Thx man, I already spilled my guts on PT and recieved tons of helpful advice. However, that seems to be the only way is cold turkey and do my best to stick it out this time. Being real with myself ( a man who is not easily zoomed by schemes and tricks) seems to be the only reality without surrendering my soul to hypgnosis or something like that. However the "nerve you hit" with family is my biggest concern. I need to be there for them to absorb the blows from the world that are or might be directed towards them. That's why I am here..... to serve them.... not myself. I kind of hate myself for letting it get this bad. I almost beat it once and am trying again. I could smoke one or two RIGHT NOW, but I won't, because...... I wanna be were your are ( and many others) right now. So.... I'm tryin' Lol. Thx a mill for your story, it means alot.

Adrian replied to RTheating's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Don't sweat it Tom. I'm not a greaser, but, there are plenty of them here and they are GOOD at what they do. Most of them Vets in the trade who can steer you in the right direction with gear. Lots of good vendors as well. There's a fella on here that has good foamers plans that alot of foks swear by. Lots of good info here Tom. Nice website by the way Tom. Do I get the free air conditioner for mentioning this, or is there more to it? lol. -

I have some biz at the music lab in a few weeks in Austin and might be able to get out there. It's really nice livin' in his neck of the woods. Been busy as a one legged man in fire walking contest. Just taking a breather right now. -

Brian, I promise you, that you will not have any fun as a DIY on this project with little to no experience. I know your area in Austin ( 30 plus yrs. in ATX) and am happy to answer any further questions you may have about stains or processes for your project. Happy to help. Plus I would recommend Bakers Gray Away or Ready Seal for this project. -
I never call the poor guy to "just say Hi". I only talk to him when something breaks and sends me into a tailspin. This guy really knows how to read in between the lines when I call because of my panic attacks. Long story short, the guy saved me around $700 bucks earlier this week for a fix of around $ 5.50. Check your site glasses on your pumps, folks. Not for fluid levels only. They can become loose or worn due to regular use causing leakage on your customers driveway. Yuk!!!! or anything related to an oily messy spooge pile. " But Russ, I'm telling you there is NO SITE GLASS ON MY PUMP" Well, of course I'm wrong. There is a siteglass on my pump ( even if it is covered in oily spooge to make it look just like a brass pump plug ). But it's there for sure. Why Simpson pw, and General Pump opted to put it out of view on their design is beyond me, but there sure is one. .... and that is exactly what Russ told me. And they do become loose or "unthreaded" after season upon season. Lesson learned......... I have the only answer you need for PW mechanical info. Go ahead ask me ANYTHING. My answer will be, call that poor guy named Russ at Southside in KY. Thank you my man. You are one in a million.
