  1. Rust removal video

    Why is your Ox yellow?
  2. Anyone have experience with Reinell Boats?

They say the two best days for a boat owner is the day he buys it and the day he sells it. Looks like a nice boat, other than that, "I knows nuthing"
  3. Hmmm...

They were cleaning lambswool dusters not feather. Big difference, and a swiffer will not take its place. Lambswool holds the dust while feathers spread it around.
  4. Large Hot Washers

I run an 8 gpm pump thru a burner that was made for 5 gpm. I am not sure of the exact BTU, but recall it being around 450,000. I have made no adjustments to the burner to increase heat, and it gets plenty hot even with the thermostat set at 160°-180°. Steam clouds roll everywhere and if I crank it all the way up, I can't even see. If that is what I get from Diesel, then propane must get really hot.
  5. Large Hot Washers

I am not sold on those propane burners as I have no place to readily get propane except during day time. I would have to have a very big tank to make it work. I like the diesel power that they use and feel there is plenty of power vs the air cooled that is on most and working so hard.
  6. I am considering a switch to an enclosed trailer. It would have to be very durable and be ready for major abuse. I will probably want to go with roll up doors vs ramps or barn doors. Tandem Axles rated for 6000 each, brakes on both. and many more. I looked at the site s for; Pace America Haulmark Wells Cargo Road Force Whop are some more of the major players?
  7. Who makes the most durable enclosed trailer?

John, I sent you an email with an alternative email from the other. Lets see if that gets it here. Spam folder is empty, so I have no clue what is happening.
  8. Who makes the most durable enclosed trailer?

Thats funny because the Cadillac Cimmaron was a Chevy Cavalier and they just switched name tags, changed tail lights and charged more. They were both crappy cars. For convenience, maybe I should just run my open trailer until the wheels fall off. The enclosed would be real nice, but their is so much to figure and I am just overwhelmed thinking about it.
  9. Who makes the most durable enclosed trailer?

John, Yes, I did draw up the layout and measured everything I had. It is a case of what is best where, tongue weight, easy access, and so on. Just not sure and everyone seems to have their own way that they like it. Most put the tanks over the axles, but Delco had a trailer with 2-525 tanks that were in the front and all equipment on the sides, where you could walk up the middle almost end to end. No, I never did get your email. Did you send it thru the bbs or to info@preferredpressure.com
  10. Who makes the most durable enclosed trailer?

When you mentioned Universal, I thought of these guys. http://universaltrailer.net/ If Exiss is part of the Haulmark family, then I guess if I got one from them it would be the same as getting a Haulmark. I am waiting on some equipment specs in order to figure out what size trailer I will need. I figure either a 16 or 18, but just not sure and even more unsure of how to lay it out for weight and function all while having access to everything for use and service. Decisions, decisions.
  11. Who makes the most durable enclosed trailer?

That is what I am trying to figure out. I want everything I own for PW in there, a rolling shop of sorts. I am playing around on paper to see how it all fits best and keep getting lost. My driveway is 22 ft, so if I want to drop it at home, and I will, then it needs to fit there. Their is a City Ordinance of unattached trailers on the street. Not sure what the tongue length is on most trailers. My factory All American trailer has a 5 foot tongue. I have seen many enclosed trailers with no room to even open the tailgate of the truck. 18foot on the trailer and a 4 foot tongue would suit me well I suppose, but I need to figure out how to arrange it all for both weight and easy access.
  12. Large Hot Washers

No email yet John. Tom, What makes the Silver Eagle hard to work on?
  13. How much liability insurance do you carry?

And thats what leads me to $1,000,000-$2,000,000 aggregate. I also carry an umbrella policy for $1,000,000. It works for now.
  14. New PW forum???

I just registered for sheets and giggles. The owner is Randall Madon PWG Owner/Administrator http://www.the-power-washer-advisor.com Randall.Madon@Gmail.com but who is that? Anyone ever heard of him?
  15. Large Hot Washers

    done, Thank you
  16. Insurance Headaches

I have not had any issues with them. They always answer the phone, answer my questions and get my additional insureds out real fast. Much better than my last company.
  17. Large Hot Washers

John, What are the dimensions of that 48 hp? I really think I can squeeze it in my skid, but need to know for sure.
  18. Portable Light Cart

Does anybody have a picture of a nice portable light cart? I have halogen floods on the trailer, and use head lamps for smaller areas, but i have a new account coming up that is darker than dark. I am thinking that some halogens mounted to a handtruck would be ideal. I can run a cord from my generator, or use customer power if available. I also gave thought to some 12 volt utility lights and run them off a battery for ultimate portability. Not sure which route I want yet, just kicking the tires at the moment.
  19. Who makes the most durable enclosed trailer?

That's what you call a love for the business. Does your friend have a website to peek at? Do you guys have any pics? I am still trying to figure out how to arrange it if I get one. If I can't figure it out, I can't get one and have it sitting around. I think I have looked at almost every set up that has been posted on the various boards, and still have questions.
  20. Portable Light Cart

This particular account has no access for vehicles in the wash area. It is a rather large area and has many corners that lighting from the street will not take care of. I will do the initial clean with my trusty head lamp, but want to be better prepared in the future. If I had a 30 foot pole, it would shine really nice over the surrounding wall of the area.
  21. Portable Light Cart

Sure, I can pull two trailers, why not. No, I was thinking along the lines of a hand truck with 2 or three thousand watts of halogen. It would be nice to get a telescoping pole from one of those trailers like you have and adapt it to my trailer. I would only need one of those lights to do what I need.
  22. I like that one, that's good.
  23. ShopVac with pump out capability

Why have a 24 volt autoscrubber with a 110 volt sump pump? T+Yes it is very backwards to me. Why not just putr the sump in the puddle that you are going to drop the squeege into? I run a Sutorbilt blower like many of the truckmounts you speak of. I run pressure, supply and vacuum hose off the trailer, and all else stays put.
  24. Ant's New Video

Good job, very well done. My wife is a picture freak, so I think we have plenty. I will show her this and see if she wants to make one.
  25. Almost walked away

Since I do not do alot of residential work anymore, I give them a price, and it is what it is. If they ask for a deal, I tell them that we are not running any specials at the momet, and always give extreme detail of what the service entails. I have found that the exact description of service is a real good closer. As an example, if I am to wash the house, I do not just say "House Wash" and the price. I write it up as House Wash with a scope of service to include rinsing all debris that splashes up on other items, such as lawn furniture, playhouses, bbq's and such. No hot water hoses will be run across the lawn, no plants will be killed, and so on. People like to see what is included in the price other than just the service itself.
