  4. Nuff Said

Another good day. Tipped $50 for this job. Homeowner has had his house washed every year for the past 4 years by 4 different people and tried me this year. He was so thrilled, said his house was never this clean. 2 hours, 2000 ft2 colonial, 10x12 deck, gutter scrub. Looked brand new. I am goint back next week to do 250 linear feet of fence. 3 gallons 12%, 2 gallons h20, 2 scoops of the miracle simple cherry, 1/2 cup cascade, downstreamed and bam.

Will do!!! I love downstreaming and I love having great soap that works. Without the those two tools, this would actually be hard work.
  6. Nuff Said

  7. Stolen gas

Moth balls!! Or wait in the tree and shoot bottle rockets at them while they are pouring.
  8. Suggestions on which HOT PW to purchase

I love my Mit M, better priced than most. Have only had it one season but for half of what a hotsy costs, I am very happy. the important thing I would guess is a good pump, good burner and good engine. the rest is a cage and some hoses.
  9. How long till the US gets into the fray....

All of isreals weapons for the most part are made by ratheon. the seize fire is suppose to take effect tomorrow, once that does, you can bet our troops will be there to keep the peace.
  10. Can you say SSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWW!

FYI, I have spent 7% of my gross on advertising and that includes buisness cards, truck magnets, signs, papers, mailing, yellow pages, flyers, parade programs, etc.
  11. Can you say SSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWW!

July was slow for me as well. the first 3 weeks were dead. The last week picked up just before I left for a vacation and my grandfather was dying of parkinsons. I didn't get to return a bunch of calls because I was trying to spend time wiht him. but since, the calls keep coming in. Yellow pages have only gotten me one call and one job, a local once a week paper gets me a fair amount of calls, yard signs a few calls. Direct mailings have been the best so far with a good return. And in the last 2 weeks or so, referrals have been the best source. I have been getting very pleased customers who are referring me and thats the best. Those people are not going to shop around if their friend or family was pleased. the one thing I have learned which is probably common sense is don't put all your advertising in one basket. You need to get your name in front of people from differnt avenues. If someone sees your name 3 different ways it shows them you have success to afford the advertising and that people are using your service. Not to mention, some people don't look in the yellow pages, some don't get the newspaper and so on. I just sent out target area mailings using a jumbo post card that I will post in the other thread and on average each area costs about $30 to blanket. I will follow up with a yard sign or two in the area to help them remember who I am. For being dead in july, I am now booked 8 days out at 3 days of work a week as this is all I have time for. and if I wanted to low ball I could get 5 days a week. I picked up guerrilla marketing, so far great book. great advice.
  12. It's not that dirty

Don't knock bleach white for tires. Don't need to be white walls. I use it on my tires and it makes the letters bright white again. Just spray before I wash the truck.
  13. Unreal

looks great, what mix for such perfection
  14. Oh Boy

I will 41 for my Taryn and 44 for madeline. I lucky to be a young dad.
  15. I use the walmart brand powder and add 1 cup per 5 gallon. Helps with cling and I noticed a great improvement with windows. I think I will try the liquid though so I don't ahve mix as much.
  16. Oh Boy

Good for you Jeff. I have a 3 year old and 7 month old, both princessess. The only true love is the love between a parent and thier child - enjoy it.
  17. Homebrew

I spent a few extra bucks for stainless quick connects and swivels and have no problems. Well worth it. What you save in time and chems is far more then paying a bit here and there for fittings.
  18. cool link for house prices

Check out www.virtualearth.com dosn't give values or what not but gives a real good picture of the house.
  19. Homebrew

Mike, good idea for rinsing the downstreamer, never thought of that. I have a downstreamer from bob that works great along with his shooter tips. I had a home yesterday, the peak was 40 feet high and nasty, downstreamed the citrus cleaner and 12% and the house looked amazing. I never could have that done with the x jet. I also have the same peak on a similar house next door to that one simple cherry and it came out just as great. An extra minute or two of dwell, but looked awesome.
  20. Liabilty release

You can also do a google search for liabilty forms and there are many sites out there that sell them for about $10.

  22. Liabilty release

If there is a huge risk, it may be worth paying an attorney $100 bucks or so to type it up. I also know that staples has tons of legal forms on disc that serve as templates in which you enter your information. I am not sure if they will have what you are looking for but it's worth trying.
  23. Need help removing old floor epoxy.

Why is the epoxy coming off. If it needs to be epoxied again, I blieve you wash off the flaking bad spots to get a smooth floor and reapply.
  24. Yup, A customer called last week and told me that his cieling had water spots and the water dripped thru onto a peice of furntiure and also had some damage. He claims it came in thru the soffit vents. I went to check it out and the water damage in the house is directly in line with soffit vent. I am always so carefull when applying chems and rinsing the soffits, I use no more than a fine mist. But apparently I got a little crazy with the water this time. the cieling isn't bad. Two areas about the size of slice of bread. the piece of furniture needs to be sanded on top and a new top coat applied. Both things I can do myself. I plan on doing it myself. The furniture is no problem for me. I can do this and make it look fine. The cieling is what worries me. I know plaster dries out fine and will be structually sound therefore only needing paint. I am hoping he has some exisiting paint left over so I can just match it rather than paint his whole cieling. I know this sound like a simple fix, but it is my first. Does anyone ahve any advise for me on this. How to handle it, what to do, paperwork involved, etc. Thanks, Mike
  25. Water damage inside - Oh No

The cieling is platered drywall with white paint over it.
