  1. Trailer size needed?

I have a single axle trailer rated 300 lbs wth a 225 gal tank, hot waer skid and hose reels. The axle did bend on me over time, abot 4 years. I got it replaced and been fine since. I do not have to haul water to far when I do. When I get a nesw setup I will be getting a duel axle or a small box truck.
  2. Restora?

Has anyone else gotten a call from Flood this week about Restora? I got a call from them Tuesday morning and was told that they are nolonger producing or promoting Restora. John told me that Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings ( I believe that is the name) that makes Sikkens stain bought Flood and they will be consentrating on wood care. They have some stock now that our suppliers can order. I was getting gear up to push Restora this year. I have seen another product that is made for painted steel and fiberglass. I am going to chack it out on vinyl. I tested a spot on my garage 3 years ago and it still shows up better then the rest.
  3. Cleaning Tile

Thanks Beth, There is a cleaning crew coming in after us to do the fine detail. We only need to do the pressure washing. I'll remember this advice down the road. I'll see you next week in NC
  4. Sole Proprietor vs. S Corporation?

I incorporated in 2001. I sent my papers in and had a small mistake and had to correct it. I did not become incorpoiated untill April of 2001. I was not able to file my taxes as a scorp for that year because you have something like 75 days after the the first of the year to file for that year. Give yourself enough time. Lenny
  5. Here is a picture of a deck I did with Wood Tux. This is the firast time I have used it. It finally stopped raining so I could stain it. I loved it. It took me about 30 to 45 min. to stain it after I covered the wall of the hous with plastic. I will be pushing Wood Tux where ever possable.
  6. My first Tux

If anyone can resize this picture, please do so. I am having trouble with my picture software.
  7. Gutter Cleaning Results...

That sounds kinda of high for cleaning gutters. When you were doing your test did you do each test on dry gutters or did you do it on the ones you just got done rinsing. I have not used any gutter shock but I here other guys say it is good and right up there with krud cutter. I use gutter zap mixed at 2 to 1. sometimes 3 to 1 when I am going to brush them. Good luck finding some one to pay that much. I think I only paid $2 a foot to have new gutters installed a couple of year ago. Take a look at this post on this board http://www.thegrimescene.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=410
  8. How's this for clean gutters?

Ron Strickland at Xterior sales has the gutter zap. go to xterior.com or call 1-800-xterior. If I order mine by 2:00 I have it about noon the next day. It just happens to be the path UPS takes at no extra cost.
  9. Beth & Rod's picture

Beth, I just got my new issue of Cleaner Times. Is that you and Rod's picture on page 54? It is hard to tell from the back. It looks like you. Good picture. lol
  10. Reed, I never thought of using windex bottles aither. I have a 1 quart pump up spray bottle that I am going to try on my next deck. I got them at Home Depot and Lowes. I have used them on windows and the have a good spray adjustment . Cost about $5 to $7 each.
  11. How's this for clean gutters?

Tony, They look good. I use gutter zap also and I mix it 3 to 1 and then apply it with the x-jet to second story. On a single story I mix it weaker and use a brush on it to cut the cost.
  12. Monster Garage!!!!!

Would a remote start that is made for a car work? I figured you could hook up the starter wire to the starter and then the wire for the electric lock to the heater. I don't know if there is a third to hook up to the soap. I do not know much about electronics.
  13. Who does Awnings?

I have done some awnings for a major customer that I do sidewalks for. It can be fairly easy to do. I have used gutter zap on them. I use a soap nozzle to apply and to rinse. You need to be careful not to use too much pressure because you can blow the treads apart. Go to www.doitrightinc.com and find out more about cleaning them. They also have a sealer for them. I will be doing some more after the pollen season and I will post some pictures. I always do the windows with them. It is easy to clean after rinsing with the pressure washer. If you leave the windows dirty it takes away te effect of the clean awnings.
  14. Awning Cleaning

Take a look at www.doitrightinc.com for coloring awning. I used some of there cleaners and they worked fine. I have also used gutter zap. it works good also but be carefule not to use it to strong.
  15. Happy Birthday Lenny!

Thanks Beth. I'll have a good day. Our boys are all coming for dinner tonight.
  16. Sodium Per.....Hydro.....Hypo ?

I had the same problem when I first used the x-jet with a 3 gpm machine. I had to get a different orface so it would draw. Until I got a new orface, I would hole the wand and x-jet as low as my bucket of cleaner and horizontal and sprayed until it started to draw. Then without stopping the spray I would go to work on the house. I will look tomorrow and see what size orface I had.
  17. Profitable?

Windows are easy to do. All you need is a bucket and a couple diffeant sizes of squeezes. I use a little Dawn dish soap in the water. You can make some easy money, (if they pay). I have done a few houses but I do not think I could get $5 to $7.50 a window. Maybe I'll bid at that and see if it flies.
