You are right, Moveon.org and ACORN have taught the democrats well. They had a rough time last election, but have learned the lessons from failure well.

Yeah, it is along with the Clinton, er, Communist, er, Cable News Network. It is no secret how I feel about Obama. I will just be glad when Wednesday is here, so people will stop calling me. I am tired of the three propositions on the Arizona Ballot that are not what they appear to be, because they are being promoted by the very industries that they are meant to control. People stopping and stealing or defacing campaign signs on a very regular basis, as well as the people that have personal agendas against someone that is up for election. I am also tired of the democrat attack ads that are on TV all the time here in Arizona. For what it is worth, the DNC has spent over $14 million dollars into the campaign in Arizona, while the Republicans have spent an aggregate of less than $2 million. Talk about buying an election.

Well, for no charity event, and with 200+ items to hand out, we were done in an hour and 15 minutes. We give out ice water bottles, soda pop and capri sun juices. We used to hand them out to everyone, and now just limit it to kids under 18. When we handed out to everyone, we would get 5 adults, all with their own candy bags, and one kid in a stroller asleep. They would expect 6 water bottles and soda pops for the whole crew. It takes a lot of the fun out of it. I also counted 35 vehicles on just my street that were trick or treating, that were not from my neighborhood.

Well since they protect William Jefferson from Louisiana and others, without any prosecution, then vehemently attack any republican that does something that is not nearly as stupid and vain, I would say they would put an unqualified candidate up for election. Additionally, since they love to attack Sarah Palin as unqualified, yet, her resume far exceeds Obama's, that can put questions to mind, as well.

So, if I am agreeing with you, which I think I am on at least that last point, is, the country is going to hell in a handbasket, and the choice is, whose handbasket is smaller to take us there in?

Don't you think that there is possible a small difference of getting a grant from an organization, and declaring your candidacy for a public office in their living room? Or serving with the same person on multiple boards, and then attempting to cover it up? Then again, the Annenberg Challenge, which is where Ayers is involved, is far different from the Annenberg Foundation, which is a very conservative Philanthropic organization. They are two totally different entities. Similar to you being linked to Ron, if he had done something illegal, because you cross post on each others BBS's, and because I am a super mod on both. We usually start the evening prepared for around 200. At 7:30 the lights go off and we go in. After 7:30, it is teenagers and people from less affluent neighborhoods that come in by the bus load. We are not into that.

Just a minor correction, you have to be a citizne to LEGALLY vote in an election. Unfortunately, there are groups that shall remain nameless, that think that everyone should be represented and able to vote, so they do their best to circumvent existing laws so that they can be represented. I could go on for a while about this, but, it would get heated.

You forgot to put in mileage for your vehicles. They did not even list my superduty on the list of vehicles. I did put in the biggest vehicle they had listed, and then a total of all mileage for all my vehicles. 52.55 tons. IT said I was much larger than average. Now, if I did not believe that there was a political agenda, I would have been concerned.

It sounds like a 1511, but, I would have to check. Mi-t-m is kind of strange in how they list pumps. I am thinking that it is a disservice to their customers, because it does make it moderately difficult to find parts for repair, unless, of course, you go to Mi-T-m.

This is just my opinion, but you were being foolish. It might have looked dirty and like it needed work, but even if you spent a grand getting it in shape you would have been money ahead. Since you are starting out, I would think you would be more interested in having some crisis money set aside to overcome potential problems, buy insurance, unintended repairs that could very well happen with a new machine, or to have a few xtra bucks for that one piece of equipment that could possibly have put you over the top. Let alone taking into consideration the time and effort it takes to set up a trailer for the first time. It hurts to be new in any business, because nearly everyone misspends money on start up. I wish you luck, but please do not think tha you totally understand this business if you have not already been involved in it. It is a different animal.

I lost a 300 foot feed hose reel off the back of my trailer once. As soon as I noticed it, I went the three miles that I travelled and it had already disappeared. Things are bolted down much better now...

Though it is not known for being accurate, Keating Five - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia You will notice that McCain and Glenn were the two that were found to not have done anything unethical. They did exercise poor judgement, though. You will also notice that all of the ones that were found to be unethical were democrats, by a democratically controlled ethics committee. Of course, 4 of the 5 were democrats, but, we won't make something of that.

McCain did undergo an investigation for his association with Charles Keating, and was found innocent by the senate. I would think that would be sufficient. As for the difference in ads, if you are relying on the advertisements for your information, you are never going to get the whole story. An association is not a crime. I will agree with you whole heartedly, but, a trend of associations does tend to raise questions in my mind. I guess it would be like if you saw your son or daughter hanging out with the local gang, (the bad kind), Wouldn't you start to wonder what they were involved in? I would, and wouldn't you tend to think that they were up to something nefarious? I would. Finally, if Obama is so clean and innocent of any wrong doings, why has he declared so many subjects about his past off limits? He has declared his wife Off limits, even though she is still campaigning for him, and yet, Cindy isn't. His kids, I agree with, but if it is good to do an investigation on one persons wife, I would think it would cut both ways.

