Ready to buy my power washer but need advice.
One Tough Pressure replied to ls1cameric's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Trailer with room to grow and all the basics, reels, surfacer, hot machine, tank and a bunch of free add ons. Nothing wrong with that even if it did need some minor work such as belts, fluids, tires and such. -
What is the value of Networking?
One Tough Pressure replied to Mathew Johnson's question in The Club House
Great that they could help you out, and I bet next time you order plenty before the job. 5 gallons does not sound like much for a log cabin, to me that screams lots of wood aka big sponge. -

Learn the zig zag pattern and the hose will follow you almost anywhere. -
I can not bear to read the whole thread, but c'mon Trey don't bager the boss. You have to admit this is one of the best boards there is or you would not be here. We all have opinions but sometimes it is best not to share. Read the above and see where you did it again.

Adjustable flow?
One Tough Pressure replied to CALLTODD's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Opposite the unloader line is the other high pressure port on the pump, they have two and one is usually capped unless you already have a steam valve. -
The Texas tract is very well known, nice houses that actually have some yard space. Highly sought after area. That machine will do fine in that configuration.

If set up right you will have no problems, but not knowing how people will use their product it is more of a cya for them. Keep the unit close to the tank and provide an adequate supply line with minimal bends or small piping. Use of 1" supply hose would do fine. Some people seem to think they can have a tank on the trailer and take the machine portable using 100 feet of 5/8" hose. That is why the factory has the cya.

Selling trailer rig question
One Tough Pressure replied to krisztian1981's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Pressure Pro does an 8 at 3000 skid, and I have done it before as well. It works the engine hard, but it can be done. Might as well include the burner, unless you have another use for it. -
Check the caller id they may be calling from inside the house.

Adjustable flow?
One Tough Pressure replied to CALLTODD's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
If you want to run a flow type unloader you will have to install a high pressure bypass valve aka a steam valve. It would go on the high pressure port opposite from the unloader line and bypass to the tank or back to the inlet line. The use of a smaller nozzle and a pressure gauge will dial in exactly what you are looking for. I have used mine to scale the skid down to carpet cleaning ability. -
Some people are so stupid they would fill it out. No different than when the cops send a letter to all the criminals with warrants and say that they have won a free tv, or some other prize, and when the offender shows up they get arrested. Saves lots of money from going out to get them and it works all the time. So did you win the alarm?

What unloader do you prefer?
One Tough Pressure replied to Chuck Bergman PC's question in Residential Pressure Washing
The ZK1 is an awesome unloader. Much more durable than the k-7. -
Converting Propane Burner to Diesel Burner
One Tough Pressure replied to John T's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
In California that F350 is a commercial vehicle due to the flatbed. All trucks have commercial plates, but are not real commercial. The bed change makes it official. So my F450 is just a truck because it has a bed. Note Vinces door has the weight rating sticker on it. Not sure how the trailer deal works, since 40 foot 5th wheels need no special license and the GVWR is 18,000. We have all the wacky laws, City code here says anything over 23 feet can not be parked on the street. A crew cab long bed is that by itself. -
need a blower, which one?
One Tough Pressure replied to JMSC's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
How do you plan to use it? ie vac surface cleaners, vacu booms and so on. CFM is important but so is Hg aka water lift. -
School shooting are not limited to public schools.

Ron, You say leave the gun business to the pros and let the teachers teach. They would be teaching unless a situation arose and they needed to protect themselves and their students. No different than me saying you stick to washing and let the Police and Security protect you. You have mentioned not wanting to shoot a child more than a couple times here, but the fact is if you could prevent many childrens and or adult lives from being taken by a crazy kid, would you not take that shot. I know I would based on I could not watch people being wounded or killed just for the sake of not shooting the shooter based on age alone. Nothing says you have to kill them, just incapacitate them. All areas are different but here the Police have resource officers that rotate throught the schools to chat with the kids and gain trust, and who will respond first to a school incident. We do not have officers assigned to schools full time. One or two officers on an entire campus will not do much if a kid or anyone else wants to start shooting. They can call for back up if they here shots, as anyone else can call 911 for the same. Having teachers armed I believe would dampen the spirit of would be shooters, as they would not have so much control until the cops could get the situation under control, and may just squash their idea before it hatches.

Funny how people think that carrying a gun makes someone trigger happy.

Some help please???
One Tough Pressure replied to big mike's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
When you say pump you mean fuel pump right? There is no reason a failing pressure pump would cause an engine to die. The fuel pump may be going though, or the fuel filter needs replacing. I had a blockage in my tank that would allow the machine to start and run normal until the blockage would get sucked against the tank outlet, which finally caused the fuel filter to crack from the pump suction. Replaced filter to have it happen again before I realized what caused it to happen. Also had a bad fuel line from the fuel filter to the fuel pump that got kinked when warm and then choked the fuel supply. -
Still searching all the info available, and have not made a choice yet.

Multiple applications of a weak solution is best as you have control. Always do a test spot, and wear proper attire.

1972 Datsun 510 aka 1971 & 1972 2.5 Trans Am champion winner. The first one went in the dumpster after a few choice cuts with a torch, and my second one is still here. My second one use to look like the red car until I painted it to resemble the Screaming Yellow Zonker.

Silver Eagle Rig Issues
One Tough Pressure replied to Red Baron's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
So is it the assembly of the components they use and lack of a final test or are the components lousy to begin with? -
Green stickers are issued for all California OHVs year model 2002 and older, including those that were previously issued a red sticker, and to 2003 and newer complying vehicles. Green stickers are issued to OHVs for year round use at all California OHV riding areas. Red stickers are issued to 2003 year model and newer OHVs that are not certified to California OHV emission standards. If your OHV has a "3" or "C" in the eighth position of the vehicle identification number (VIN) then your vehicle will be issued a red sticker. Red stickers are issued to OHVs that can use California OHV riding areas for seasonal use only.

I want Green sticker bikes, and I am led to believe that 2 strokes are not. I am looking for trail bikes vs race bikes and Don color is everything.

I used 300 feet with my K7 and had no problems. Yes they can be bypassed to the tank. They are finicky and fail to often for me. I now use the ZK1 which is very similar, but more durable.
