  1. I recieved a sample package today from a group called Flood.

The product they sent me was called Restora.

    http://www.flood.com/flood/

I never asked for the kit. They are just doing some pricey soliciting I guess.

The product claims to revitalize vinyl and shutters. They claim it will be a great add on to upsell onsight.

I have had great success with carnuba ( for vinyl) through the xjet. Lots of shine.

BUT..... here's what got me..... They offer a lifetime garauntee on the product and could very well be a great upsell. They only offer %'s of profits with out actually giving you a measurment to go by. Probably because of different areas economies. So I do not know what an application with a lifetime garauntee would cost on top of my resi and commercial washes.

Anyone ever use this? Is it a good product worth the investment and the upsell? Most vinyl resi are not in upper tier areas 200K and below. So most already don't want to part with what $ they have. It's like pulling teeth.

Am thinking about any business extention I can add when I move to the Lone Star next month. And this seems to be doable.

    ??????

  2. I landed a resi from Service Magic last week from a lady that was being told by the city to comply with appearance codes. The city has been sending everyone with dirty homes letters for compliance. This area is not part of a H.O.A., just regular small properties in the city. There were other PW firms on the block behind me. My back hurt so much watching them work their knowledge with their wobbly 15 foot wand and 40 degree tips hanging from ladders and such. And little 'ol me with just my trigger handled xjet. Kidding.

This is the area for the "Deadliest catch" right now and I did 2 more resi's today from referrals in that area, 2 more for Sat. ( what is wrong with me working on a Saturday?) There are others firms getting business as well.

It's like this area is a hotbed, I thought Summer was over.

Here's the question: I had never considered researching what cities are enforcing this code. Is there a way to find out what is being enforced at any given time? Website? Technical name for the dept. superviser of codes enforcement?

Pelt the neighborhood with postcards hard and heavy before the ice forms?

I thought the season was taking it's last breath but it is putting up a good fight before the holidays. I am stacked up for a lone ranger. It is starting to get a little chilly but I will hold out as long as the season does.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? I am already a registered vendor for the county that is doing the enforcing, and would think that the county would implement their current resources, but I must have missed that phone call.

I know once Dec. hits, that's it, put away the deckster and start loading the moving van. The resi's will be spending $$$$ on the holidays. The ads run out at end of Nov. I just want to take quick advantage of this compliance thing. Then I will pack the xjet in it's custom stainless steel case with retina scan entry.

  3. Yea, I love Sunbrite and their staff, but it is a 95 mile round trip for me and I make the trip for stains and strippers, but go through so much SH Ga. Chem. is about half in mileage. Time was everything this Summer for me. Both places are great it just depends on what I need. Hey Jeff call me about the ford, I really need to unload it soon.

  4. Ill pimp it modern, just give me a little time.

Going to install electric lock pumps and alarm first off.

There is a key for the door which is a seperate key for the ignition, and then even another key for the electric window in back.

Then gun turrets and sheilds, and a cattle gaurd.

I just got through installing the "whip" cb antenna for the real retro look.

Gotta run, Charlies angels, Dallas, Dynasty, and 3's company is on.....

  5. Good point, I thought he had it that way to draw more air. I will put it the right way. I just got back from a couple of bids that literally would have taken much more time in the 4 banger. Keep in mind I rarely saw 70mph in the 4 cyl. Now I'm at 80 and don't even remember getting there. I found myself behind some slower cars this morning and my heart went out to them.....( for about 3 seconds) then I merged with the flow ( which is generally 75 to 85 mph when everyone is bahaving, without any effort at all.

anyone want to buy a Ranger with relatively low miles?

  6. Some of you have read of the adventures my little 4 cylinder have lead me into over the past few years. I get flipped off on a daily basis at the very least, because it is so slow. Great on Gas though. I have stepped up[ or steeped back to the past]. I scored this 454 suburban from the 77 in perfect shape with low miles and ALOT of power and speed if needed. Came with 14000 towing package. Garage kept and well maintained. Just thought I would share. Oh yeah, no computers either, so I can keep it up for the most part myself. It's like a battle ship going down the freeway. I haven't been flipped off all week long. That's a record for me.

  7. my .02. I would not use hd 80 unless you can cut it down and not make it such a hot mix. It could very well fur up the finish, even with all those coats.Outdoor stains will take several days for the odor to dissapate sp?. You don't want that odor in the house with baby around. Plus there is an after odor with the neutralizer as well.

Try finding some info on "Fornby" ??? products, they are geared for indoors I believe.
