Jon, Have you ever been to Eureka Springs? It is one of the most eclectic towns I have ever been to. The residents seem to get along even though they may disagree with each others "lifestyle". The "deliverance" type people haven't been seen in 30 years. They probably went to Branson and started a music show. I personally wouldn't go near Branson, but if you like to shop it is a good day trip from Eureka Springs to go to the outlet malls. Eureka Springs is a great place to just kick back and relax. Chuck

Lots of different types of place to stay, shop and restaurants. Branson, Missouri is a short back roads day trip away, if you like that type of thing. This is a good time of year to go. It is a long drive from Georgia though. Congratulations to you both, Chuck

Grime Scene thread makes Cleaner Times Magazine - Sept issue
crispy crittr replied to Beth n Rod's question in The Club House
It can take more than a week for all of the magazines to get into the mailboxes. The postal service does a good job, sometimes it is just a slow job. We have a couple copies mailed to the office here and I don't think we have received them yet. Stay safe & hydrated, Chuck p.s. - If there was a special mailing list, Beth would be on it. Rod, maybe not, Beth, yes.:lgsideway -

Just be aware of what was in those pails to begin with, the ammonia your adding to the pail may not be compatible with what was in the pail.:headspin: Stay safe & hydrated, Chuck

It was good to hear there was a safe landing. I have only missed a couple of launches and landings since Alan Shepard went into space. This mission being one of them, which is sad for me, due to it's importance. I remember several years ago when the shuttle came over Arkansas as it was coming in for a Florida landing. I was with my son (15 or 16 at the time) and he had never heard a sonic boom. It is a sound that you never forget. It reminded me to go in and watch the landing. As a kid growing up we heard sonic booms almost everyday. The Little Rock air force base was a SAC base (now a C-130 base) and we got to where we didn't even notice them. Then someone, somewhere complained and now you can't fly faster than the speed of sound over the U.S. Ah, the good ol' days. Stay safe and hydrated, Chuck

Hello Beth, Things are always good in Arkansas in the spring, unless you have bad allergies. The Daffodils have come & gone and the Redbuds peaked last week. Everything will start turning yellow in the next week as the Oak trees start doing their spring thing. You guys stay busy, stay safe and stay hydrated, Chuck

Mike, I have one more suggestion. Just ignore it in case someone else mentioned it earlier and I missed it. Baby wipes - Go to Sam's (or wherever, we only have Sam's) and buy that big box (case) of wipes that are in with the diapers. It is a great value and you will use them, lots of them. Hopefully someone will give this as a baby gift. These are what I get to give as a gift, which leads to a tip for single guys who have to get a baby gift for someone. Because you are a single guy and the box is big, you are not required to wrap it. Just stick a Christmas bow on it with a card and hand it to the new dad. This box makes a great impression and it is less than $10.00. I have even taken a magic marker and written on the box when I forget to get a card. Chuck

Mike, Two Things: 1) Life as you know it never, ever be the same again. Although there will be times you wonder and doubt it, life will be much, much better. 2) Having a baby is like riding a bicycle. Every once in a while you have a MAJOR blowout. Congratulations to both of you, Chuck

Good luck, Lance. Also, tell Matt Jones hello for my mother, she's a big fan. Chuck

FYI - Do Not Call Registry for your cell!
crispy crittr replied to PowerPlay's topic in Business Topics & Tips
Here is a link to snopes about this. http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/cell411.asp When I registered my home phone with the national do not call list the calls stopped within days. I would come home and find at least two "consolidate your credit cards" pitches on the answer machine and several other calls on the caller I.D. There is nothing now. Who "woulda thunk". Have a great Easter everyone, Chuck -
Page 46 of the March issue of Cleaner Times Magazine has an error in it. The correct phone number for Sun Brite Supply is: 1-877-5-SUPPLY or 1-877-578-7759 My deepest apologies to Pete and Tracy for this mistake. This information is posted with permission from the BBS Administrator Chuck Cleaner Times Magazine

The March issue of Cleaner Times had to be reprinted. When we received our office copies we discovered that certain parts of the magazine were not readable and our printer reprinted the issue. We knew the March issue would arrive later than usual, but thought the postal service would have had the issue delivered before now. Chuck Cleaner Times Magazine

Hey Bob, Went across town to the Oyster Bar today and had the Shrimp Po Boy and a side order of Fried Okra. It was good --> real good. This thread just kept me thinking about it. That can of Slim Fast will just have to wait until Monday. Chuck

Bag Of Money In A Dumpster Area!
crispy crittr replied to R. Williamson's question in The Club House
I wouldn't touch it. It could be a numbers drop. This actually happened (maybe) to a guy I worked with many years ago. When he was about six years old (late 50s), he was going through public trash cans on the streets in his neighborhood (a town in NJ near Philly) looking for bottles to collect the deposit on when he found a bag of money in a trash can. He ran home all excited to show his parents and when they saw the money and found out where he found it, his Dad immediately left with the money and came back without it. When he was a teenager his Dad told him that he was probably seen taking the money and that is why he returned it so quickly. Chuck -
"Does that okra have flour or cornmeal on it." Is that a rhetorical question? This is Arkansas, of course the mixture has cornmeal in it. Bob, when you come through here on your travels to Texas, we will stop around the corner at Sonic and get an order of onion rings to eat on our way to the Oyster Bar for an order of fried okra. You can almost hear your arteries closing down just thinking about it. This thread started out as favorite fast food and quickly changed to good food. Chuck Cleaner Times Magazine

There is a very popular local "hole in the wall" here called the Oyster Bar and the Monday special is all you can stuff!! red beans & rice. I guess they picked Monday because it is a Cajun tradition? Their Tuesday & Thursday special is Shrimp Creole, combine that with an order of fried okra (best in town) and that is one of my favorite choices for lunch. They were just a mile down the street from our former location. I haven't eaten there since we moved two years ago and may need to make the trip across town soon, I need a fried okra fix. Oh well, time to go get the Slim fast and drink lunch. Chuck Cleaner Times Magazine

There are no better fast food onions rings than Sonic onion rings. Yes, Bob, they still have that tall bag of onion rings and the smell still hangs in the vehicle for several days after you order them. If you ever get to Little Rock we will go around the corner to Sonic and have a brown bag special with tator tots and two large orders of onion rings on the side. After "Slim Fast"ing for lunch, I may have to do Sonic for my "healthy" meal of the day. Chuck Cleaner Times Magazine

baquacil pool chems?
crispy crittr replied to rocco's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
It's been almost 15 years since I worked for a pool and spa company, and we did sell Baquacil and all of the realted products. I was even certified by Baquacil (after only four hours in a classroom). If I am remembering correctly it is peroxide based as opposed to chlorine based. A local pool store that sells Baquacil (talk to the owner or manager) should be able to help you with the specific chemisty. Good luck, Chuck Cleaner Times Magazine -
I sit in a chair on the bank & trout fish. If you look real close, you can see my son, in his blue sweatshirt, fishing next to my chair. I was probably napping in that chair shortly after taking this picture. It also a favorite spot for fly fisherpeople starting at the bridge and going downstream from there. This is a link to the "resort" directly across the river from my fishing/napping spot. http://www.swingingbridgeresort.com/ This thread has given me the fever to go. The Browns are spawning and you can catch the big ones in the shoals. Happy New Year, Chuck Cleaner Times Magazine
