  1. 5000psi 4.5 GPM machine?

Phillip can you tell me where you found these machines? Do you have a web address?
  2. Start Time?

How has this cold weather affected everyone's start time? We have had to back up our startime time to 9:00 am (we usually start at 6:30 or earlier). I hate this time of year and I feel for you guys up North.
  3. Start Time?

Micah, we go to gas stations with truck stops. Free air around back and more pressure than those 75 cent machines.
  4. Start Time?

Hey Neil, I just wanted to tell you keep turning out the awesome work. I love looking at your before and afters, keep it up! Good luck to you and have a great 07. Micah, we work nights often doing our commercial accounts and when you start throwing ice its time to head back home or to the hotel. Blow out your pump and your lines with air and try it again the next night. If you create a hazard (ice) and someone slips and falls you better get ready to bend over, this is from Mr. Attorney.
  5. Shop or Home

Jeff, looks good. That is all I need and hopefully I will find something in the next week or so near my home. You could add a nice loft above your trailer to store odds and ends.
  6. Shop Leasing

My double car garage is almost unwalkable because of equipment, 3 trailers sitting outside my house and two trucks, I NEED A SHOP! I have two young sons as well and I hate the thought of one of them getting into the chems one day. What are you guys paying for your shops? Are they storage units or are they shops/wharehouses with power and water? They are developing behind my house now and its only a matter of time before someone throws the nieghborhood covenants in my face so I want to move my stuff before it goes that far. Thanks.
  7. Shop or Home

JFife, thanks for sharing. My feeling right now is stay close to home for the reasons you mentioned. I dont really need an office just the shop for storing equipment and chems. Somewhere to work on things, mix chems without the worries ect. so right now I have no plans for internet, phone and stuff like that. Power and water is all I need so that is what I'm shooting for. I like having the office in the house, I can work on things at my own leisure.
  8. Shop Leasing

Shane, great looking place and a good price as well. I've been looking off and on for the past month or so. The best deal I've ran across so far is 1800 sq. ft. with 3 roll up doors, bathroom, free water and power =$600 a month. Great price but not the best part of town and we only do about 10% of our business in this area. I want to find something closer to the house where the majority of my resi. work is at, but I'm back up to .60 to .75 sq.ft. pricing. Location, Location Location. I've always ran the business from my house but with employees parking out front and equipment everywhere it's time to go. Like I said earlier the chems around the house are a big fear of mine, with two boys(7yr. & 3yr.old) they are bound to get into it one day unless I move it first.
  9. New Boots I am trying out.

Mud Dogs only last me about a month before they lose their waterproofing abilities. I guess it all depends on how much concrete you do, I do love the boots though. We now where BOGS Elemental Comfort low tops. Any hunter out there knows what bogs are, the ones we use for powerwashing are low top slip ons. They are very comfortable and 100% waterproof and grey in color.
  10. Does anyone have a F350 dual rear wheel truck? I am thinking about adding one to the fleet with a flat bed on it. I had one before but it was a gas burner and was terrible on gas. We have a F250 6.0 diesel already and love it (18 mpg) loaded down with hot water skid and the works. I want to put the 350 together with a flat bed but I have a few questions. What fuel mileage do you get? Specify 2 wd or 4 wd please. Loaded vs. empty. What motor, 6.0 or 7.3? Also specify if you have 4 or 2 door, Long bed or short. I'm looking at a 4 door long bed. We also have a Dodge diesel but dont want another one. It pulls and runs stronger than my ford 6.0 but we only get 13 mpg empty and 10 mpg pulling a trailer. I'm leaning toward another Ford but Duramax guys feel free to chime in, I have heard good things about the Duramax.
  11. F-350 Dually

JFife, thanks for the link. I hope this is the only problem, so far its been a great truck.
  12. F-350 Dually

Well I guess we put a jinx on my F-250. It has the 6.0 diesel and we are going to be without it for the next week. EGR valve/sensor leaking coolant, I only spoke with the service guy briefly but it has something to do with keeping the exhaust temps down and turbo I believe is what he said. The truck is a 2003 with only 55,000 miles so its under warranty, I just hope I'm not headed down the path some of you speak of when reffering to an 03 6.0 diesel.
  13. F-350 Dually

Micheal, nice truck. That rear end is killing you, and thats a 450 a little more heavy duty than a 350. I spoke with a guy this evening at the gas station and he claims he gets 17 mpg in tow, he owns a shuttle delivery service. He had over 300,000 miles on his 05 F-350. If anyone else has a truck like this please chime in with your experience, thanks Wesley.
  14. Every Contractor

Anybody on here ever used www.everycontractor.com ? One time fee up front and they provide you with leads. No cost per lead just the one time cost up front.
  15. total package

Your larger PW companies do this. The biggest hurdle for most small companies is having the manpower. You cant expect your lead guys to run the pw operations all day and then come in at night.
  16. Dustin your supplier will match this guys price for you, he will add some water to top off the drum like the other guy may be doing.
  17. Lost without TGS

Jeff, I was wondering where you went. Give us an update on the 8 gpm machine. Does it kick but?
  18. Lab Puppies!!!!!

Celeste, I may be interested in one of the yellow females. Do you have a picture of mommy and daddy?
  19. Are you a Democrat, Republican or Redneck?

    I must be a redneck!
  20. New website: Comments please!

I'm with Mike, Phillip is a good guy and would not intentionally do something like that without permission.
  21. should i go full time

I think the only true measurement for answering this question is: are you losing money by going to your full time job. Basically does it cost you money to go to work. If the answer is no, you need to read Ken's post 5 or 6 times, then I think your question will be answered.
  22. Stolen gas

Along the same lines as Ken's post, An enclosed trailer can also keep away theifs and keep kids from being kids. It's sad but Ken's right if someone gets hurt it will all fall back on North Florida Pressure Washing.
  23. Oh Boy

    Congrats Jeff.
  24. What size is the supply line from your tank to your pump? It should be at least 3/4".
  25. I just wanted to post something since I was never any good at it. Thanks Celeste with the resizing photo link.
