John,
Things have slowed down here big time. I haven't got a call in three weeks and my friend who has a big PW business it's been over a month. I usually close shop in mid -December but this year I think I'll wash my house, patio & dock then winterize the equipment. I hope in the spring things turn around.
I retired 7 years ago and have been PWing for about 5 years now full time. Thanks for the response.
Take Care & Good Luck
Phil
Thanks for your response...

Property Management Company
PowerWashofVa replied to PowerWashofVa's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Thanks Ron, I put a bid in for 460+ homes and was wondering if anyone dealt with Pinnacle. I'll know if I got it in two weeks. I am going to have help getting it done if I get the job. So I was wondering since I have to pay my subs every two weeks what would be the management companies turn around time. Phil -
Contact Hory County & hire an off duty officer. They will steal everything when you turn your back. When my son first started with the phone company he was up on a pole and was watching the citizens trying to break into his van. He call the police and they (crooks) told the officer "we just wanted the copper" Go figure?

I use both downstream and use a X-jet M-5. It depends on the job I'm doing. It's another tool for the professional pressure washer.

Don, I was born in Brooklyn and lived in Staten Island until I was 25. My parents had a cottage on Seneca Lake near Walkins Glen. You live in a beautiful part of the country but NY is expensive. Take Care, Phil

WOW - Just got mine a few days ago.,.. it went down $4.00 for a total of $361.00. I guess you have to charge more up in New York State.

insurance just went up
PowerWashofVa replied to douseahouse's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Yep, the last insurance company told me they would pay for damages to the house next door but not the house I was working on. That when I learned about care custody & control. My friend still has my old company. I never placed a claim either did he. I explained it to him. He didn't seem to care, you figure it? -

PowerWashofVa replied to douseahouse's question in Residential Pressure Washing
John, I had that conversation last year with my agent (Atuo-Owners Insurance). I asked him about damages. I even went so far as to ask if by chance the electricity shorted & the house caught on fire. He stated I was covered. John, I'm a retired OIC of Organized Crimes so I always worried about liability in my past profession. I did waive the terrorism coverage, which I could not believe they offered. Phil -

I use Auto Owners Insurance, never filed a claim. Last year paid $365 for 2 million. I purchased from a local insurance agent. -
New Door Hanger Idea.. Good or Bad ?
PowerWashofVa replied to itswillist's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I would suggest you keep a record of the address, price & something about the property. When they call you'll sound like you know their property. We use to do that with a lawn care company I owned. It worked well in certain areas & zip in others. Good Luck -
Anybody working now in the N East?
PowerWashofVa replied to CLASSICPW's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Just got back Sunday from my second cruise in two months. Building a ramp for the new garage/shed for my PW equiptment. Getting ready for the tax man. Fine tunning my spring marketing plan & getting my material list ready. -
Saturday I had a 12x24' shed delivered. I had a garage door put at one end and double doors on the side. I just finished painting the floor about 30 minutes ago. Next week I'll get some crush & run and make a ramp so I can park my rig inside. Thw best thing about it its about 75' though the woods & you can't see it from the house. The other nice thing is its about 125' from the water so it has a great view. When I owned my Lawn care company we rented space and between the rent, electricity & other expenses so for me this was the way to go. Keeping my expenses low is the trick

I use to own a Spring-Green Lawn Care franchise in the 1990's. Never again, they got royality on my gross (sliding scale). I found with Power Washing you can learn from the professionals on the BBS and work for free to gain experience. We also have many suppliers that help with questions. Some of the benefits to a franchise is the name (only if is well known) trainning and material purchase.

Dilution Ratios: General PWing - 20 parts of water to 1 part Pressure Wash Fluid Heavy-Duty Pwing - 10 parts of water to 1 part of Pressure Washing Fluid The web-site is www.mirachem.com The company is out of Phoenix AZ. Thanks, Phil
