  1. It does , thanks. how do you typically run 24 gpm. Do you cycle pumps back to tank, if you done need all that gpm, for a particular job
  2. Fullblast How did you do the three pumps, shaft and pillow block bearings? Or that motor has it own shaft extending on both ends of the engine?
  3. I thought about running the pump inside of a standard shop vac, but I could not find one that would keep the amp draw low as the Shop vac Bucket max. Plus you cant beat the $20 sticker
  4. Tony, I dont think it is recommended, run a float switch on it. I believe it can be run intermittently in low water conditions Which Lowes pump you discard every 6 months?
  5. engine exhaust preheater, and two good boilers. Hope you were able to get up on time this morning.
  6. Its spec sheet is linked in the post above yours Chris.
  7. Ron G no photos, just the video. Tony (that video was funny) its what I had available, did not want to purchase anything more than I had too, had the pump in the garage already, a used float switch form a retired basement pump, and plumbed with 3/4" pvc and check. The little vac has impressive numbers on paper, i choose it because of amp draw vs performance, convenience and price. http://waynepumps.com/images/pdf/Spec/TSC_Series.pdf Next build the pump would be upgraded.
  8. Older thread but,...as the wheel turns. Here is what I did with vacuum pickup and pumpout. The main objective (besides to have a cheap working system) was to keep the amps draw as low as possible to be powered by the pressure washer generator.
  9. I know we both would have preferred that number in cash, lol Coil design plays an important part of that btu #
  10. Kind of both, but more so on the heat rise, but it is important not to over pressurize, was running the numbers at 25gpm and 140 rise look like you are right at 2.2 million Btu's
  11. That would be the most expensive part of the setup, if you are going for heating 25gpm to a 140F rise, you would need at least 2 heaters 3/4" coil. BTU's I will have to calculate
  12. Jerry/John it looks like those 5000psi pumps are better pressure feed. Look at AR's competitor General pump equivailent, same half inch inlet , but notice the inlet requirements,...... minimum inlet pressure 30psi (these pump may not produce enough vacuum to be suction feed properly for "long term low cost" http://generalpump.com/pdfs/TSP1619-pump.pdf John to heat 25gpm to 200F,.... you talking major BTU's form one boiler, even more than Jim Gamble's combined 2.2 Million
  13. So true!! you can dial back 4000, if you needed to.
  14. Seems like my video have turned you into a "GPM" junky ...lol. I did what Guy mentioned, two 8gpm units (gasoline) and join them for vertical rinse or concrete rinsing only. never ran all of it in a surface cleaner, if I was to do that, it would be at least a 2 swivel surface cleaner, with 6 nozzles. I based my judgment on some nozzle science and experience here is some good reading Nozzle Trivia
  15. Pump quality

Thanks Russ, ...I guess it only thing, is first early pump oil change , @ 50 hrs
  16. Pump quality

Thanks Russ, the repair kit is probably more too? Do triplex pumps have a break in period with respect to the seals seating, and exposing the seal to the maximum rated pressure?
  17. Pump quality

Is there a difference in seal design between the two or the plunger diameter is just smaller, for the higher pressure rating?
  18. Pump quality

Russ whats your opinion on the SXW series?
  19. i dont see anything on their website, what is it?
  20. nastiest pavers to date

Great work Jon, just yesterday I was looking at a UK youtube channel that had some as bad as or in worse condition. What was your method of cleaning, vac SC, rotary nozzle?
  21. I looked it up. He uses Home | One Call Now (there is a special for sport leagues) There are a great deal of other companies offering this service (google "voice broadcasting"), this is a great marketing tool, call all your residential customers to let them know of sales and promotions.
  22. There are programmed services that allow you to form a group of phone numbers, leave a custom voice message (you can change at anytime); with the press of a few buttons on your phone, your voice message can be sent to all the phone # of the group simultaneously, you may edit the group as needed via an internet enabled phone. My sons soccer coach uses it to inform parents of team news/bulletins, cant remember its name now.
  23. Great q&a. Here is one option. If your potential customers do email, after you explain everything to them and they still have to make up their minds after you leave, (you present a two part printed template estimate sheet with the terms/conditions (you keep the original), with sig lines that says "I have recieced a no obligation FREE estimate and the bearer on this certificate may redeem such between mm/dd/yy to mm/dd/yy, if bearer redeems such, this document becomes a legal and binding work order contract and work will be schedule/commence after deposit is received) Then have them email you with a subject line "Agreed upon your estimate # and terms" the body should have the full address where services are to be provided with the Estimate # , Full Total $XXX , the check# of the deposit (or full amount if legally applicable), and how deposit payment will be delivered (mail/under a mat in zip bag etc). The prerogative is yours if to start/schedule the job without the check being cashed (this condition would have to be in the printed then signed sheet I talked of earlier)
  24. Whats the scoop on generators? Been looking at generators, and did not realize that there were so many different models and features today. The better ones have OHV and low oil shutdown (almost standard now), there is so much more beyond that to consider, Full pressure lubricated engines Lighted controls Power use indicators Idle control Noise ..... something that got me thinking that possibly caused the short lived life of my portable fluorescent worklight (not the bulbs the circuitry)........... "clean power" ........the power distortion from these gensets, can they prematurely kill burner motors? The generator speeding up and down caused by the changing engine rpm when the trigger is pulled and released. Is it worth while to install a power line filtering/cleaning device before plugging up my burner motor and other electrical devices? I have the old style (Wanco) Voltmaster AB25 on my hot water machine, which is brushless, I now see that they have a new and improved model AB30-Hydro (it is suppose to take care of the issue I mentioned above), wonder why Voltmaster moved from brushless to brushed for our application (pressure washing). Meanwhile Winco Inc always had a brushed gen 2FSM2PC-1 pw application, why? (The manufacturer names are close, "Wanco Inc" and "Winco Inc", whats up with that?) Was there an issue with the old model AB25 voltmasters? What is the AB25 life expectancy?
  25. Jerry, after observing the evolution of your brand and systems over the past few years, I have to say I am very impressed with the sirocco concepts, equipment and philosophy. Keep up the good work.
