  2. flame shot out of exhaust

Sounds like you will be putting in some new insulation in the near future.
  3. flame shot out of exhaust

http://forums.thegrimescene.com/showthread.php?t=4374&highlight=pump Check fuel pressure. May need to be adjusted, or may be a bad pump.
  4. Hot water and Generator won't work on my skid

Some units like Landa have a standard plug that goes into the generator. My All American was harwired in, so it took a little rewiring.
  5. leaf blowers

Gas has more power as well. Did you actually measure the oil, or did you guess and glug glug it? Not enough oil will burn a unit up real fast.

  7. Equipment

Say Jim, it took you nearly 2 years to figure that out. Had you owned an All American you would have known right away.
  8. quick connects question

They are of the same type right? Any pictures? There are a few varieties of items out there and many are not compatible with each other.
  9. Worker dies in PW related accident

That story is here in post #14 http://forums.thegrimescene.com/showthread.php?t=1887&highlight=toledo
  10. Electric Power Washer

Dave and his 45,000 watt generator. I call that slightly larger than huge. Maybe giganticalenormorous would be a better name.
  11. No more 4 cylinders for me!!

You couldn't pay me to drive a chevy.
  12. Large Hot Washers

Who makes the biggest and baddest hot washers? Steel Eagle has a all in one washer/vac combo that is powered by a 50 hp diesel. Drawbacks are that it is only 5.5 gpm and it needs a seperate hotbox. Price is in the high 20's. I know Dave Olsen made a awesome 10@3000 kubota powered unit. Who else has an outrageous machine that just cleans like the dickens?
  13. Beware of buying from Ultimate Washers

You should of bought a Steel Eagle.
  14. Pressure Pro problem

What a happy ending. I recall a story like that a few years back with All American when they were owned by Aries Equipment in LA. Jon Fleisher had a skid problem and called Aries to complain. They said bring it down and we will take care of it right away. When he pulled in, he had no idea that they were going to pull his skid off the trailer and replace with a brand new unit.
  15. oil stains

Klenztone works very well in most cases. I have used quite a bit and it has only failed me a couple times. I did not go with their up to 1 hour dwell time, so maybe it is my fault. It is an acid, so treat it as such. Be prepared to do the whole area as it will brighten the surface.
  16. Money

Verily I say unto ye.......... Money It can buy a house But not a home It can buy a clock But not time It can buy you a position But not respect It can buy you a bed But not sleep It can buy you a book But not knowledge It can buy you medicine But not health It can buy you blood But not life So you see money isn't everything And it often causes pain and suffering I tell you this because I am your friend And as your friend I want to Take away your pain and suffering!! So Send me all your money And I will suffer for you! Cash only please! After all, what are friends for, huh??
  17. oil stains

Removing the oil is not the problem, it is the shadow that it leaves behind. I use sodium hydroxide and get good results. I add some sodium metasilicate w/butyl for tougher problems.
  18. Pressure Pro problem

Thats funny, because when we hear "We went with the low bidder, he does good work, at a great price" We get all upset. Glad you got this resolved, but what a bunch of hype to have them do what they should have done all along.
  19. I need a new leafblower - recommendations?

Echo gets my vote. I use the PB 650. Little heavier than most, but has a large engine that gets the job done fast.
  20. No Tie?

That's hilarious, how about this one. A good looking man walked into an agent's office in Hollywood and said "I want to be a movie star." Tall, handsome and with experience on Broadway, he had the right credentials. The agent asked, "What's your name?" The guy said, "My name is Penis van Lesbian." The agent said, "Sir, I hate to tell you, but in order to get into Hollywood , you are going to have to change your name." "I will NOT change my name! The van Lesbian name is centuries old, I will not disrespect my grandfather by changing my name. Not ever." The agent said, "Sir, I have worked in Hollywood for years... you will NEVER go far in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian! I'm telling you, You will HAVE TO change your name or I will not be able to represent you." "So be it! I guess we will not do business together" the guy said and he left the agent's office. FIVE YEARS LATER..... The agent opens an envelope sent to his office. Inside the envelope is a letter and a check for $50,000. The agent is awe-struck, who would possibly send him $50,000? He reads the letter enclosed... "Dear Sir, Five years ago, I came into your office wanting to become an actor in Hollywood , you told me I needed to change my name. Determined to make it with my God-given birth name, I refused. You told me I would never make it in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian. After I left your office, I thought about what you said. I decided you were right. I had to change my name. I had too much pride to return to your office, so I signed with another agent. I would never have made it without changing my name, so the enclosed check is a token of my appreciation. Thank you for your advice.. Sincerely, **** Van ****
  21. Pressure Pro problem

If you back off the flow of fuel, it would seem like that reduces pressure as well. My guess is that you do not have enough pressure for the size of fuel nozzle that you are running and it is dribbling in the bottom and then leaking out. I suggest you find a mechanic who can just fix it, and not need to speak with the machine builder. That is the whole point of a mechanic in my book. Just because all these companies use the same parts, doesn't mean you get the same product. Assembly has alot to do with it as well.
  22. Powr Flite Vacs

Power flite has some good deals, but I have been told they sell factory seconds. For around the house, that probably would not matter much, but is something to consider. The Nikro is a hardcore vac that can take a serious beating. I have put a few into service and they all do well. Whatever vac you decide on, try to get one that takes a filter that is readily available. Shop Vac makes a good.variety of filters now.
  23. Hmmm...

With all the different work he does and pw only a small part of it all, then the numbers mean nothing to us. Those numbers for sure include one time people as well as ongoing. It is still funny to see how fast they multiply.
  24. P-Diddy the new James Bond?

Casting a white person for that role in The Color Purple would cause a riot.
  25. Rust removal video

I was referring to the color of the stuff in the bottle. Looks like Muriatic.
