Thanks Robert, I guess one of the least common/least advertised size is 5/8" coil,... I have seen quit a few 3/4" coil high flow machines today
-
I have heard most say 9 gpm ^ ;.... 3/4 coils and 1/2" hose. Robert, why does the industry use 1/2" coil as the base standard and not 3/8" in low flow heaters?
-
Its is a "tug of war" full body workout. The 1/2" hose may come in handy, if you ever need to go out more than 200 feet with 7 gpm and more, requiring pressure (at least 3000psi) at the gun.

Hey Chris, when I first joined two 4 gpm machines, i did not realize what i was missing with higher volume (for most some situations) -

Looking awesome. I have seen guys use that rear gate as a billboard. looked like you took some good advice on large inlet plumbing. Room to grow on that trailer, I like it. (drop on another 13hp and pump and you pushing 8 gpm, or 4 gpm with redundancy) -
Chris C do tell what mods have you done to the turbo twister?

Beautiful Doug T, I have been lazy to do my testing/video, but the 24" and 30" steel eagels were at a disadvantage with the 4.5 nozzles, the nozzles should really be 3.5 for better pressure at the sc. do the test over with the nozzles for the "alkota" surface cleaner, use the same nozzles in all the surface cleaners. could you imagine if you had over 150 ft of 3/8 hose, see what pressure you get there as well. I guess my theory with the spray turbulence under the pan was incorrect, did you suspend the surface cleaners off the ground for the test? or was the sc on the ground with sprays impacting concrete or other surface. I think the steel eagle surface cleaners have an advantage with no brush skirt, to much water is trapped under my mosmatic, it needs to evacuate faster

Here are the pollution marks I was talking about guys. Below are photos of a test done with F13 at about 3:1. (Water:F-13) great foaming had to let it dwell, and brush again This had been painted 2 years ago (Duron weather shield) Material, decorative foam Veneer stone wall above, no gutters above it. Edit 2 (04/25/11): Gutters on house only 4 years old, not much of an oxidation layer, .......but tiger stripes visible, (wipped clean with Envirospec Emulsifier Plus at 2 years old) F-13 worked great on gutters, on the same side of the house where these photos were taken, but it did not work nearly as quick on these pieces of trim. I have to also say that I experimented with Sunbrite Power House undiluted, it cleaned the gutters at the same ease as F-13 and also cut these streaks of faster than the above used dilution of F-13, almost 1/3 the time with less brushing. There is one more test I could not draw a full conclusion on, I had the same type of streaks on the bottom of a foyer window trim (White Plastic...PVC), I started using Power House undiluted and brushing the PVC while on the metal roof (came off but with more difficulty than the painted foam trim {had to apply more pressure to brush strokes...also white residue came of ...plastic oxidation layer}, I came off the roof and started rinsing, after first rinse, noticed I missed a spot {4 to 5 streaks} used the Power House but this time from the top of the ladder as the roof was wet and non textured, it was a pain to get it to the quality as the first cleaning. I wondered if for this type of surface and pollutants, the Power House had to get on the surface when it was dry to have better efficiency at its removal.{however for the gutter it did not matter if it was wet first of not, I tried it both ways} Seems like that type of surface and stain combination was at the upper cleaning capacity of Power House, and you have to let it get at the pollutants before anything else does. no bleach was used in testing. Hope this is helpful. Edit3(04/26/11): Opps! looked from the inside out at the foyer window, white marks, just above the stains where the brush overlaped onto the glass. Looks like it may come off with a wipe, will try various methods and report my findings.

What can you tell me about this pump?
810F250 replied to metcalfec's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
you will have to put a plug in the place of the thermal relief if you remove it. If the unloader is of the type that Jerry describes (the unloader is such that the bypass is part of it) then I second buying a stand alone unloader and plumb its bypass back to the tank Lock at the diagram in this link http://www.catpumps.com/select/pdfs/7670.pdf -
Thanks, I guess outdoor temps have a lot to do with too, drying off to fast.

Thad what effect does it have on glass?
-
What effects do you notice?..... just tested it this past weekend in a house wash mix including simple cherry and bleach (outdoor), seemed fine on the glass . (at double the recommended dosage) Had to polish a bank of glass windows one time on a sunroom because of the film I left,... OMG Why not

How long would this take you?

From the pics I cannot determine if I can get to those areas (dormer to roof intersection) well enough to get it clean with out a ladder. -

I think possibly 3 hours. I cant tell what condition all sides of the dormers are in the photo. Those may be the critical areas on this job. Did anyone think they may need to use a ladder to access where the dormer intersects the main roof? -

+1, Ron R Chris M you already have a down streamer setup on the unloader, (thats where the clear 1/4" hose goes from the gray cylinder (chemical filter) to the brass barb fitting in which it it connected), when you connect a high pressure hose to the outlet of the machine with the machine running and no gun the chemical filter if placed in a detergent bottle will pull chemical into the injector (if working properly) and mixed with the incoming water, it well pull chemical when the pressure down stream of it is less than a certain amount, like when you use the black soap tip (the opening in it is so big that the water cannot be pressurized in the pump. here is a diagram of the trapped pressure unloader: http://www.generalpump.com/PDFs/TECHNICAL%20DATA/UnloaderOperation.pdf here is a diagram of a typical unloader set up, but instead of putting the hose as you see in the diagram back to the inlet of the pump , you can put it back into your tank http://www.catpumps.com/select/pdfs/7670.pdf -

Crazy day for you guys, this is the crap i did. I ran my both TSF 2021's pumps without prime, full rpm and stood there wondering why I was not getting water. Dont know how long the seals will last now. -
"Wild Cherry" is the simple cherry mixed with F13 according to the directions sheet that came with the simple cherry. I have recently purchased F13 "gutter grenade", I mixed to twice the strength & brushed and still have trouble removing black streaks from above window trim and some gutters. Does anyone find that the streaks are more difficult to remove on houses/building near metro airports? Simple Cherry does rinse easily on glass, when i first purchased it a few weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised at its delivery time , poured concentrate on glass and let it to dry during my testing, all I had to do was pour warm water over glass and it was clean, no streaks. Wow!...., in comparison to what i have used before. I am currently testing the results of the simple cherry concentrate evaporation in a container, to see what type of residue is left in the container and how hard it is to remove. (Mind you I have not added any sodium hypochlorite (bleach) to any of the test solutions /gutter/window trim ) I have also put simple cherry concentrate on a small part of my asphalt driveway and it was the mildest of three house wash concentrates at removing the oils. Some other house wash mixes does leave a white residue on glass/driveway if dried and the residue is not removed by applying more detergent, or heat , but the white residue forming house wash soaps remove asphalt driveway oil better along with gutter black streaks when concententrated and in some cases when diluted.

SLT's and the SLX's are nice machines. OFF TOPIC: I have subscribed to GSprunk channel a while now, funny how they have removed my comments/questions on two of their youtube videos including this one. -

Here is some visual, the 1/4" plugs on the gun outlet and the nozzles seems to have much less wear -

Russ J , have you heard or seen a 1/4 or 3/8 QC blow out?,......... I just changed all yesterday as the plug grooves looked battered, 8 @ 3600 is quite a bit of force. -
