  1. Buyer Beware!

Doug, Powerwashstore.com is owned by Paul Kassander. Russ, Paul & Bob are trusted Distributors and good Friends......We only buy from them because of their proven track record of solid Customer Service & Satisfaction........I don't think I've ever read or heard a negative comment about their Businesses. They also do more to support PW Contractors than any other PW'ing Distributors I know of. I've met Larry several times over the years, just a really great Gentleman and super knowledgeable....
  2. Buyer Beware!

The saying..."You Get What You Pay For" comes to mind, China, Honda Knock Offs are just that.....Not Honda's....but its unfortunate that you haven't received a proper response from the Distributor. Might I suggest Pressure Tek, Southside Equipment, or Powerwashstore.com these are the only online Distributors we've done business with (8 years) without complaint.....ever. I hope you're able to get your problem resolved.
  3. Great subjects and lineup!!!
  4. More winter entertainment

I tried to make warmer weather.......Bored.......Bored-er.......
  5. Electric motor won't stay running

Russ, this is just a question because I don't know that much about Electric pressure washers......but if it has an auto stop-start....why does it have an unloader? Safety?
  6. Electric motor won't stay running

I could totally be off on my reply, I re-read that it is an electric motor, I have no experience with them. Does it by-pass like a gas machine? I'm sure a call to Russ Johnson at Southside Equipment would solve your problem. Good Luck!
  7. Electric motor won't stay running

Sounds like the unloader is your problem to me.
  8. RIP Ted Watson

Blessings & Prayers to His Family. Ted was a Friend & Supporter. Always upbeat possitive person.....I will miss him.
  9. How long of a hose can I use

We run 200' and rarely have a situation where we need more than that.
  10. Really depends on the project ($) but generally 45-50 degrees......as temps go down.....pricing goes up.......Just saying.
  11. Fun contractor story ...

Laughing is always a great way to start the day.......Thanks Rick!!!
  12. Vine leftovers

These can be very difficult to remove without the use of higher psi, therefore a higher risk of damage depending on the substrate......we pass on these jobs.
  13. Been a heck of a year.

Adrian, man I just have no words for your loss. Being a Grandfather myself, I mean, I just can't imagine. Prayers and positive vibrations for you and your Family Brother. Just keep trucking Buddy, that's all us old farts can do....lol.
  14. The problems with streaky windows comes from several variables.....#1 would be your detergent mix. We've used simple cherry & now Elemonator for 6 years with no problems.... A close #2 would be improper rinsing. Starting above the windows and working down and even double rinsing windows will help, plus wont take that much more time.....#3 would be a high mineral content to the water supply, or hard water. I have no idea how to handle that seeing we don't have that in our area. Maybe that's when you would use a dish washing additive.
  15. 100's last week.....60's this morning here....I give it to you wood folks, you're a special breed, no doubt.
  16. In the news - Sacremento California

Seems a little underhanded by the "Water Police".....he was ticketed for flooding the parking lot? Clean the concrete with a rag?....Come On, Really? Truly......You Just Never Know.
  17. Equipment Upgrade

Maybe for GPM but not for PSI......You would need to move up to at least 24-25 hp.
  18. Equipment Upgrade

Mick, we have a Maxima and run 8 gpm units, we also run the "Big Guy" surface cleaners. For what it worth, I'd choose the Big Guy (28") over the Maxima (36") every time. If you were pushing say 10 gpm then the Maxima would be the choice. We have the 4 nozzle set up on both the Maxima & Big Guys. It's 1 bar with 2 nozzles on either side....works great, no striping.
  19. Whip Lines

Mick not sure about the "Thrust Bearing" all I know this swivel is best best product out there....bar none. They will last over a year and I think we had one last 2 years. http://www.pressuretek.com/modgvsw3x3.html
  20. Whip Lines

We've never used them, but have always used the Mosmatic 3/8's swivel where the hose connects to the gun. They last a good long time and eliminate "Hose Twist"
  21. Makes sense to change to a lighter oil because of low temps......I've never read anything like your problem, I too will be interested to see other input.
  22. I saw this one time but it disappeared. I think I saw where someone said it was a reaction of the bleach and iron in the water. We're you using well water? F-13 will take it off.
  23. Stuck TS 2021 pump

That really tells the story....Unloader is going bad. You took the psi off the pump, then it fires up....unloader. I would take it a part (If you know what you're doing) and clean it or slap a new one on....either way I wouldn't run it until the situation is resolved.........could be a dangerous situation.
  24. Hoping to do this only once.

I'm no wood expert, but you've come to the right place. I think your expectations may be a bit high. There is no "Super Coating", the secret here is proper cleaning, quality stain, and then maintaining there after. Because you have heavy shading, close to the ground, and near water.......there is no stain and forget out there. I will let the experts chime in......Good Luck!
