Beth and Rod have a thankless job, no one except someone that has taken this type of responsibility will ever understand how much this takes from you to keep it going. My hats off to you both for doing it this long.
Yes Big Guy - It IS a Thankless Job :(
And I think Beth does a great job when you consider she also runs a BUSY Company.
These past few Months have been a VERY stressful time for me.
I want to apologize to any one my posts lately may have offended.
I offer this apology not as an excuse for my behavior lately - but as a reason.
I have been under a LOT of Stress lately - lets just leave it at that ?
I take full resposibility for my actions - and apologize to everyone for them.
This Includes Mel - Beth - Scott Millen - Scott Karvonen - Russ - and anyone else.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all your kind words and prayers and to let you know that Bonnie passed away this morning @ 10:15 am. The good Lord must have heard all of your prayers and decided it was time for her to go home where I'm sure her suffering has ended. Again, Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart and from Bonnie's family.God Bless You Larry.
She is with God now free of Pain.
I feel your Pain Bro.

Hi everyone. I haven’t posted much but have been reading for over two years. My son and I have been in business for almost three years. To take the business to the next level we have decided to make our presence known on the internet. In doing so, we decided to change our name to something catchy that people can remember. The website will be finished soon but I just wanted anyone who had seen our name know our new name.I appreciate all of the valuable info from the many great contributors. We wouldn’t be as far along as we are without the bbs’s.
Thanks
They will never "remember you" IF they can't find you in the first place :(
Your name should say WHAT you do, and WHERE you do it.
Clay County Pressure Washing, Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa, Miami Roof Cleaning, Tampa Pressure Washing. are all good names.
Unfortunately, the "catchy" names will screw you up for a search.
Sorry to "spoil the party" :(

Lookin to replace my chemical hose.Any advise where to find chem hose for a good price
thanks
Goodyear in Tampa and St Pete Florida sells Kurri Tech Hose.
Remember, the bigger in diameter the hose you buy, the better your chemical pump will perform ?
AG Hose is the very best, but we find it stiff, harder to work with.'We use the RED 5/8 Kuritech.
Check the spelling, LOL
The Red Kurri Tech has held up a year, cleaning 2 to 4 roofs a day, 5 days a week on our roof cleaning trucks.
It is MUCH more flexible then Ag Hose, cheaper too !

Here is a discussion on excessive hugging.
-
I would get some kids together, and hug him nonstop, see how he likes it ?
My Dog used to chew newspapers.
I took a rolled up newspaper, and taped it into her mouth.
She soon lost her taste for newspaper :)
Aversion Therapy, it works, if done right.

Here is a good explanation of pressure and flow loss.
http://osuextra.okstate.edu/pdfs/F-1231web.pdf
A coliled hose has a loss of 10 psi.
That may be of little importance to someone using a pressure washer, but to a roof cleaner using a 45 psi 12 volt pump, it can matter.
-
Yes, 100 feet of hose is 100 feet of hose.
But coiling hose introduces additional friction losses into the system.
All things being equal, a straight hose flows better then one coiled up.
-
Happy B Day Mike :)
-
That is why I do not roll all my hose out. The water does not have to travel so far, keeping your volumn and pressure up.What ??
Coiled Hose always has more restriction then straight hose.

Happy Birthday Mike :)

Chris,Low-priced, promotional hoses, usually 1/2" diameter, deliver 9 gal. per minute (gpm), and higher quality hoses with 5/8" diameter deliver 17 gpm. A 3/4" hose delivers 23 gpm, almost three times what a 1/2" hose delivers. The larger the inside diameter of the hose, the less pressure loss over any distance. If the pressure is low (under 40 psi), the hose is running uphill, or is extra long, then the largest size hose available should be used to minimize pressure loss in the hose line.
You will experience pressure loss through the garden hose as you increase the length of hose. The larger the hose ID the less loss you will experience. Any reel regardless of size will create some loss, especially in the swivel. Depending on the size of your water tank you can probably get by. If you have a 500 gallon water tank and fill the tank prior to starting the job you should be able to stay up with the water demand for 8 gpm using 200 ft. of 3/4" garden hose.
Thanks Larry.
Many have no idea of the performance they are losing by using small hose.
As you know, the loss of a hose system is the sum of all the parts.
Since the manifold of a hose reel, or the swivel, is but a small fraction of the total, we often "get by" with diameters less then what we would like to have.
In the OLD Days, it was common knowledge to use as big and short a hose as possible.
Somehow, that message got lost.
Thanks for bringing the message back!

Thanks guys, it was truly the most fun I have had in awhile, I had my wife and kids, and my employees there to support me. I have been making chilli for a long time and this year I decided to enter it in the Chilli cook-off. I have had friends and relatives tell me it was the best but I have never been asked to make 10 gallons of chilli I did not know where to begin,I took my regular recipe and added a whole lot more stuff. lol It turned out good I guess because I won my category and I had several people come by after sampling it and tell me it was the best they ever tasted. To be honest I keep it simple with lots of onions and peppers and several pounds of meat and Italian sausage (thats the key) ssshhhh don't tell anyone.lol I never make it too spicy hot. I think thats where some people over do it.Just looking at you makes me Hungry Mel :)
I could see us putting away some Chili and a Beer, after work of course.
TOO Spicy Hot kills the flavor, IMHO.

Your site is looking good! Nice job!Beth
ps... best way to get damage shots I know of is to take a camera with you on estimates, or look through your before shots on jobs you have done. There is often damage...
Beth, there is a BUG, or a Glitch relating to Chris Chappell.
TRY to quote his posts, it dont work.
I get an error saying message is too short, and ONLY on Chris's posts.

That is awesome Mel !

You act surprised. It is more shocking that the Cards are there. People around here are shaking their heads in disbelief.Around here too Scott.
HOW they got by the Panthers is anyones guess ?
They will not be so fortunate against the Eagles, even at home.
The Eagles will pressure Kurt Warner relentlessly with designer blitzes.
What IF we have an "all pennsylvania" super bowl ?
-
Got to Love The Eagles, arguably the hottest team in Football right now.
Carolina was a shocker, losing to Arizona.
Arizona will not be so lucky against the Eagles, even at home.
Looks like we are gonna be eating cheese steak in Tampa for Super Bowl ?