Your claims that statements are made solely because Obama is black would be the same as saying statements against Palin are because she is a woman. Though I am certain that some of the statements are racially tinged, I am looking at his record, or lack of record to mae my judgements. I am also looking at what others have said about Obama, including his VP pick. Very little has been complimentary. Additionally, I think it is worrisome that many are afraid to vote against Obama for fear of being called racist. And no one has questioned Obamas intelligence, though most studies I have seen have put it at around 119, which is similar to JFK. Howevr, you seem to forget that our sittimg president has an equally prestigious degree from harvard with an MBA. It does not seem many have a problem questioning his intelligence. ON EDIT: I also have another concern. It was stated that Ayers is reformed, and that Obama was only on a board with him on one committee. Fact Check, on 9/12/2001 Bill Ayers stated that he still wishes that he would have done more in his terrorism activities. That is far from reformed. Reformed would have been, in my opinion, Bill Ayers saying something like, I still think the war in Vietnam was wrong, but I went over board in trying to stop the war by bombing the Pentagon and the White House. Terrorism is not how problems are resolved. As for the one committee thing, Obama was on two or three committees with Ayers. He also kicked off his political career in Ayers front room, and finally, Obama was the chair for the Annenberg Project. The funds for the Project were provided by the Annenberg foundation. ($50 million) Do you know who it was that did the write up to obtain the grant from the Annenberg Foundation? Bill Ayers, then, since he had the money, he put his friend, Barack in to run the thing. Their ties were far closer than one committee. Want to get into Rezko and Wright, now??? Face it, Obama has a habit of hanging with hoods and criminals. I fear what other kinds of hoods and criminals are in his closet, that he owes something. BTW, how is it that the Republicans are the party of the rich, when, Obama has surpassed any previous presidential fundraising in his quest for the White House? And, that being said, if he truly wanted to be egalitarian, why did he refuse the public financing of his election? Could it be because he knew that he needed to get so much out there, that he could practically buy the election?

She is still the only one of the four candidates that has ever Governed at an executive level. The rest have always been legislators. And she does not put her foot in her mouth nearly as much as Biden. If you want to talk experience, let's talk Obama. In this race, any talk of experience is a non issue, as long as Obama's experience is not included. And Change??? How can you have the Change that he is touting when your running mate is the second or third longest sitting US Senator? I do agree with Biden, from the primaries. Obama is not ready, and McCain is fully qualified.

I always look to Britain for what should happen in the US, because they are always concerned about US interests, or not. They could still bear a bit of resentment from a couple of wars that happened a couple of hundred years ago.

The only time I have even come close to losing a trailer is when someone else hooked me up and I only did a visual inspection. Well, at least the only time in the last 30 years... One time, I was towing a Uhaul trailer, when I was first driving. It came loose on me 4 times in a twenty mile trip. It was quite the experience.

Let me make it simple. You have a business. You are fairly successful at your business, pay your taxes, (all of them) have employees working, and have a standard of living that you enjoy. Pretty soon, someone comes along and raises your taxes, and a lot of it has to do with you being successful. It happens often. Problem is, your prime customers, the ones that you are able to get $10k for a restoration, also get their taxes raised. Well, now everyone is getting their taxes raised, you and your customers. In order to compensate for the tax increase, you need to raise your prices. That causes inflation. Your customer, who might or might not be able to raise prices easily, decides that his log home can do without its restoration. You lose the potential to make that money. So your gross income now goes down. Because your gross income went down, you need to lay off an employee. That poor sap now needs to find another job, but, it seems that everyone that employs people, AKA the rich, are all in the same boat. That means that he cannot find a job. You are working harder, because you really need a worker, but are not making enough money to justify a worker, and this unemployment goes up by one person. Henry has the same thing happening to him. He also lays off a worker and has the same results. Now there are two workers laid off. Pretty soon there are 7 or 8 people laid off in the neighborhood. Hmm, well now it is trickle down economics. A common theory is that for every person that is employed, there are approximately 8 other people that support him, or her. Now it is 9. And it goes on and on. Now back to the guy you were going to do the restoration for, he is also dependent on people beng employed because he works for the manufacture of left handed wing nuts. They are needed by people in your neighborhood. But, now you have 9 new people that do not have a job. That means that your potential customer does not have people buying his product, so even if he did want to overlook the tax increase, he still cannot afford the restoration, because, he is not making any money. And thus, it spirals down.

I guess it depends on who is doing the ratings. To me, that was a bit over and above PG 13.

You do realize, of course, that Liberals were the ones that fought tooth and nail against civil rights, don't you? Maybe you remember that it was a liberal that enabled the policies of the great depression and then successfully tacked it onto Hoover, a mere year and 9 months after he was in office? (remember that economic policies have always taken a year or two to trickle down) That Liberals are the ones that did not want to defend us against the attack from Japan, but, would rather talk as the bombs were dropping? Or were also the ones that got us into Korea, and ramped up Vietnam? They also are the ones that let the original bombing at the world trade center slide? Or that it was a liberal that had hostages held in a third rate country for over a year? Maybe you might remember that it was a liberal that had our interest rates at 21% with unemployment at over 10%, a mere 28 years ago? Maybe you might remember that it was a liberal that also dismantled our on the ground intel forces in favor of satellites and wire taps, (which by the way, the Liberals will no longer allow) Maybe you recall that a liberal was the grand dragon of his local KKK? Perhaps you did not know that per capita, conservatives contribute more of their personal funds to charities than liberals, by a wide margin? Maybe you also did not realize, that the evil rich in congress, the wealthiest of the wealthy, are mostly Liberal? Or that a liberal was in charge when the lending restrictions were lifted that put us in our current mess? All that being said, There is a place in government for both parties. That is another part of the checks and balances that are so predominant in politics. The problem comes when one party, or the other, refuses to mediate, and take an unworkable idea and make it workable.
