1. Granite Counter Tops

Good points Celeste, I will be contacting them soon. I was just outside with Bawston for 30 minutes. He is having a sumissive urination problem. Whenever he sees me or hears me upset, he lies on his back and pees on himself. I have been reading that he sees me at the alpha male and strongly feels the need to be submissive whenever he sees me again or when we do our trainings. Completely house broken, just pees when he sees me. Hope that gets better. Thanks agian for the info.
2. Granite Counter Tops

Celeste, this seems pretty amazing. for the exterior you could go over any concrete or solid surface. Thats pretty cool. I will do some more research on it for sure, something I think could do very well in my area. What is the longevity on these products? Can they take abuse such as shoveling and high traffic? Thanks.
3. Granite Counter Tops

Celeste, Very intersting. Is there a market for such a counter top finish in your area/ How extensive is the training? Is it a difficult procedure to do? Is it safe for exterior? Thanks.
4. Granite Counter Tops

Celeste, looks great. This is done over concrete tops already installed? everyone else, thanks for the advise. I am going this week to start looking. It is hard to find a wholesaler in this area but will keep looking. Any other advise would be great. Thanks.
5. Granite Counter Tops

Very nice Jarrod. Undermount sink is a must. I agree, get something with character. I love granite but so many people have the same style with little variation. I want my kitchen to be unique.
6. Granite Counter Tops

Scott, Thanks for the advise. I plan on looking for remnants for 3 smaller bathroom vanities. Celeste, Very interesting. Would love a winter gig. I have not heard of Pure Texture, is this something you do as well. BTW. Bawston has gained 1/2 pound since I took him home and is doing great. His training is coming along fast, listens well, so well mannered and good with the kids. He has made his way at home very nicely.
7. New Years Resolutions.

Want to lose wieght but am not going to hard core diet because it never works. Resolve to do 3-4 days a week - 30 minute cardio jog or elipitical fried food on friday and saturday only no food after 8 pm.

I have napster now and I HATE it. I need to switch. Do you recommend the limewire pro for the small fee or just the free version? Thanks

Celeste, I thought you were taking the rest of the year off? HA Ha
14. Last post of the year!!!!!!

Happy Holidays Celeste and to your family. Bawston says the same.
15. Suv Or Truck

Crew Cab pick up truck. My titan has plenty of room for the family and no problem pulling a trailer.
16. Good glove store?

Check out scuba diving gloves. They are usually neoprene and made for warmth. May be pricy but worth it.
17. Gothrop Puppy update.

Celeste, I got the hint. J/K. Been meaning to post pics but things have been hectic. Bawston is doing real well. Adjusted great after a day or two. Has his second vet visit tomorrow for more shots. Very healthy dog. Already knows his name, walks great on a leash, loves his crate and does well in it. Doing very good with house training, a few accidents here and there but only usually 1 per day at most and asks to go out. Plays rough with me only and is very gentle with the girls. Very nice addition to the family.
18. What did you do before becoming a Pw'er?

Graduated high school and went on to the Univeristy of RI for engineering after turning down a scholarship for engineering at Hawaii Pacific University due to a fear of leaving home - I have since gotten over that. Spent 4 years in high school taking eery calculus course, physics class and auto cad class they offered. Attended URI for one simester before realizing I did NOT want to be an engineer despite my capabilitie to breeze thru the program. Realized I wanted to be a firefighter and held a few jobs while testing to get on the job. Went to school for my EMT Cardiac license with ACLS, BTLS, PALS. Obtain FF 1001 level 1 and 2. Took several certifation classes in other things such as rope rescue, hazmat, ice rescue, scuba etc. Got hired a full time firefighter at 21. Built some furniture for a few years to supplement income before getting into Pwer washing. My next goal is real estate which I am currently working on. Just need to find 500k somewhere to get started. I am also working towards a nursing degree for the heck of it.
19. Mortgage pay down

Jeff, Bill's advise is probably the best. Pay someone a small fee to advise you in the best possible financial future. I did the same and this is what I based my advise on but then again, that fits my situation. I also have a 529 college fund account for each daughter with UESP - Utah Education Saving Plan. I live in Rhode Island but Utah's program is probably the best as far as fees and investment options go. Everytime my daugthers get money for anything, it goes into a savings account and every 3 months I send a check to UESP. When they are older they will get to play with it a bit. My wife and I also contribute every quater and investing now while they are young will make all the difference. Saving when they are teenages is almost pointless.
20. Mortgage pay down

Jeff, An emergency account is great, but don't let it get bigger than 6 months worth of bills. Throw that in a money market which will earn you about 3% and is readily available. The rest you be putting in IRA's or a 401k. Paying down your house is great, but if you are saving say $50 grand by doing so but the money used to save 50 grand could net you 100 grand by investing, thats the way to go. I would love to pay my house off and could throw an extra 800 per month on it but instead my wife an I invest that into a defferred investment. I could have my mortgage paid off in 15 years but would have nothing saved for the future. Just my 2 cents
21. in 20 years

In 20 years I will be 47 and retired for 6 years already. With my pension I am working towards plus my weekly investments between my wife and myself, we should be set. Our house will be paid off and ready to live. I agree with Jeff, don't wait til your 40 to do something, do it now if you can. When I retire, I plan on traveling more than the 3 times per year I do now and be a member at a country club where I am hopefully the youngest one there. I will be watching my girls go through college making me proud and watching them trun into amazing adults. Grandchildren better not be for 30 more years.
22. Mortgage pay down

I would just pay as much extra as you can now and if rates drop 1 percentage point or better, then consider refinancing. If you can pay an extra 300 per month now and pay it off in around 20 years, your current 30 year mortgage is a good as a 20 year with the benefit that if times get tough, you can save 300 per month.
23. Daily Motivation

Hard work pays off in the future but laziness pays off NOW! I'm gonna go take a nap.
24. Mortgage pay down

I almost forgot. This calculator will not show you how much sooner you can pay it off. But lets say that adding 100 bucks per month to your principal will save you $45,000. Take that $45,000 and divide it by your montly payment now to give you a rough idea of how many months you drop.
25. Mortgage pay down

http://www.stocktonturner.com/calcs/MortgagePayoff.html This calculator is great. Type in your interest rate and how much extra you want to put on your principal and it will tell you how much you will save. Keep in mind that if you want to refinance to save money, the interest rate change needs to be signifigant enought to save more money that what you accrue in new closing costs.
