Adrian replied to seymore's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.

What is the Best Turbo Nozzle Made
Adrian replied to Lightning Gene's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I just looked at the link provided. Says they discontinued at Northern. Maybe suttner is just using a different distibutor these days. I swear by my dual suttner. Great tool. But it has the same recoil as a .12 gauge shotgun. Gets the job done. -

My suttner dual turbo rulezzzzzz!!!!!! I don't use it always, however, it can rip a curb in no time flat when needed. I wonder why it has been discontinued. -
The most influential person to you in this industry & why?
Adrian replied to John T's question in The Club House
Who::::::I have to go waaaaay back for this one. But they both still ring true in my book with the most knowledge in their craft. Doolittle and that cajun dude named Shane. lol. Why:::::: because they really know their chit. They imparted their knowledge in a way that would stick with me and make me money. Can't go wrong with that. -
Scott Stone-- Do you still have doubts??

Why do we get clocked on the net when something positive is being done??
Adrian replied to John T's question in Having A "Blast" (sand, soda, dry ice, etc.)
Well, there is a high likelihood that I miss most of whatever drama is going on. Intentionally. My moshpit days are long over with. Hopefully my view(s) expressed have been positive....... all the other stuff.....nonna my biz bro... Im just viewing the road most traveled from a far off distance, and landing new customers. I dunno man, if everyone would just check their ego's at the door ( not do away with... just check)... a person could go away with more than they came with, IMO. That philosophy worked for Leo Fender, Les Paul, Randy Rhodes, and oh yeah!!! The Babe, and that dude that made the automobile, What's his name..... Ford. Try to stick to whatever philosophy that will leave a "wake of good " behind you if possible, even if it seems "Horse and buggy" at the time. Everything comes full circle bro sooner or later. Many though, will just be Richard Heads along the way. -

How dare you try to improve our industry. You are ruining our reputation as slimey uneducated oofs that don't know how to be professional or capable of functioning in the real world. You should be ashamed of yourself for caring about this industry and trying to bring better insight into what we do for the customers benefit, oh yeah.... and our benefit. How dare you John, ... how dare you try to make things BETTER. Those bashers on the web.......... trolls under the bridge bro. -
What would you suggest?
Adrian replied to Jason Reider's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I have used one of Shanes rigs, and I can tell you it kicks azz. Of course I have "Deckster" running through my veins, but, his brand is an incredible idea. -

Insurance, yes, definately. LLC = you might as well stay sole proprieter if only part time. 6000.00 can be tripled on a part time basis. If you only do vinyl finishes , then yes 6000.00 is realistic at part time. But you will get bored fast with vinyl only, when there are so many other areas to tap into. Flat work, Hardi, EIFS, wood, roofs, window cleaning. All can be done part time. If a customer calls your company and asks you to clean a brick finish, are you going to turn them down because it's not vinyl? Not trying to be a smartie or anything but if you limit yourself to vinyl only, you'll go under quick. Hope that helps but thats my 2 cents.

Is there a new generation of exterior wood restoration contractors?
Adrian replied to RPetry's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Wood resto is an art form. Barrier penetration into this industry has to be one of the easiest out there. Mastering it, is one of the hardest. Some people jump in and find out the water is too cold. Some people sub out work to us so they can take credit for the work and piggyback on your rep., due to their lack of skillsets and intelligence level. Hopefully I am seen as a vet. It would be a nice moniker to have. It has been more sweet than bitter learning this artform. ....great thread btw Rick. -

'Los, #1.... you should learn how to park. Look at the mess you caused. ( Park right side up next time.) #2.... you should never work in sandels as in the pic. ( Not much of a company representation with that tacky uniform). #3.... I am just kidding and your work looks " killer" as always. Cool to see you and Merry Apocalypticus
