That sort of thing doesn't bother me as much legally as it does morally. Someone visually getting credit for another's hard work and sweat and blood and learning curve. Even broken bones and torn muscles. Do they deserve the credit? No. IMO. They didn't earn it. So don't steal the XXXX pictures. Kind of like: claiming to be an instructor and knowing nothing of education. Or claiming to be a pilot and knowing nothing of flight. Or claiming to know of musical scoring and knowing nothing of time signatures. It's just plain wrong. IMO ( I said IMO, so don't badger me please) Of course..... being "outside of this industry" what do I know. I hope you Hang 'em in the middle of town Beth. ......and Celeste, you are absolutely right. We HAVE shared to much. This industry has changed dramatically the last decade. It's not the same anymore. It's saturated now.

We may actually get some snow, be sure to call the T.V. stations and have your company's name announced in the school and business closings. It's free. Don't call me for the phone numbers. ciao
-
I don't know. I've done it in ATL and HOU. I don't always know or ask where my calls come from. But it's free and it gets the company name on TV. I have had a radio commercial running for 2 yrs. now on KWradio and a tv commercial on the KWmall channel as well. 3300 rotations a month. I try alot of different methods of getting the name out there. I was just throwing that out there for the locals. You won't be working in the snow tomorrow anyways, so you might as well call them and sit and watch for it. There are hundreds of closures and you will be sitting a while to see your name on the screen. But seriously, what do the metrix matter when you get free exposure, whether it draws business or not? It gets your name out there...... and it's Adrian not A-drain. Because .... well, I'm not a drain. A drip maybe but not a drain. Have a nice day, stay warm.

I have been doing it for quite a few years. If it's free I am all about it. Sometimes they will verbally announce it, most of the time they will just run a ticker at the bottom of the screen. Radio stations too.

What PSI for pre painting outside wall ?
Adrian replied to diamondbar's question in Residential Pressure Washing
What kind of wood wall is it? Cobb blasting is an approach as well without saturating the wood beyond redemption with a pw. -
Rare find for 5k. Also notice the Continental with suicide doors right next to the vette.
-
Yeah, it's for sale but I didn't see how much. When I can drive again ( shoulder issue) I will get by there and get you the info if you like. I'm happy to do it. I have always liked suicide doors on any vehicle. It's just the coolest idea. Gull wing doors are pretty cool too. But nothing compares to the "chick scooper" suicide doors. As soon as I am able to drive anywhere other than the physical therapy torture chamber, I will collect the info for you.

So, do you think this was an add on to the vette. I do remember the prototype vette wagons. They never went into production, but, there were a few of them made. Is this not an original in your opinion. I still think it's a cool find, but to see one in the flesh is a rare event in this case. BTW, the Lincoln was in mint condition too. Very classy, and very cool.

I bet it is fun. I have always wanted to operate one just so I could have the experience of it. Somewhere online I saw a plow attached to a Honda civic. And it worked. That's got to be some crazy fun work.

No snow or ice here yet, but in North Texas they are getting hit with it. So far Jan has been the worst month. Just a few freezing temps here off and on.

Am I the only one that thinks this is cool?

I've always wanted to drive a snow plow.

Happy (belated) New Year... a different kind of resto.
Adrian replied to Adrian's question in The Club House
It has been in bad shape for almost a year now Beth. But lifting that wash tub sized flower pot after a deck resto is the straw that broke the biceps tendon off entirely. The customer was 80 + yrs. old and not able to move anything. The deck came out very very nice. I was just swinging by to put all the furniture back in place after it cured. I tell ya, the sound that the tendon made when it happened sounded like a stick being broken in half. CRACK!!!!!! It felt relieved afterwards for about 10 minutes. Then the pain set in. The Dr. had to reem off bone fragments and re-shape the clavicle (sp?) as well. My wife put me on "restriction" to the end of the driveway (100 ft) when she is not around. ....at least I'm learning to listen a bit. ha. Take care. -

A fence resto

If I am not mistaken, that is one of the colors that Shane designed a few years back. i absolutely love the tone myself. It does lighten up a bit, but it takes a while. The customer was overjoyed with the finished project. The down side to this project was another of my chief complaints. A yard filled with dog ( rhymes with spit) everywhere. The last 3 or 4 projects have been clouded with dog spit. Dog spit everywhere. I hate that. 500k home filled with dog spit. I had to rinse the hose on this one as I was rolling up. Nasty nasty dog spit. everywhere. I could smell it the first day I went for the estimate. Thanks for the positive comment Paul. -

Thx Mr. Stone, I was thinking about how crazy you were when you were texting from the hospital ER. Glad you are back at it. I am honestly chomping at the bit right now. I have work, I want to work, I need to work, but the arm just won't allow it right now. It's been two weeks now and it is looking alot better. Personally I HATE giving my jobs away. Some of them I have to though. It amazes me that people wait 10 years before even thinking about a washing and then they can't wait a few more weeks or a month until I can get to it. They want it done NOW. My regular customers certainly understand. But the new customers have no heart to wait on me. Go figure. Hopefully I will be waving the wand and stroking the guitar in no time. So far no complaints though from the sub I am using. Amazing the pain that this situation has caused me. Today really sux because it is my birthday and I would like to celebrate, but, simply can't. I'm doing pretty good typing one handed though lol. Glad you are on the mend Scott, and back out in the field where you belong. caio all. -

Thanks Doug. Not really back to full swing yet. Just hopped on the pc today to "catch up" pay bills and check the insults, I mean, email. I'm still looking pretty good with some extra SH. My sub has been going through alot of it as well. I think he drinks it with his coffee. Just shout. I'm outta here. -

One for the road. I felt really clastraphobic after the surgery ( on heavy meds I might add). I decided to take a walk for some reason, when my wife wasn't looking. She found me on the nature trails 3 blocks away just bopping along aimlessly. She was freaking out and I don't even remember going there. Just me and my shadow I guess. Hope your year is off to a better start than mine is. At least I have customers that are willing to wait for my bionic arm to recoup. You guys take care and have a great year ahead. -

Way overboard with the Santa stuff.
Adrian posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Just venting a bit. I'm all about having a nicely decorated holiday theme at the house for Christmas and all.... But todays fence prep was plagued by candy canes driveway lights (100's of them), inflatable Santa front yard globes, Rudolph scenes, elfs and all kinds of shhhhhhi......... stuff, to weave my hose around. Had to run 300 ft of hose ( on both sides of yard) on this project and dance around all of this stuff to get to the back yard for the fence. Ugh. Well, I guess I am complaining. I guess part of my attitude is the fact that with the budget of Christmas decorations, they could of at least hired a doggie poop service to take care of the mountains of other shhhhhhhi....stuff in the back yard. Those poor dogs. Geez. Has anyone ever refused to provide a service due to debris, poop or too many Santas dancing around? again, just venting a bit, what a project. -
Customer wanted a darker tone. So I gave him one.
