washing trucks. I seen a carhartt rain suit at national workwear. It was all black and really thick pvc. I'm planning on going back and getting one this winter. Look like theyd hold up pretty well. Summer time, i dont wear a rain suit.

I debating on buying a isuzu NPR. I found one that is a 2004 but it has almost 200k miles on it. Excellent shape. Not absolutley sure on getting it or not. Anyone have one with there tanks setup on it that can send me some pictures? I'm really looking for something that I can carry around a 1000 gallons of water to a job site with. This one is only rated for 12k. The class3.....:thinking:

What size tanks are those on there? The one I'm lookin at has a 14ft box on it. I'd really like to find a truck I can carry a 1000+ gallons of water. I seen one somewhere that had 2 525 gallon tanks on there. I thought it was on here.

Okay I'm tryin to figure out the best way to lay everything out on this trailer. I have a 325 gal tank sitting right over the axles, pressure washer toward the front, strorage box, and 2 hose reels on there now. I need to figure out where is the best place to put this 55 gallon tank and this other pressure washer. I'm worried about having to much wieght in the front of the trailer if I put the tank up there. I have a small spot in the back there the tank would fit. The pressure washer is just a 13hp honda cold water unit.
