  1. do you have any money saved

Jon,they just sell the tuff skid not mfg. them. For the most part all skid's are the same but some are cheaper made. I think im spolied, I have a LARGO and have the pressure switch fail. THAT'S IT. IN 3 YEAR'S USE. Now i have a used cold water unit and can rebuild a pump blindfolded. I dont need customer service when i got the WIZ.
  2. Beth or Russ What would happen if i mixed citrolic in with the efc38 and tried to skip a step?
  3. I brighten everything. With my $100 set up and a 72 inc lance or xtenda-wand i can apply chem at 100% up to 30 ft or more. One other thing a lot of contractor's dont/wont do. Buy a cheapo wash unit and hook it up to your chem tank. Rinse when done. The pump's cost about the same as a shur-flo and can last a season. Housewash mix's/efc38/citric acid/soap all can be appled at 100% and 1500 psi. No bucket's to carry around and the time you save is well worth the pump cost's. No one talk's about ROLLER PUMP'S either. A ROLLER PUMP can make the biggest diffrence in your buissness other then more GPM then any other piece of equipment in your truck[well maybe a surface cleaner]. Im looking into this right now. Im going to talk to the local lawn fert. guy this week. I want more PSI then GPM.
  4. Sanding?

stainless steel pool brush and leaf blower.
  5. this will depend on a couple of thing's. First diffrent GPM wash unit's use diffent sized x-jet's. The more GPM the less the draw rate. You will need to test your's to get the draw rate. A 4 GPM will get a 50% draw rate and a 5 GPM will get a 33% draw rate. Second thing is how strong do you need the cleaner to be? 2 cup's can make 5 gal's of heavy duty or 10 gal of light duty. personaly i like the dekster idea better. I have a shur-flo and hand cart set-up. My helper spray's on the EFC-38 as im setting up. Then i start washing. As he get's done and im cleaning he mix's and applies the brightner and we finnish at the same time[or close]. Then we pack-up and wait for it to dry. Sometimes i'll use the x-jet to apply the gutter cleaner when the cedar is wet with the EFC-38 and wash everything at one time. Hope this help's
  6. Exactly What Do You Want!

    was her name ANNA NICHOLE?
  7. Exactly What Do You Want!

where was the digi cam when you REALLY needed it? Seem's your going to be useing a whole nother brand of stripper for this deck. Dont even want to know what kind of sealer your going to use. Better use thompsons, that way you can go back every 2 month's.
  8. easy-off only work's when it's the reg brand. Not the fume free stuff. By the way reg easy-off is 4% sodium hyd. That is why it work's. Either brand of beth's or greg's wood stripper in a spray bottle with a small squirt of Dawn will do the same thing.
  9. should i buy the x-jet????????

i wonder if they can make a super large X-JET to shoot FOAM to put out oil fire's and plane crash's? Mount it to a deck gun on a firetruck. SUPER SHOOTER.
  10. should i buy the x-jet????????

dont you have problem's with your downstreamer at 350 ft of pressure hose? What is your pressure loss? once again these problem's stem from friction loss.
  11. should i buy the x-jet????????

it all depends on the langth of hose and if your connecting to a wash unit or a tank. Even if the supply head has a 1/2 inc opening you may still need a 3/4 inc hose. Why? simple, the longer the hose the more friction loss you get. Water rubbing againt the wall's of the hose. That 1/2 inc spigot has water pressure. Every ft of hose after the spigot will slow the flow. The tank will fill more slowly and a wash unit can suck a hose shut if the run is to long. Im a vol fireman and know about this stuff. A pumper can suck a hose dry if not near a main. Sometimes you need multiable pumper's to pump to one pumper to get the flow needed. If the truck is too far from the hydrant you need 2 pumper's. If you take a 5 gal bucket and drill two 1/2 holes in the bottom and take another 5 gal bucket and drill one 1 inc hole in the bottom, which one will empty faster? the 1 inc, by a large margin. far less friction.
  12. Where to buy?

my bad. $40 to $999 is 5% if you ask no question's. Just the fax and nothing but the fax. 10% is for $2000 or more. Still worth it to me. I sure dont need a helper to make up an order. I wish they would sell BROWN DERBY, but they dont sell caustic's.
  13. pitch witch

if your going to walk the roof's, why dont you just use a surface cleaner with the proper sized tip's to reduce the pressure?
  14. Where to buy?

