I was thinking about how a status symbol of today is those cell phones that everyone has clipped on. I can't afford one. So, I'm wearing my garage door opener. You know, I spent a fortune on deodorant before I realized that people didn't like me anyway. I was thinking that women should put pictures of missing husbands on beer cans! I was thinking about old age and decided that it is 'when you still have something on the ball, but you are just too tired to bounce it'. I thought about making a fitness movie, for folks my age, and call it "Pumping Rust." I know, when people see a cat's litter box, they always say, "Oh, have you got a cat?" Just once I want to say, "No, it's for company!" Employment application blanks always ask 'who is to be notified in case of an emergency.' I think you should write, "A Good Doctor!" Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office? What are we supposed to do -- write to these men? Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen could look for them while they deliver the mail? I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older. Then, it dawned on me, they were cramming for their finals. As for me, I'm just hoping God grades on the curve.

Any comments good, bad or ugly? I am thinking of using this in the recovery area rather than a traditional sump pump that requires a generator. Makes no sense to run the generator if this will do the trick. Can also be used for washdown where high gpm is needed.

Shurflo Aqua Tiger

They run 5 amps according to a spec sheet that I saw awhile back. It would mainly be for intermittent use with a float switch and should run fine from my washer battery for the reclaim purposes. They run for around $160.00 and less depending where you shop online. -

Generators
One Tough Pressure replied to John Doherty's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I have an Onan Pro 6000 and have to say I made a really good choice. It has pressure lubrication, a large fuel tank that can run 10 hours under full load. -
Have you read these Muriatic threads yet? http://www.thegrimescene.com/forums/search.php?searchid=21544

Oh Beth, you revealed my secret that OTP actually means "One Troubled Person". You promised not to tell anyone. I guess I am all washed up.

Disaster or not, post them anyway, then we can learn the good and bad. -
Carlos, Todays not gonna happen, you are only about an hour South though. Maybe next time. Have fun on that cruise.

Mike, Don't tell him that or he will get himself killed trying to prove you wrong.

How did they do this??
One Tough Pressure replied to One Tough Pressure's question in The Club House
Who knows why they made it. I found it looking for "DUB DUB". What is a Dub Dub? I saw the name on a SUV that looked like a Suburban with added molding and spinner wheels. Then I saw it on a sign in Off Road Fury, so curiosity found the above. I thought maybe it was something like Saleen or Rousch. -

RV and camping stores usually stock a decent selection if you need it now. -

Vacu-Boom Question
One Tough Pressure replied to John Doherty's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
You can add a sump pump to almost any wet vac. I say almost because you need the room inside to mount it, as well as having enough room for the pump to turn on before it shuts off the internal float. Eagle Power makes the one that Vacu Boom modifies with a sump pump and banjo fittings and then calls their own. Having a generator will come in handy, rather than having to run extension cords. -
Say Rick, why not water balloon with used oil as well.

Vacu-Boom Question
One Tough Pressure replied to John Doherty's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Here are two pictures for reference only. No that is not my water and the tube was not set up to operate, just placed there for looks. You will need to clear the gutter of any large debris that may prevent the boom from getting good suction. You then place in gutter with the port side in and angle the tail end to divert the water to the port which if close enough to the curb, will not allow water to pass. Put the vacuum hose on the downhill side. What kind of vacuum did you plan to use? -
What would you charge?

The only difference between the 12" and 16" is the size. I turn the dome by hand until it tightens up and i also drag one side of the floater on the ground to keep the water blowing out and not going under doors. I use a 3000 psi & 4pm machine and that thing will float 4 feet off the ground with just one hand pulling the trigger. -
Vacu-Boom Question
One Tough Pressure replied to John Doherty's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I have used mine in the gutter many times and if you place them right it will work fine. I will need to take a picture to show how it is done, as words will only confuse the subject. -
Who's Bad? Nobody knows what Rick is looking up, they think he is someone else.

Tighten the unit so that it does not spin. I had that problem with my 12" Little Floater. How did you adjust the psi down? You should have replaced the tips and not be using the unloader, as this will also decrease gpm. The adjustment of the unloader will only make you work slower. Do you remember what the angle was when you got it? That is where it should be as 90° is too much. How about a picture.
