  1. Retiring from my moderating status here.

Kris, welcome to TGS, we're glad you're here. Please complete your signature line, house rules, it's required. ( sorry,..... auto pilot, ...... it's what I do!!!!) I love my xjet!!!!!! Clear heads prevail. It's not the strongest or the smartest, but, the quickest to adapt, that survives!!!!!!! Peace through sonic distortion.

John, you're "Top Shelf", brother. Not many can boast your accomplishments.

Al...... _+1 Well put!!! The only thing I would add is to bring a balancing pole as well. Because the fence we have to walk on many times turn into a tight rope. ( in a hurry)

  7. Hey Rick, Sometimes our customers actually ask for the remainder of the projects stain. So they can do "touch ups" on their own. Ever run into that? Do you then have to "double tax" the product so you don't take the hit? Or is that covered in your margin? We could lose the almost 9% on state alone. It kind of forces us to shoot for the highest possible margin, despite what the competition does. Thats why we are here to make $ but anticipated future operational cost' make it hard to bargain. .....and some folks just want a bargain. .....
  8. A little love on the side

I make stuff like this on the side. "The Guitable" 1978 Les Paul studio axe. Tolex wrapped to resemble amplifier, with chrome amplifier conerpieces. Custom cut glass that holds up to 40# inside the "chamber" is the sheet music to "crossroads" where a "deal with the devil, was made for fame and fortune". I also have a Stratocaster version of the Guitable to complete a set. .....and "Black" really seems to brighten up the place. Kidding, it pretty much goes with anything though. Just sharing..... thought??????

  13. We always try to order a bit more than the project requires. Your seasons are shorter. Your shipping cost' are higher due to fuel surcharges. If you could eliminate the shipping and handle your own P,U,&D your expenses would drop, which would allow a higher profit margin. Im sure there are a million ways to break yours down. Just charge more!!!!! We all have to to keep up with our increased cost' of operation. I'll let Jim take over, he's in your part of the continent. - - - Updated - - - Damn Jim, I knew you would field this one , but, beat my post. lol.

Wow, I bet Paul Williams was the talk of the town man. 1 song 20k people. Even if he didn't get paid, it had to be worth it. Cool read. thx.

It's fun "headscratchin" stuff to do. Not really re-cycling but more like up-cycling. New hardware always with a vintage piece of musical material. Why throw it away? Me and those axes have alot of memories and stories to tell of our journeys together. Might as well keep around huh?

    He STILL steals unattended waffles.
  17. Full speed ahead brother. nose to the grindstone. I got a few squeeks and grinds in the old hinges. I have to shut things down from time to time and give the bones a break ( bad choice of words). But hell yeah man, 50 years young, still kickin' azz and takin names. Im just trying to do as much as I can, while I STILL can. Taking just about every job that comes my way. ...... going to see RUSH in a few months. FIRST ROW FIRST ROW FIRST ROW.
  18. Never really made it official.

We no longer offer the Breeze Brush, or produce it, or pawn off the leftovers. I tested the waters, learned a buttload about the market of invention, and had my fun with it. However I will report that the model I currently am using has lasted through over 50 projects without any kind of failures. The model that we gave Shane to review had around 25 projects under no failures before it was stolen along with his gear. It was fun while it lasted. Thanks for the support and interest. Hmmmmm, .... let me see, whats next........... BOAT BRAKES !!!!!!!!

  21. You need to make your self a "Boom Train" It's not really an official product available to the public. No, it's not another failed attempt at stardom in the staining industry, .... Just a personal tool I designed that works everytime over the water. kind of pricey initially, but last' a long time. over and over. I have had game wardens and lake rangers comment on how effective it is. Instead of citations, I got compliments. Works every time, until your freaking helper lets it float out to sea. ( that's another story)
