Hey Ken, Woodrich questions
Dan Stapleton replied to Dan Stapleton's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Thanks for the info Ken. The wood is plenty dry. I'm waiting on the Woodrich. I'm going to cut in the edges and pad the rest, it's only 300 sq. ft. -

I agree. I don't think I contradicted that. -
Faith vs. Fact (Creation vs. Evolution)
Dan Stapleton replied to John T's question in The Club House
True repentance comes when we love God for who He is and what He has done. Like you, Mike, I fail all of the time and struggle daily with the" old man ". or sin nature. Our sin has been paid in full. Past, present, future. Our faith in Jesus' finished work is what saves us, rejection of Jesus deems us lost. Read my post again and think about it. Believe me, Mike, I understand conviction and repentance, I am in no way undermining their importance. -
Faith vs. Fact (Creation vs. Evolution)

I agree with Phillip here. Jesus Christ made the atonement for all sin. If God were to punish our sins again he would be saying that Jesus' sacrifice was'nt enough. People go to hell for rejecting Christ. -
Ron M's great caustic debate - split from another thread
Dan Stapleton replied to Ron Musgraves's topic in Chemicals & Safety
Most of you contractors don't understand PH? Come on, man. I'm RON ********** leading the industry for 24 yrs. Don't you know how bad that sounds. Not to mention that you are WRONG. -

Yeah, so weak, I know. I regret it. I spent a lot of time arguing my beliefs with an unbelieving friend that is an intellectual. I have since learned to stay out of these arguments and let the only one (Jesus) capable of getting through do his job. -

Power House
Dan Stapleton replied to A and J POWERWASHING's question in Residential Pressure Washing
If you are mixing 50 gallons at a time realize that the powerhouse and bleach will be fighting each other and weakening. It's better to mix bleach with butyl cleaners one batch at a time. -

That's my plan. I'll eat the shipping to help a fellow PW out. -
Spraying and Backbrushing
Dan Stapleton replied to Dan Stapleton's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Thats what I figured Ken. I'm prepared to set it down and do it by hand if the pump-up does'nt function. I considered buying a Wagner Fine Coat but I really don't know when my next deck will be. If I start getting more deck work I will procure the proper tools, for sure. -
Spraying and Backbrushing
Dan Stapleton replied to Dan Stapleton's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Thanks guys. I've cleaned plenty of wood over the years and just decided to add wood restoration. I'm doing my first deck with ESI's Woodrich. It's PT Pine, pretty old. I plan on spraying(Pump-up and splash board.....we'll see) and back brushing (Pad). I've studied the subject here for about a year but until I do it I'm a little apprehensive. It's a simple little deck, 300 sq. ft. no rails. There was some Thompson's gold something rather on it and was a b***h to strip. I'll post the results soon. Thanks again. -
First off, where at that price? I've heard good things about them. I know of people who have switched to them and have had no problems. Let us know.

Kurt, You could probably answer the installation question better then anyone. My Bro used to live in Ormond by the Sea. I've spent a little time in Flagler. Nice area.

If you want to possibly avoid the ladder route go down in nozzle size to increase pressure. Like 0060 or even stronger depending upon your experience and confidence. Angles help too. Spray em with wasp spray before you hook up. Housewash with Chlorine works though.

Does anybody know of any sites for chemical formulas and raw products for powdered soap and degreasers (Not the Chemistry Store) Instructions for mixing, ratios, product etc?
-

Dan Stapleton replied to Keth's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Mike, try a 2540 for soaping. wave it back and forth a little to foam and agitate the surface. Plus you can reach up pretty high with it. -
Exactly.

I could see using an airless. -
A little a this a little a that....BOOM! Other than basic mixtures that I already do, I would want to have a good guideline. It's been hard to find one.

Keth, Because at least for me A 2540 and a 2510 are what I use the majority of time.(single story) If you have high and low soap on one nozzle, you always have to change to rinse and don't use the 0030 very often. I actually usually carry 4-5 tips but I do have a rollover.
