  1. starting a business - newbie needs advice

Are You Going To Have Employees? Do You Have Any Partners? If You Are Planning To Have Employees Then You Will Need To Obtain Your Federal Employer Id # You Will Also Need A State Tax Id, State Unemployment Tax Id# And Workers Compensation Insurance All Required By Law. If You Are The Only Owner Of Your New Business Then You Can Register As A Sole Propietor Try The Irs Web Site - Look Under Business If You Hire Employees I Would Recommend Out Sourcing Your Payroll. I Use A Company Called Paychex They Handle All The Deductions, New Hire Reporting, Tax Filings For State, Federal, Futa And State Unemployment. ALSO, CHECK OUT THE DELCO CLEANING SYSTEMS WEB SITE THEY ARE A WEALTH OF INFORMATION. YOU SHOULD BE FULLY INSURED AND CERTIFIED BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE KITCHEN EXHAUST CLEANING. GOOD LUCK
  2. 2 gun powerwashers.

I saw a two wand system the other day and they had T connector at one hose reel and then a line running over to a second hose reel with a lever valve to turn the second one on and off.
  3. gift baskets

In addition to current customers, Is there anyone who gives their prospects gift baskets? I haven't in the past, but I believe that it will make for a great marketing tool and I am going to give it a try this year.
  4. winterize

WINTER SUCKS! We had an open trailer, kept it in a shop and ran antifreez through it last year, but it would freeze just driving from job to job. This year we installed a airhose valve near the inlet, placed it in a 7x16 enclosed trailer, insulated it with 1/4 stirofoam panels and placed an electric heater in the trailer. I am not taking any chances on the equipment freezing this year. If your like me and your equipment breaks, because of freezing then your eating potted meat and ramen noodles for the next year.
  5. The Gas Crunch

This is rediculous, 99% of all our business is commercial, alot of flatwork now, but We started out with several fleet accounts which made up a large percentage of our business and now were down to one due to the price of fuel. Is anyone else having problems with fleet accounts? How are you handling this? I just pray that the economy doesn't get so bad that we lose our flat work also.
  6. I have work in midwest

Low Ballers!!! How in the world do they stay in business? Theres a low baller in my area that bid all the banks out at like $50.00 ea. Of course the drive throughs look like he took a garden hose to them, but I guess the banks are happy with the thought of just having someone showup, chew tobacco and spray a little water. I guess home depot is not any different.
  7. first a friendly call, then a demand letter, and then collections and or civil action
