  1. *Scam Alert*

We don't accept CC. You can never go wrong with cash and it's against Federal Law to cut a bad check.
  2. What order of cleaning

If you're going to buy then buy the best! (This will save you money in the long run!) If you're going to buy then buy the standard sizes ....19" or 27/30". (This will save you money in the long run!) The only time you should invest in a 16", or smaller, is if you need it for special applications. Buying used is not a bad idea. The Whisper Washes hold up very well but if you do buy used, then make sure you replace the brush, bearings and seal kit. (not all rental establishments/owners take good care of their equipment)
  3. I've thrown many a ball valves in lakes before realizing that the only ones that last are the cast iron, 7000psi rated, heavy duty ones. Coincidently, that's exactly where all of my 0 degree tips are aswell, at the bottom of the lake. (I've never used one and have never kept one either) Having one laying around is a big mistake waiting to happen.
  4. When do you do estimates?

Barry, never take on more work than you can handle. The quickest way to ruin your name is by being unreliable.
  5. Good laugh.

New York and California.....that's the part I was missing. The rest was self explanitory. :)
  6. RLS I'll look at the pics if you email them to me. info@washaway.us
  7. A homeowner called us back just yesterday, this after I gave her a quote two weeks ago. She, then, told me that she paid half that last time (which happened to be 4 years ago). Either way, I thanked her for her time and left. Her message said something about being sorry for not calling me sooner but she had unexpected guests arrive and blah, blah, blah. Oh yeah, and "Please call us as soon as you can b/c we'd like to schedule a date".
  8. Pulsating ShurFlo??

I'm having the same issue with my Shurflo except that I've got a ball valve at the end of my 250 ft of chem hose and when it's fully open, no wand attached, it still pulsates as if it can't make up it's mind (infact more than when the wand is attached).
  9. What order of cleaning

You should get yourself a 19" Whisper Wash Classic. I've owned them for years and they're the best, I think. Maintenance is a routine thing no matter what but they're sturdy.......I can' recall how many times it's fallen off the trailer and it's still in one piece. Around here they've come down in price to around $450-$500
  10. I need a taste test aswell.........really bad with recipes.
  11. Scary

When they're not there go in and leave a sticky note, for them to find the next day, on everything that you don't like. Structural deviations are easily fixed with a pry bar and a twenty pound sledge....after that you leave another sticky note in it's place. (Anything less and they'll take you to the cleaners) Trust me...they'll get the message.
  12. Good laugh.

Maybe I'm too tired but I'm missing something. I know I should be laughing, I'm not however I want. Really. Please explain.
  13. It is a shame. I made a lot of money, very young, so much that I'm ashamed of admitting it:) It's a dangerous industry though.....IT that is. My profession now will never be substituted for some remoter PW in India.
  14. What order of cleaning

I'm with you on this one CCPC.
  15. Beth and Rod's competition?

You'd think that as a selling point they make an effort to post a pic of a more professional looking setup or truck atleast.
  16. Dropped out of school for a semseter, in grade 10, to help out at home. Worked for a company fueling airplanes at an airport (everything from 737,727,medivac choppers and 2 seater sesnas). I was responsible for a 12000gal fuel truck, full of A1-Jet fuel before I even had my drivers license. Went back to school the next semester and also worked on a farm for 5 five years (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, crash crop growing, operated all kinds of farm eq't and learned a lot) I jumped into the computer industry and became a Network Technician and Administrator. Was hired by HP and I quit after a 1.5 months to go on my own. Didn't like the corporate structure and hated being just a digit. Had my own business for 2 years and got so burned out that if someone mentions their computer today I run as if my life depends on it. So....here I am.
  17. Whether you love your job or not, you must admit that you've gained some experiences and have some stories that are priceless. The travelling must have been a b...h but you got to see some very interesting parts of the world.

  21. Company Shirts

Can you please post the contact information for the company you use. They seem to be cheaper than what's available down here. :lgmoneyey
  22. What order of cleaning

I won't say that start on the roof, then gutters, then rinse down walls, finish with the driveway and then return for the deck b/c I think it would sound repetitious.
  23. Business entity

S corp, right from the get go. Infact we were incorporated before we applied for an occupational license.
  24. help on guns n' lances

I don't see the big difference b/n the aluminium and the stainless option. The insulated portions help with grip but are primarily for safety when working with hot water (not the case with you) therefore if you wish to safe a few bucks then you can opt for non insulated. As far as the sizes are concerned you must have atleast a 4' and a 6' wand. Anything more than that is job specific and less agrevation.
  25. surface cleaner

I own the title for the birds above the draw bridges in south florida....maybe we can trade for the land.
