Subject: Lost puppy My neighbor has lost her puppy and is desperate to find him. She does a lot of traveling and always brings her dog with her. Yesterday, she was sitting on the couch watching TV when she realized she hadn't seen her pup in a while and couldn't even begin to think when or where she last saw him. She has been putting up signs everywhere. If you have seen this dog, please let me know and I will notify her. Your help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

In the early years, my wife had our son do the Disney characters, but this year at the age of 9, he is doing his own thing, and Army Man it is. Funny to see him all dressed up in my old gear. Put a belt around the jacket and he could have a matching shirt/skirt.

Detergent oil causes foaming which is bad for the pump. General Pump oil is red, Cat pump is green, the oil I use from a local supplier is clear. I would not worry about the color.

There are quite a few variables on these. Dust vs exhaust (truck stops would be worse than the average station) Lift vs extension pole Do lights need to be covered? (some stations have exposed fluirescent tubes vs enclosed sodium vapr/metal halide) aluminum ceiling vs painted plywood Always cover the pumps even if they do not have card readers built in. Plan for plenty of debris/sludge as no matter how clean they may seem, you will be surprised at what comes off. You will need to rinse the entire pad under the canopy so that needs to be included in the price. Water recovery should also be in your plans as you will be an easy target for fines. With all that out of the way, I usually charge the same as the concrete below, if it is just the underside. If they want the outer vertical part done as well, then I add on as needed. Our pricing out here is way different than yours, so just figure it based on your concrete square foot price and adjust as needed to dial it in.

Fired up the machine and the burner was pushing lots of white smoke, (SOS) while the water was only warm despite the thermostat being maxed out. I could see the usual glow inside the coil, so I am sure there was ignition. It did this for 15 minutes or so, and then it seemed to clear up. Machine was level and plenty of diesel, so I know I was not running out. The below thread is the only one that seems to address this issue, but since I am getting ignition, feel their is more to the story. http://www.thegrimescene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4435&highlight=burner

Locks only keep honest people honest, a true thief will get in no matter what, however the more deterrents you have the better. Consider an alarm in addition to the lock, and maybe even a Lojack if you are a little paranoid.

Go get'em Tiger, uh, I mean Don. I will have to find that picture of you pretending to be Tiger Woods, it still has me wondering what the heck happened that day.

Smoke Signals
One Tough Pressure replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
It was the fuel filter. Knew it was overdue to be changed and ordered one over a month ago and forgot to put it on. Guess I need to replace that hour meter that shorted out, so I can keep on track with my maintenance beforehand. Always nice to have the parts on hand when needed. I best order a back up now. Thanks to all for the replies, I am sure it will help others as well. -
Smoke Signals
One Tough Pressure replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
With the stuffed up nose, I did not notice if there was a diesel smell to it. I also did not notice any surges from the flow unloader as if the coil has a leak. I will put a pressure gauge on it, and see if I have a loss to help rule out that no hole is present. Should my nose start working, and I do smell diesel in the smoke, what does that mean? -
oil....and tire marks
One Tough Pressure replied to sflasealcoating's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Welcome to the bbs. Nice to see another So Cal person here. Check out the search feature, and/or go to the residential threads to find plenty to keep you reading for a long time. -
For all of you that have attached pictures to your posts, or uploaded them to the gallery, they may have been lost in the upgrading of the bbs. The fastest way to check this, is to go to USER CP in the upper left hand corner and after clicking that scroll down the list on the left to ATTACHMENTS. This will give you a list of all photos that you have attached to threads, and if they are not on the bbs anymore, you will know which ones were lost as the name is still there. On the top tool bar is a link for the GALLERY. Great place to store pics and show off your handy work as well.

F 18 Best Wood Stripper...
One Tough Pressure replied to Rfitz's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I use it a a concrete cleaner and it works very well. I can only imagine that it would work just as well on wood. -
Commercial accounts need cleaning rain or shine.

It is often heard, that someone thinks they are worth so much per hour. But why? So in relation to pressure cleaning, how does one come up with their hourly rate? What makes you better than the other washers out there, so you can go for top dollar in your bids?
-
That sure is a mighty nice CUSTOM trailer, must be worth every cent. Sure does not look like a 14 footer.

Most light sold here are 110v. I know they make 12v but they are not very popular. -
PWNA Members Invited To Bid
One Tough Pressure replied to Pete Marentay's topic in Industry News & Events
That is really cool. With 675 locations and PWNA members to wash 99, who gets the other 576? Last year I had never heard of them and now they are everywhere. -

Will they pay mileage? I heard you need your lawn watered. -
I, the Penis, hereby request a raise in salary for the following reasons: I do physical labor. I work at great depths. I plunge head first into everything I do. I do not get weekends or public holidays off. I work in a damp environment. I work in a dark workplace that has poor ventilation. I work in high temperatures. My work exposes me to contagious diseases. Sincerly, The Penis -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Penis, After assessing your request, and considering the arguments you have raised, the administration rejects your request for the following reasons: You do not work 8 hours straight. You fall asleep after brief work periods. You do not always follow the orders of the management team. You do not stay in your designated area and are often seen visiting other locations. You do not take initiative - you need to be pressured and stimulated in order to start working. You leave the workplace rather messy at the end of your shift. You don't always observe necessary safety regulations, such as wearing the correct protective clothing. You will retire well before you are 65. You are unable to work double shifts. You sometimes leave your designated work area before you have completed the assigned task. And, if that were not all, you have been seen constantly entering and exiting the workplace carrying two suspicious-looking bags. Sincerely, The Management

AC Needs help in Atlanta
One Tough Pressure replied to Adrian's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Sump pumps, wet vacs and squeeges will all be useful, but how do you plan to deal with the mist that even a cold water unit will create? Interior cleaning is much more critical than exterior, due to drying issues. Turn on the heater to make it dry faster and you get humidity, which will cause many problems. Turn on fans and it may be to cold to dry for exended periods. Even draping the walls and ceiling in plastic is questionable as mist will travel. Why does a basement need pressure cleaning anyway? Especially on a brand new house. -
Ficticious person stirring up trouble again, when will it stop? You have to wonder about someone who can't even get his own name straight.
