The PWNA has chosen to adopt the Ft Worth TX BMP's as their model. I urge anyone interested to check this out!!! This is my reply to the announcement at *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Hilborn, I will restrain my commits until some Questions are answered. What is the PWNA going to do with this BMP? Are you going to "Shop This Around To States or Cities For Implementation"? Because from what I see All Contractors will have to be permitted & registered.... PAY to be permitted & registered Every Year..... Most Cities & States Do Not Require This! If you're Permitted & Registered and Violate the BMP, They Can Cut Off Your Water And Sewer. If You Violate The BMP And don't Pay The Fine...They Will Put A Lien On Your Property. It Seems This BMP Creates A New Revenue Stream For State And Local Governments At The Expense Of Not Only Your Members But, ALL Contractors, And More Government Oversight And Regulations To An Industry That Doesn't Want Or Need Them!!! I Am Not A "Cosmetic Pressure Washer" I Am A "Health And Safety Pressure Washer" Our Services Protect The Health & Safety Of Our Customers And Their Families. Mike, you're a good guy in my book, I'm sure you feel that this is a good thing for the PWNA, and it may be, But this BMP Is Not In The Best Interest Of Contractors. I Humbly Ask You to Stop this Now.

When to expect an uptick in activity?
Guy B replied to JITSUBRAD's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Can't look at it like that, I'm sure we will be washing before the guys in Minnesota, guys in Fla.& Cali don't stop. Depends on region and area of expertise. -
When to expect an uptick in activity?
Guy B replied to JITSUBRAD's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Brad, since you've been in business a while, what do your numbers tell you? Really it depends on how much activity you create. Your region is pretty close to mine. Short answer is March, but we start aggressively Marketing next month to prep for March. Question, why no website? -
I have these made. Stainless Steel, I modify it a tad where it screws into the QC so it holds the water stream better. Looks like a Ladder Saver, but works better and costs a lot less. Having some made for the Myrtle Beach RT.

Full time or part time?
Guy B replied to One Tough Pressure's question in Residential Pressure Washing
12-13-10 Still Full-Time and in Winter mode. Won't "Strike A Lick" till March, not because I can't, because I don't have to. Truly Cool! Very Blessed! -
Hey Happy B-Day Bro!!!

To be on the safe side Tom, I would contact Pressure Pro directly and have them email you a wiring diagram.

Downstreaming Question?
Guy B replied to propressurewashing's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Even a steel reel will last 2 or 3 years, depending on use. It won't be a problem Dan. Go ahead and change your QC's to stainless steel ones. -
Steve, seems you're misinformed. Down streaming doesn't go through your coil, that's up-streaming. In 6 years I've never had a problem with chems eating up O-rings and the hoses I use last at least a year or more.

Yes you can use that for a backpack system, but I have read horror stories about leaking problems down the backs and butt cracks of people that have used them. Food For Thought.

Question on Downstreaming/x jet
Guy B replied to Washed Up's question in Residential Pressure Washing
John, do yourself a favor and use the "Search" feature. Everything you want to know about anything is there. This is a subject that has been beat to death for many years. Like which is better Ford or Chevy (Ford of course but you get my drift). -
Shawn, if you want to get "Hands On" and get all your questions answered, take a couple of hour trip down my way. More than happy to help.
-
OK, you guy know this thread was started in 2006 right? Most skids come with an "Up-stream Injector" already installed, all of mine have them, never used them. FORD ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry Just Had To Do That.

That's a great statement Tracy, and a very true statement. I think thats where a Company like Sunbrite stands out. I saw this first hand at Sunbrite's Atlanta RT. Micah, the M-5 is an excellent tool for applying oxcolic acid on concrete, but can be hard to control in tight situations. Yes there are "Acid Injectors" available.

There's no "Big Deal" about the Debate, just a difference of opinion, and thats cool!!!! As long as you're making money using either one, go for it!!

We see this a lot too!!! Bad for Homeowners, Great for our Business!!! Unfortunately Homeowners have what I call "The Wal-Mart Mentality" low prices all the time. There's a time and place to save, and then there's a time and a place to spend. I preach this to the Homeowner all the time. Some get it some don't, some call back with stories like this one. Is it bad for our Industry's Image...Yes. But we improve that image by doing the job right. Educate first, then sell. We've talked a lot of Homeowners out of this same mistake through education. Great Post!!!!

Looks like I'll be making a trip soon. Tom I would really like to check out your methods!!! Old Fart, New Fart, I like learning new things.
-
I Like It!!! I've never experienced an angry Homeowner when out cold calling, want to know the secret????...............Don't Sell!!!!!!!!!! That's not a joke, it works.
