They'll survive. Just as with anything else....make sure to rinse it before and after.

Where/how are you guys filling your water tanks
Washaway replied to CentraFlo's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
If the HOA does not pay for the water then a fire hydrant is the way to go. A meter is requested from the county/city and then placed on a hydrant of my choice. In cases where we are allowed to move the meter around its no big deal....in cases where they lock the meter to the hydrant we simply truck it back and forth or sometimes we get lucky and can place strategically so that tethering works. -
Amen!!!

Agreed...if furniture is plastic then throw in pool. If metal then avoid as it will cause rusting and could leave marks on the pools diamond brite etc. Bleach and soap will do the trick. Low pressure and rinse after. Simple and worry free.

How do each of you measure out your potential fence job?
Washaway replied to mrwindow's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Square foot plus a factor to account for any site obstructions and obstacles which can extend job time -
For those of you out there, who make your own degreaser, what else do you add to caustic soda beads to make an awefully strong, effective product?

Mike I've been around, just haven't had the time to stop in....a lot going on. Thanks for the secret mixture :) I need to play with it some before I find my way. Sick of spending money on useless degreasers! Ps: thanks everyone for your replies.

Is it safe to mix the two together? I know muriatic shouldn't be mixed with CH. I've got rust removal and would like to hit two birds with one stone. Thanks.

Haven't mixed anything Gentlemen...just wanted to make sure you're all awake. ;) ps: anyone for some mustard gas?

Great link Beth! -
Flood neighbourhoods with flyers. I started this business by photocopying hundreds of flyers at Kinkos, onto coloured paper. The flyers I designed myself in Powerpoint:) Certainly nothing to write home about...but it did the trick. Once you start landing jobs you'll learn how to price appropriately and your flyers will change drastically. Just don't give up!

I'm sure he was referring to carbon buildup due to airport proximity.

Give Russ Johnson a call, from Southside Equipment. (you can find him here on the board) He's got access to some incredible bacteria based chems that do wonders!!

I wouldn't spray SH in that basement either!!!! The fumes will make you go blind before you suffocate. Plus, you have to take into account the people who live there and their reaction to the fumes. You could neutralize afterwards but still. I cleaned a 30x35x15deep pool used for acoustic testing. It was a nice windy day yesterday and the SH still irritated my eyes. If anything I'd attack it with household bleach, a painter's pole and a coarse brush. Then simply mop up and be done with it. Also, you can give Russ Johnson a call. He's got some new bacteria based chems that smell good and work wonders.

Anyone seen acid leave a mark like this?
-
My assessment was that those stains were not from muriatic acid. Homeowner that the 'other guy' couldn't remove the black dots. Homeowner then gives him some muriatic acid to try and it turned this color. My first question was why would someone pour the acid in the corner by the wall if the spots are 2.5 feet away? (Can you tell i was sceptical?) I went along with the story which revealed attempts with chlorine, bleach, etc. Bottom line is that I poured a bit of muriatic on it myself and it all cleared right up. Washed off, neutralized and hauled butt! Job done. ps: i just don't understand why they have to lie. I have feelings too!!!!!:lgtear:

I can just imagine the conversation: "Officer I swear! The new kid mixed the apple sauce this morning and messed up the ratios. Honestly, it's not as bad as it smells!" LOL -

We've pulled all our trailers with a '98 Expedition 4x4. haven't had any issues but I'm sure it would be much easier with an F350 when the tanks are full. btw, tanks are rarely every full!! there's always water where we go. Tahoe will do fine, you'll see.

Black ?Mold? on rock house????
Washaway replied to dcoronado's question in Residential Pressure Washing
could also be oil deposits in the stone itself. Had a client who bought cheap flagstone and he found out why it was cheap after it was layed around the pool. Bit of degreaser pulled it all out. question is why only that one stone...or are there more of it's kind? btw, that looks like it's a piece from an entirely different batch. -
Just washed my hair, does that count? ;)
