Beth, Scrubbing with mineral spirits did NOT help. I have ordered some percarb and will try that. Ken, I'm with you on that, open the container and apply is all one should have to do. I'm glad I don't normally do decks and have to put up with this. But then if I did do decks, I might know what the heck I'm doing. Its a learning experience ( I don't need ).

Beth, Thanks for the info, I'll try scrubbing with the mineral spirits first then if needed I'll percarb wash it. This is my own deck, and I'm sure glad its not a customers.

Well, I have a similar problem, Have an area about 8' X 14' that is still tacky after 3 weeks. Have mopped mineral spirits twice and lacquer thinner once and has not changed it at all. Next to it and done at the same time I have a 18' X 24' that has no problems, dried the same day it was applied. I'm thinking something in the prep phase, but it was done the same way. Mine is all on PT. Any suggestion? I'm thinking next I'm going to try and strip it, but not sure.

Matt, Nothing, just leave it there and be sure its "off". It won't hurt anything and someday yu might have a need for it. Or take it off and plug the hole.

My Honda Wont Start - Need Help Fast

Mike, Don't know abnout Honda engines, but Vangaurds there is anti-backfire option. Its a solenoid mounted in engine frame that controls fuel to the carb. If the solenoid is not workiing you will get what you have. Solenoid is controlled by the key switch -
On the 115 hot box, yes you can plug it into a wall outlet or a generator. You should be able to get a 5 gpm hot portable unit. Delco (board sponser) has 5gpm, 3000 psi, belt driven for about $4500, and I'm sure other do also.

"anyone else" seems to infer that South Florida Sealcoating is in Chicago.

Mike, Most SC run 15 or 25 degree tips. Make sure you size correctly for your machine. IF you are going to add a filter, I'd suggest before the swivel

Mike, Sounds like you have a clogged line. Take the gun off and see if you can blow air through the nozzles.

That "I was told..." sounds familar. I have a 7.3 F550 and was told the same thing. 11mpg when new...11mpg after 64K, I guess it needs more break in miles, hopefully 65k will be the magic number. Its for sale by the way.

Hugh, They are leaky in that the gun does not shut completly off. No leak at the input, rather at the nozzel. At least that was my case.
-
Greg, Can not help you with the overhaul. I tried a couple of different guns including an "acid resistant" one and they all failed within a days use. I switched to using a plastic ball valve, but then I only apply acid with a diaphram pump (85psi)

Talked to Aaladin today...2050#, $26,000 list price.. waiting to hear back from them on size...it's been 3 hours they were going to call right back with the demensions, from the pic I guess 4' X 5' X 5' Kory, Landa, Hydrotek, Pressure pro, etc. all make higher flow machines. What are you looking for? Hot/cold, gpm, psi, gas/diesel ? How does 20gpm @ 3000psi hot for $26K sound ? or 6gpm @ 10,000 psi for $40k or 14 gpm @ 4000psi for for $21k ? -

Alan, I do not have one but would be interested. Do you have any more info on this unit? There is no mention of it on there web site, and the dealer that I talked to that carries Aaladin knew nothing about it. Doug -
Rich, Welcome to TGS. give a call if you would like to talk. If you are interested a couple of us are going to the STL round table and we may have space if want to ride with us. BTW ,there is a signature rule here

Jim, It will be a matter of opinion. Like comparing cars. Most have 4 wheels and will get you from A to B. But are you comparing a Pontiac to a Buick ? Or are you comparing the old Yugo to Rolls ? You are right in that most have the same 3/4 brands of engines and pumps. But I think it does make a difference in how they are put together for ease of maintenance. They are all going to break, and if you are doing the maintenance choose whats best for you. I like to be able to change out a bad component without taking apart other items. I prefer flow switches over pressure switches, 115 vac burners over 12 vdc, unloaders that are mounted to a block and not on the pump head, etc. But that is all my preference and others like just the opposite. Water supply question
Doug T replied to Mountainaire's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
If your direct drive will not pull the water from the tank, get a water transfer pump and pump it. Of course youwill need a power source to drive the pump. BTW..National Pipe Thread, Hose Pipe Thread -
