  1. Rick, Ive been using canvas ever since I started spraying stain so I understand your procedure I just never thought to replicate that for the stripping portion of the job. Hell I've got half a dozen 15 footers sitting in the shed. Glad you posted that picture, I love the idea.

We don't tarp when spraying inward either, it just means more oil on the horizontals which is nice.

yeah +1 here. I like that idea.

  2. If cleaned regularly and taken care of, a high quality brush will last for a few years. We usually spray stain, but back brush, so our brushes get a lot of use.

Purdy, Wooster, or other high quality china bristle brushes are what we use.

I have a couple that are china from Kwall that I have been using for a couple of years now.

Unfortunately I do not have the tact that you have and I just wrap mine up in a rag and do not clean them at all. The RS oil seems to keep them soft in between uses. Or i'm just lazy. But the Kwall brushes hold up well for me.

  3. YYZ, love that tune. Played it alot ( in the closet ),lots of "from the heart".

Never was good enough to cover Alex. One too many hammer bashes replacing wood.LOL. Some things are better left untouched.

That tune and whole album bring back many memories. I'm gonna have to load it in the mp3 player now that you mention it.

Witch hunt, Vital signs, Red Barchetta , My uncle has a country place that no one knows about.......

It's gonna be a great weekend.
