  1. Background checks

I am going to hire 1-2 employees but I am thinking about doing background checks on them. What company do some of you use. I sure there are good and bad companies out there for background checks. Thanks. Ed
  2. hiring employee

I need to hire full time employee for the first time. We do window cleaning up to 32 foot ladder work. Most of the work is 20-24ft ladders with some 32ft ladder. We are in the suburbs of Chicago any idea for a good starting rate of pay? We also do power washing and interior gutter cleaning. It will be over 40 hours in the summers. Thanks, Ed
  3. I have a guy that is doing a 1,000.00 a month all commerical work. He is now 72 and wants to sell his route. I still have some research to do before I make an offer. The route is in the south suburbs of Chicago, Il. The question is if everthing looks OK! what is a fair offer for his route. Thanks Ed Reedy
  4. Parking garage

Can't afford a machine this year the one I have now is only a year old. Plus I invested in a truck mount carpet cleaning truck so I'm am working on expanding that. ThenI had to build a new garage to put the truck in. I am thinking if I get the job to hook up with someone else.
  5. Parking garage

I have a 4 gal 3500 psi, I also have a cold water 4 gal 3500psi. I think I will tune that up for rinsing. I will charge five cents a sq ft. I will just have to go to disney world by myself and keep the wife working. Thanks for the help and advice.
  6. Parking garage

I don't have to reclaim the water. I have the unit on a flat bed trailer, I will have to invest in a water tank to put on the trailer. I really don't know how long that will take since I have never did a job of this size. I done window washing for the village hall, train station, and bus stops. Hopefully I have a little bit of an edge on others. Does anyone have any idea how many sq ft can be done if a 8 hour day. I have a 30" surface cleaner.
  7. Parking garage

I have to bid on a 3 story parking garage. 1st and 2nd floor enclosed 3rd floor roof top parking. The Villages wants the dirt and salt removed. Total sq ft 480,518 I'm thinking $48,000 this is in Chicagoland area. Is this to high or to little of a bid I am figuring .10 sq ft. If I land this job I will be going to disney world.
  8. Re-seal gutters

I had some cutomers ask me about re-sealing their gutters in the corners where it is leaking. What do you use, and do the gutters have to be dry to use the product. Also what do you charge to do the job 1 story and a 2nd story.
  9. I have a customer who wants me to give a bid on wall washing in their condo stairway. How much a hour should I be charging or per sq. ft. I clean their windows every year. thanks! Ed Reedy
  10. Parking Lot

For now they just want the lot cleaned of cigarette butts and paper picked up . I'm sure down the road a bit I can hit them for power washing. I picked up several of the store fronts for window cleaning. I just trying to find out what the price range is for the parking lot. Do I charge 60.00 hour or is that out of line it might take me 3-4 hours to do the lot by myself.
  11. Parking Lot

I have a customer who wants me to give him a price on a parking lot. I would have to blow off around the sidewalks and the outside edges of the lot pick up paper and cigarette butts etc, It's for once a week. I never tried this before How to you figure or an hourly rate. It's a pretty good size stip mall.
