Hey James see above I use it everyday it has s.s. pipe in the middle. The 12" model will hold 300' of 3/8.I run 12% through it everyday! Look at my set up the orange hose is 1/2 chemical hose it wraps around a 12" s.s. titan reel.Any questions.I run 5.5 gpm@250 psi 12% its an awesome reel.

I have Titan Reels 18" electric and 2 12" manual wind and have had them for about 3 years the only thing that wears out are the swivels.I bought the stainless steel models. They are proud of them but are worth the money.

broke in new machine, have questions
PWkid replied to CCPC's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
#1 If you fill your tank from the top it could be air bubbles from the hose when your filling your tank. #2 I have a belt drive pump and after running mine all day long my pump is cool to the touch unless its in direct sunlight.Your pump should not be that hot. #3 In my humble opinion anybody that runs off a tank is going to have a sec or 2 of limited water until the pump is primed. -

The chair looks awesome I'm not so sure about the toenails they need a little work lol.Just kiddin. -
In my humble opinion, that much potential weight needs to be on a dual axle trailer, they aren't that much more expensive and will solve most of his questions.

Honda 20hp, no spark
PWkid replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Hey Alan,I kind of had the same problem on a new motor 23hp vanguard on my machine. My machine would run then it would bog down like it was running out of fuel.I checked fuel filter it was full.I took it to a vanguard service center they said It sounds like the little fuses from the magneto.Long story short I put them on and same thing turns out when they built my skid they pinched my low oil shutdown wire against the belt guard and it was rubbing and causing it to ground out.I finally found the problem, I don't trust to many people to work on my equipment. -
I voted for everything lol I love anything cooked on the grill. If I could find a way to grill a cake and make it taste good I would.

The ARMA even suggest using CHLORINE BLEACH to clean shingles they even say put tsp in the mix.Thats something that I don't do maybe I should but my way has been working for years its the most economical and efficent way that I have found to clean roofs (in my opinion).
-
Let me guess a product like sodium hydroxide? Then rinse with pressure. This is a never ending debate.I have done many many roofs and I'll tell ya anything below 5% just doesn't do the job.If the roof has a lot of mold mildew I have used straight 12.5% but I always rinse.I am sure Pete sells a product other than Chlorine to clean roofs but I have tried them all and nothing works like chlorine at least here in Florida. We probably have different mold mildew than you guys up north thats why we have to use chlorine.lol

Roger I have tried 25 degree tip.The turbo rips it right up.
-
Turbo tips are useful in gum removal also in combination with 200 degree water.

Yea I know I can't wait until June July August September when its 90+ degrees and humidity.I love being on roofs when its that hot.Hey washaway I have a good friend in Boca that pressure cleans. He and I have done quite a few jobs together.I work down south alot.

Boy am I glad I live in Florida. We have had awesome weather here last 2 weeks.75-80 during the day 60-65 at night.Went to dinner tonight ,gorgeous full moon overlooking the water, nice seabreeze, cold beer.I must admit it doesn't get any better than this.

Congrats on the job if you do good work and are professional it could turn into several jobs.Good Luck

Remotely locating a gas tank/ fuel consumption
PWkid replied to PLD's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
(Dirty air filters are usually the culprit, but sometimes it's an out-of-whack carb. For whatever reason, some machines are more thirsty than others sometimes.) I called the manufacturer and spoke to tech dept and thats what they told me around 3gl/hr under full load. Its kinda funny I haven't really paid much attention to the amount of fuel I'm burning with that big of a tank.I just top it off every few days and depends on what I'm doing as too how much fuel its burning. -
Remotely locating a gas tank/ fuel consumption
PWkid replied to PLD's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Honestly Philip I'm not sure why it burns so much fuel it is a twin cylinder.Luckily I have a 17.7 fuel tank and my machine never runs under full load for an hr at a time.I'm not sure why your small tools draw upwards unless they have a small fuel pump or something, that might be why you have to prime it first its way above my head lol -

Philip on the 13 hp honda they don't have fuel pumps and are gravity fed on the larger motors they have diaphram fuel pumps.Unless you mount it above motor it won't work.I have a 23 hp Vanguard and the motor alone burns 3gl/hr at 3600 rpm under full load.I have an sdc burner which has I think 3.0 or a 3.25 gl/hr fuel nozzle.I hope this helps. -
Downstreaming- the wave of the future
PWkid replied to PressurePros's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Hello, did you hook the two injectors together? or were they seperate inline?I have tried it on my machine and only one would draw. The first one did and the second one wouldn't draw.I have been trying to figure out how to draw through two injectors for awhile. -
(Hello every one I have an idea I wont to try out.)(I purchased 150ft of xjet hose and I wont to mount it on the trailer along with the hose reel as well)( I wont to thank everybody who has ) I thought well maybe he was in a hurry and spelled want with an o.Then on his second post he did the same thing. Some people (including me) are bad spellers but I'm wandering if the A on his keyboard does'nt work when he is typing that word.lol

Estimates - how do you handle them?
PWkid replied to Beth n Rod's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I do alot of phone estimates but I have an awesome resource I can look up the addy on our county website it shows me a picture, layout and sq ft,if its a huge house on the beach I will take a look at it but for the most part I have never been burned I have underestimated a few times but for the money I'm saving driving around giving estimates I feel its worth it.
