  1. just bought mine 2 mins ago. BOO YAH! Just landed that big 2-tone deck job. BOO YAH! Landed a nice 3 month old AC2 deck job as well, it should be nice just washing a deck and not stripping the finish.

P.S. coffee gets you jacked! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO

  2. well I was wondering if there was a correct order for staining the spindles? Should i do the top rail first, then spindles, then bottom followed by the floor? First time with a two tone... I like cabots green solids as well. I might have to get the deckster for this job and another that is close to the same size. I just hope the weather gets better within the next two weeks.

    Thanks, JL

  3. 5 year old Western red cedar, wolman solid stain, and they dont really want to strip the railing top and bottom rail) but are willing to do so if they think it will look bad (which it will) with the stain. I dont know which color to use to go well with the house color. They want to leave the green spindles because they like the color. I like how sharp the natural cedar looks on western red but confident it wont match the house...

    Much thanks, JL

  4. $400 is how much that setup is going to cost including battery, battery box, and additional hose. I will get a better pump when that stock one poops out on me...The only thing that will be going through that pump is the F-series from pressure tek and soon to be the timberpro series. I will be using a truck brush for staining as i think spraying wasted too much product. I am getting my logo updated and a mailer designed so i will be doing a 1000-2500 mailer pretty quick, so i need something that doesn't require carrying and pumping constantly. Overall, i have done a couple decks now with RS medium brown and really like the product. Seems to have an intense odor to it, but looks great after it settles for a week.

I love the fact that most of the homeowners that have contacted me really have no idea on how to properly restore their deck and think you just blast the heck out of it with a contractor grade pressure washer. I can just feel their eye brows lift when i start educating them lol. Man, two years ago i had no idea this was actually an industry but thank god i found this form.

Thanks so much for the info, if feels great to produce a professional product and be of service to those who are in much need of it.

    Random rambling tangent, JL

  5. it does nothing for the soap or detergent industry, but is a very polar molecule and works synergistic with either a strong acid or strong base. ethylene (green stuff) or propylene (red stuff) is used in antifreeze, so it is a cheap booster for your wood strippers. Also, the sticky property also allows it to cling to the verticals a bit more.

No doubt when i mention i own a power washing company, they will be extremely curious as to what i really do and how it will correlate with dentistry. drill baby drill!

  6. my dad is no longer a ford guy (was one for 30+ years) because of the issues listed above, is now GM. Everytime i ride in a ford i make sure i have my phone with. I dont have a problem with dodge, they are for sure the real work horse of the bunch.

  7. i actually just finsihed witha report on sodium tripolyphosphate, the active ingrediant in most industrial cleaners as well as simple cherry. Does nothing for surfacant but is about 58% weight by volume and used as a detergent builder. Learning lots about propylene gylcol as well.

  8. so not being bias now, i know several people who have switched from ford due to poor engines. I dont know which one maybe the 7.3 powerstroke was really bad or something and they will never go back. I just like the looks of chevy better as well as the interior, but that really has nothing to do with performance...
