  1. I bought the videos from Delco 2 years ago and was very disappointed. They are very boring and poorly done. I would recommend you try to attend the PWNA conference and take the classes that interest you. If you can’t make the conference try to contact someone outside your area and see if you can work with them for a couple days for free. Good Luck

  2. Extend-A-Wand - Buyer Beware

Has anyone ever tried to deal with Extend-A-Wand on a warranty issue?

Last year I bought both the 18’ and 24’ extend-a-wand. I use them all the time to wash houses and also on some second story decks. The 18’ Extend-A-Wand has not locking in place properly since the day I bought it. It is the center extension that will not stay locked in place, it collapses when the pressure is on and the wand is lifted to wash a house.

The dealer who sold the wand to me has replaced the locking pins and has contacted Extend-A-Wand several times to get this resolved. They have said they will send some replacements parts (inner tube) but it has been one year and the problem has not been resolved.

Has anyone else encountered the same problems I am having?

This is not how I run my business and is certainly not acceptable from a manufacturer of power washing equipment.

  3. Last year I bought a scale to weight HD-80 and Oxcilic acid. I carefully weighted 8 ounces of each as well as several other dry chemicals. To my surprise all the dry chemicals weighed ended up being 1 Cup. I returned the scale and now use a measuring cup.

  4. Ronnie,

Last year I bought the 24 foot extend-a-wand as it could reach the highest point of most homes. My distributer advised me yo buy the 18 foot wand as it is much lighter. After 2 weeks of using the 24 foot wand I bought the 18 foot wand as well. I use both of them all the time. If I only need 18 feet I uses the smaller one but there are many time the 24 foter is needed.

    Good Luck

  5. The pricing mentioned above is what I use in New Jersey. A house and deck cleaning of property you described (assume 2 story) would take approximately 3 hours. A price of $300 to $400 would be a good ballpark number. Don’t count on getting $800 for 3 hours of work.
