When asked if we recover water, my answer is "First we hose you, then we suck you dry"
-
I use the bed for small easy to handle items such as ext. poles, surface cleaners, cones, & chem jugs. Trailer has the standard machine, tanks and reels, plus the vacuum system, 100 feet of vac hose 200 feet of supply hose and 250 feet of pressure hose. If I had to, I can cram it all on the trailer, but I would be over my weight limit real fast, and look like Sanford & Son as well.

You gotta spend money to make money. Buy the thing and get it done. Do you have a worker who can keep the machine at home and roll to residential jobs from there? What about a bigger trailer, to fit another machine?

I just made an enemy, and for some reason don't feel bad

As a favor to your daughters friends step dad, a realtor who can help you get more work, and some people who got hosed and now have a bitter taste for pw's, maybe you can sharpen the pencil on a price that makes you money and makes the neighborhood look nice. Do it as a PR thing. How many jobs have you done in your neighborhood? Is their potential for more when people see you actually working? -

TSf 2021 on a 20hp honda
One Tough Pressure replied to Kory's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
What are the rating on that pump? I think it is 8 at 3000. Anyway, I have a 20 hp and changed over to an AR XW30.25, which is 8 at 3600. I get 8 at just under 3000, but I did disconnect the skid generator, and use my larger one instead. I also use 1/2" hose. I tried to run the skid generator and just got lots of white smoke from lack of power to keep the burner supplied. -

psi flat surface washer

If it is a hover type, it may take more force to control, but should be fine. Depends on what brand and model it is. -
surface cleaners / which one?
One Tough Pressure replied to rj242's question in Residential Pressure Washing
What breaks so often? I have had mine for 5 years and it gets used on a very regular basis with no issues other than replacing tips and the swivel which is normal for usage. I just now need to replace the front castor and that is due to my lateral cleaning that I do with it. -

steel eagle problem
One Tough Pressure replied to mas3372's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Unless you have really small tips, then I would not worry about an inline filter. I only mentioned it so it would not get overlooked. Either way you would be unclogging something. I haven't used on in a long time and do not have any problems. -

I have been told it is best to replace them. I have a handful of K-7's laying around should I ever want to repair one. -

steel eagle problem
One Tough Pressure replied to mas3372's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Clogged tips or a clogged inline filter sound to be the culprit. Strange that the arms spin with no water. Take out the tips for cleaning, run the unit with no tips to check for water flow and to perform flushing, clean inline filter if equipped, then reassemble. Problem should be gone -
surface cleaners / which one?

I ought to ban you for remarks like that. Steel eagle rocks hands down. Yes their bar is easier to bend than the whispers, but it is made to bend before the union gets damaged. I have hit a few things and only knocked it out of adjustment. Other than an occasional adjustment of the bars and a lube of the union, what other maintenance do you feel is needed? -

I can't give movie titles or it will be obvious. I can add ABC, AIDA, and the word DOTTED. If someone has initials of AB, CG or MB do not be so quick to give it away. -

One Tough Pressure replied to Jarrod's question in The Club House
Reminds me of a movie scene, "I used to be a salesmen, tough market out there" as he mocks taking sips at the bar. sales and washing are one in the same, you get out what you put in. Anyone know what I am referring to? -

Wanna cut your time in half without sacrificing quality?
One Tough Pressure replied to Jarrod's question in The Club House
Yes it is worth it if they plan to stick with this, but many are just washing for extra cash until something better comes along. so investing more is not always on their mind. Short term or long term, investing in the right equipment and seeking the right knowledge is very beneficial. You just need to convince them of that. -

It can't be done if the people are not equipped with the proper tools for the job, and that is a large majority.
