spiker2005 replied to spiker2005's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Ok I started to pick up what you were lying down. I will by some simply cherry for house washing, but what is 12 %, and can I buy it from the same place I buy the simply cherry. I will be honest with you I clean houses I use the extention rods and a rotary tip the dirt and mold comes off fast with the heat. But if I can use the simply cherry with 12% and the heat without using the extention rods, it also being faster so be it. -

Ok I have the wrong chemical Iam using through the x jet. As far as the x jet itself I thought they were universial ( orfice what orfice) I know this sound stupid but I know you need to match orfice with nozzles but with the x jet I didnt know that. Also I believe my gpm is 4.0 and psi supposed to be 4000 but I been looking at the gage it reads about 3600. Also where do I buy the house wax -
I have be using cold water pressure washer for 4 years just bought my first hot water rig from northern tool last month I love it. The hot water really made the difference, but I have talked to some power washers in the area, like in Jersey at the round table they had in March. These powerwashers do not use extention rods to get up on 2 story houses, they use chemical and the xjet to get the house clean. I have what I thought the best xjet out there but it seems not to shoot that high. Maybe I am doing something wrong, I dont know. Maybe Iam using the wrong chemical. I use pro blend envirospec said it would be good on house cleaning along with truck cleaning. The x jet will not reach at least from the ground all the way to the top on the 2 story house. I would like some feed back from the members here. Also Iam looking to find out where to buy house wax to put on houses. Those guys from Jersey say they house wax along with pressure washing. thanks Ken

I have read various answer to the question Iam ready to ask. Can some one help me Please? Iam with service magic and Iam getting tons of calls for pressure washing and sealing a deck. What I have been doing is measure sqft. of floor then handrails, size of steps width and height. For all this I am charging $1.00 a sqft. plus material. I gave 3 bids out and all three said it was too high. I must be doing something wrong! I dont know. Can the members of this site help me out please. Iam going out of my mind. My silent partner is my father and we fight all the time on how much Iam charging. Also if I dont charge per sqft. I charge per hour $40.00 and hour plus material. Am I wrong or what please help me.

cold weather gutters streaks
spiker2005 replied to DustinC's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Now dont laugh at what I am about to tell you. Try awesome it is the best gutter cleaner I have ever used. The kicker is you get it at the dollar store ( yes for one dollar) for 20oz. I have use Zep gutter cleaner forever not anymore awesome all the way. Do not delute it spray it straight on but wash off in about 10 seconds very strong. One of them as seen on tv products that clean 100 different things. Try it ( Works great for me) -
I started running in the yellow pages last year first issue came out in June really never got a call. So I called the rep and said cancel that was in August, she said the ad was not out long just see what happens, we will talk later in the year. About end of August early Sept. started getting calls and Iam getting some now ( Too cold ). Iam curious to see what it is going to do in the spring since that really is when pressure washing takes off. So I recommend try it for the first year and see what happens. I do alot of bulk mailing they do real good for me. I had a full color postcard made up and order a mailing list, but you have to get bulk mailing permit ( cost less for each postcard about $.24 cents each vs. $.39)

Iam currently filling out paperwork to be on the vendor list for cumberland farms stores in Delaware. The maintenance manager called me today and fax me the paperwork today. He said my company sounds good and he wants to use me. This is my first chain of stores, I' am really happy, after all the talking and faxing of all the information about my company it finally came through. It just proves never give up. I owe alot of it to this network by reading asking question. Thank you. I do have a question though ( Ha Ha). On the application it all seems easy enough, but one question ask about travel rate per mile. I really don't know what to put, I always thought it was $.10 a mile but a couple of friends of mine said the going rate is $.45-$.48 cents a mile. I did a search on this, but the discussions were about deductions on taxes per mile. Is this the same or not?

Just a little information
spiker2005 replied to spiker2005's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I will thank you. I asked about fleet washing, but I asked about washing 4-8 trucks or vans. The answer I got was $15.00 - $25.00 each. Since it was a small amount being washed. Also that was just to wash the outside no thrills. Anything else was extra like interior cleaning, windows, chrome. -
I have contacted some of the contractors here from the Network to ask questions that I could not really fine on the past forums. I just wanted to say thank you for all your help. When I say I contacted them I just called them out of the blue. Of course I introduce myself, but the people I contacted were great. They gave me advice, and took time to listen to my questions. I just wanted to say thank you, and I think this network is the best. Also I wanted to mention something that I found to clean gutters. It is very inexpensive and works great. It is called awesome, it has been on them commericals on tv (As seen on Tv) It is one of them products that clean 100 different things. The kicker about it you buy a 20 oz. bottle for $1.00 at the Dollar store. I know it sounds crazy but its true it is fantastic. I used Zip gutter cleaner for years not anymore, nothing but awesome. Every commercial job and resident job that I have done with everyone is so impressed. They can't believe how good it works. I just wanted to share that we everyone.