A-P;US, FAXING your order to e-spec save's another 10%. Just wanted to give you the head's-up.
  15. before you get DEAD SET on enclosed, what do you wash mostly?
  16. go to www.mobileclean.com See that trailer set-up? $7200 ready to go to work. If you can find a better deal then this on a rig that is anywhere comp. to this set-up PLEASE e-mail or post it. I love my LARGO.:D
  17. should i buy the x-jet????????

www.xterior.com Paul, you would have a QD at the shur-flow pump by the reel. just pop it off and roll-up the line. I think force feeding the supply to the x-jet would give a higher chem ratio then trying to draw chem. You sure like testing. Why not give this a shot when you get a min? Glenn has a downstreamer and shur-flo hooked together and get's a higher draw rate. They do make a 2 stepping machine. So i'll assume they have a reel. www.mobileclean.com
  18. should i buy the x-jet????????

why wont someone just build what everyone want's? A duel hose. One R-1 pressure hose with a light weight 3/8th's hose attached. Make it 200 ft long and have a shur-flo 12 volt pump that push's the chem to the injector? You can build this set-up for about $150 plus the cost of the pressure hose. $75 at e-spec. HOUSEWASHING SYSTEM. Second thing get rid of the stupid proportioner's and have get rid of the $2 shut-off valve and put a DEMA valve on it. The valve will open to diffent degree's and meter the flow. Third is getting rid of the hanging supply line and pipe it in like a weird duel lance. One pipe running to the back of the x-jet and the other to the bottom supply. Both go back to the gun and the 2 lines connect where the reg wand connect's. This is all called 2-STEPPING EQUIPMENT[you will need to modify it a little] but is all stock stuff. Where their is a will, their is a way.
  19. i only wish you could buy powdered bleach and mix 12% by the 5 gal. Who has positive proof that 12% SH in a 20% UPSTREAMER will damage your pump? You will be rinseing it everytime you rinse the house. I just dont see how [after upsatreaming] that 3% bleach that is rinsed out immeditely can hurt the pump. Im thinking a $300 pump[ts2021] once a year might be worth the time saveing's over the X-JET and bucket bergade? Any comment's?
  20. Scorched Concrete

A-PLUS if you want the job then check this out www.wonderpaint.com click the pic of the cement.
  21. Scorched Concrete

    acid etch it muratic
  22. When you mess up and get some sand in the supply line because you dis-connected it to rinse. Then the sand get's stuck in the orfice and you now have 3000 psi built up in the line's and all quick dis-connect's. Where do you relieve the pressure SAFELY?
  23. x-jet/blockage question

even with a ball valve, the pressure is still stuck in the wand. Also, cant stop in the middle of the job. I was lucky and has 1 twist type quick connect and just lost the O ring. This post was more to help other's.
  24. Down Streaming Sodium Hydroxide

firefighter's now have ''positive pressure mask's'' so leakage is far less of a problem. As for JON, that's not a beard, it's a HEMPA FILTER. LOL
  25. This what im looking to do. I want to build a cheap[cost effective] remote control unit. Anyone into street rodding? Simple, cheap and complete pkg. It just has to do two things. Remotely turn the burner on and off remotely turn the chem on and off. My thinking is a remote car arlarm that only has 2 functions and 2 electric door activevator's[on strret rods with shaved door handles they use these to pop open the door's] more or less an elctric piston that has a 3/4 inc throw. BUDGET $200 TIME 1 WEEK-to have the plan ebay can be our friend Installation must be as simple as possiable all part's easy to get for everyone. Who's game?
