  1. Black Night

What do you guys think of the Black Night belt drives at sunbrite? I don't think im going to get a skid or trailer for a while, but would like something to speed up the house washing. I have an excell right now which is 2.2 gpm or something and runs like a dream (5 yrs old and still kickin). Still waiting for the deckster to get here as well. It's getting to the point where my job is getting in the way of scheduling (Menards building materials), so i think im going to start marketing to make my decision easier. Any who, those washers seem to be the same price as the one at northerntool, but i hope much better performance. Thanks, JL
  2. What do you think?

do you mask off the base of the spindle or make a carboard jig to go around the base? Just wonder how others do it...
  3. Deckster

rick, congrats on the 3,001 posts lol...I'm going to work my deckster like a dog, i hope, and where do you get the ready seal shirts?
  4. Deckster

i wish the deckster came powder coated in royal blue...that would be nice

  6. Deckster

just bought mine 2 mins ago. BOO YAH! Just landed that big 2-tone deck job. BOO YAH! Landed a nice 3 month old AC2 deck job as well, it should be nice just washing a deck and not stripping the finish. P.S. coffee gets you jacked! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO

  8. What do you think?

well I was wondering if there was a correct order for staining the spindles? Should i do the top rail first, then spindles, then bottom followed by the floor? First time with a two tone... I like cabots green solids as well. I might have to get the deckster for this job and another that is close to the same size. I just hope the weather gets better within the next two weeks. Thanks, JL
  9. What do you think?

I suggested to strip the entire deal and use natural cedar with solid green for the spindles...it's pricey but it will be a lot of work.
  10. What do you think?

also, do you know of a solid acrylic emerald green stain?
  11. Finally got around to adding the pics...still have a few more to take of other projects but this is a start.
  12. Advice on Possible Set Up

you might want to beef up that hose reel with a cox reel system otherwise i don't see a problem with it...great price to further your position in the industry.

  15. Hey guys, I'm going to be building a pump cart (aka a deckster) soon and was wondering what kind of pump i should get or what you use. Going to be using it for chem application exclusively. I was looking at the pumptec setup but was wondering what kind of gpm and psi works the best. Thanks, JL
  16. Sprayer Cart

$400 is how much that setup is going to cost including battery, battery box, and additional hose. I will get a better pump when that stock one poops out on me...The only thing that will be going through that pump is the F-series from pressure tek and soon to be the timberpro series. I will be using a truck brush for staining as i think spraying wasted too much product. I am getting my logo updated and a mailer designed so i will be doing a 1000-2500 mailer pretty quick, so i need something that doesn't require carrying and pumping constantly. Overall, i have done a couple decks now with RS medium brown and really like the product. Seems to have an intense odor to it, but looks great after it settles for a week. I love the fact that most of the homeowners that have contacted me really have no idea on how to properly restore their deck and think you just blast the heck out of it with a contractor grade pressure washer. I can just feel their eye brows lift when i start educating them lol. Man, two years ago i had no idea this was actually an industry but thank god i found this form. Thanks so much for the info, if feels great to produce a professional product and be of service to those who are in much need of it. Random rambling tangent, JL
  17. Sprayer Cart

im going to go get this stuff and build it this weekend, i got around $400 for everything. When i get time, i will have to powder coat it royal blue!
  18. Sprayer Cart

what hose would you recommend? 1/4 at 100'?
  19. Sprayer Cart

do they supply that hose as well at tractor?
  20. Sprayer Cart

i don't think i will be using it for stain but mostly for applying stripper an such
  21. Sprayer Cart

does that pump come with the tank?
  22. Sprayer Cart

saawweeeetttt, how do you like it? Where can i get a setup like that?
  23. Sprayer Cart

not yet, i haven't had any time...im still not sure how i want to make it.
  24. weekends

whats with weekends? The phone and email are silent and empty all week, but soon as the weekend comes around it goes nuts. I dont get it.
  25. weekends

it does nothing for the soap or detergent industry, but is a very polar molecule and works synergistic with either a strong acid or strong base. ethylene (green stuff) or propylene (red stuff) is used in antifreeze, so it is a cheap booster for your wood strippers. Also, the sticky property also allows it to cling to the verticals a bit more. No doubt when i mention i own a power washing company, they will be extremely curious as to what i really do and how it will correlate with dentistry. drill baby drill!
