  1. Pricing

Bravo. Well played. Man you are tough, like a big mi.... I don't think so. Let me get this right, mikey. You said "simply because rookie contractors like yourself can come in and get easy info on pricing" Was this guy going to take some business away from you or something. Dude asked a simple question. Some of your "b. buddies" stated "I have systems, trained employees, high flow machines, fine tuned chemical formulas, better volume, multiple crews to do the work and less advertising expense than a new company" Even that was more helpful than the foolish to post prices on the forum crap. Your full of crap, mike. Do you really have that much time to look at what I am posting. Truly a stalker posing as a Pressure washing deck cleaning dude. True pros- you, maybe not so much.
  2. Recommendations on cleaning this deck

I thought you "big" mike was a pressure washer man not a deck cleaner too. Do you do the work or the hired help? Tim Cater Seems to be more credible than you. AT least he tries different opinions on things that suppose to work. And you? Do you just pressure wash it "big" mike? The oxy bleach he refers to works very good on the black stains like this. Have you tried something else "milky" that has worked? Please share with us in the forum, like it is designed for.

Can you read? Did you see what I said?? The price part is not the issue! The issue is a forum where you can give ideas to help this guy. 2nd don't try to slam me on experience in business. Your systems and trained employees and formulas is cool, great happy for you, really. But you just proved my point, you have a system, maybe guy, you can tell this guy that he will need to established a system for example, the machines he will be using factor that into his job, etc.

Bad mouth you?? You think that was bad mouthing you??! No I could do a lot better than that. I have seen a lot of your postings everywhere and you simply run your mouth and provide no substance. I thought this is a forum for newbies in experience to get help not you bad disrespecting other contractors like you have an other postings. If you have some much wisdom, use it. Your response to this guy was a kinda oh well contractors don't post their pricing. And yes that is true but give him advice as to what to think about when pricing other than, price so you can make a profit It was just a lame response. :)

    Ball is in your court!
  6. Help with pricing

Do you actually think I would state an opinion if I had only hours of experience? It was a joke for Big Mike that seems to believe his experience is the only one that matters. I agree this is not a place to badger, but actually help (newbies in experience) out
  7. Pricing

I am hurt by your words. I don't have time nor do I care about looking on your website, (because I guess) unlike you I work, I have clients, I actually do the work myself. But you seem to have a lot of time, do you actually do the work yourself? My abilities?? Please don't flatter yourself. Please don't give me a pass.
  8. Recommendations on cleaning this deck

Uh..Uh...Uh...NO! I have used some (and I stress some) of his advice. Is it hard to believe that someone might know more than you? I am just giving options other than the others for cleaning the deck.
  9. Help with pricing

Soooo.... just because you joined back in '06 right? You know everything and the newbies don't??!! You are not worth talking to. I responded to this question and you had to run your mouth about other people's experience. So 06' right. Does that mean you know more than other people that post here? If you want to discuss your credentials this is not the place. Obviously you have a situation, a special needs situation that needs to be handled. I simply was expressing my ten hours of experience, and whether you have more experience in this field, I can give a monkey's left testicle really.
  10. Pricing

Spoken as a true business man! Posting prices out in the open public forum, does give the person looking for a service a piece of mind on what they can expect, of course there is always exceptions. Many of my clients thank me for having a basic estimate for services on my website. I landed many big business' accounts for it. Think about it before running your mouth.
  11. Should pressure washing companies be licensed???

They should be licensed I think but in the get state of Washington/Oregon most insurance companies jack your insurance up if you pressure wash especially a business. Is that true in all states? If the pressure washer damages the property they at least better have insurance coverage. Both homeowners and businesses should make sur the person is insured.

And you are? You are not worth it
  13. Recommendations on cleaning this deck

There is some other cleaning solutions from askthebuilder.com. He usually gives good advice, too. I would lean to an oxygen bleach called Stain Solver, completely bio-degradable and will not damage the wood.

I agree with a few of the thoughts from the responses. I think how much time it will take you is important, but you might want to also factor in how high the house is, for example one story or two. My formula (up in the Northwest) is a different rate for one story or two. Also do you use a telescoping wand where you don't have to use a ladder? Is the whole house easily accessible? You might want to test a small area on the house to see if no chemicals is the best route.
