  1. Water cannon for washing buildings

How is that any different than a larger orifice 0° tip?
  2. Missing Husband

Just when you think Jon is gone, he pops back in. How are you? When are you going to visit one day?
  3. This is cute!

I wish my Goldens were so talented.
  4. Hydro-Tek skid on a hill ?

The only issues I can think of would be is the oil sensor for the engine being tricked to think that there is no oil, and running out of gas or water due to the pickup being on the upside of the hill. I have parked sideways to alleviate this in the past.
  5. Fuel surcharge

Adding the increase to the bill would be nice, but that also makes them wonder if they can get it for cheaper and many will fly the coop. Finding ways to be more efficient and still keeping the same level of service works for me. Diesel alone increased 32% since 6-07, and I drive with diesel as well as fuel the burner. Leaving earlier, adding an extra stop, and working faster have allowed me to keep the same pricing and still profit the same as before. May not always work like that, but it has until now.
  6. restaurant grout cleaning

Proper chemicals will alleviate the need for heat.
  7. This is not the first story like this that I have posted. There were two guys local to me that did the same thing, another guy in the midwest that ran a pw in the basement and now this lady. It really is a tragedy that people are not aware that things like this will kill them. 26 years old and a mother of two. What a horrible thing to happen and especially at Christmas. 8. Here comes the technology

Whoa Nelly, And a cow kicked Nelly in the belly in the barn. Play nice boys or get out of the sandbox. All bad posts need to be edited by the original poster or they will be edited by me. It would be in your best interest to do it yourself.
  9. Low Cost Recovery

Do you already have a generator to run a vacuum and/or sump pump? If yes, then you can do it for that price, if no, then you need to spend a bit more. Give me a call if you want, and I can give you some ideas based on what you have to tell me on the area being washed.
  10. Managing our industry

I agree with John Doherty. So who would be in charge of deciding who gets to check out the credentials of a "Professional"? Who will check on the credentials of the "Advisory Board"? And who will be in charge of trying to get all the newbies to go to the advisory board vs all the other boards out there?
  11. need some ideas for an enclosed trailer ramp

    What about aluminum atv ramps.
  12. Unless you run really small tips, I find the inline filters are useless as they clog to fast.
  13. Carbon Monoxide kills mother of two cleaning carpet.

I have seen a lot of coverage in different areas, all based on the same thing, the running of gas engines indoors. It may not be as widespread as other killers out there, but it has been happening way to often. These are true tragedies that can be prevented, I am not sure how to spread the word, but it needs to happen and quickly. Sad enough when the person is not knowledgable enough to protect themselves, but the kids is the worst.
  14. Carbon Monoxide kills mother of two cleaning carpet.

I just can not believe how many people are losing their lives to something that seems like it should be common sense. 4 teenagers running a generator in the basement. Four men who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in Poconos were cleaning a house -- themorningcall.com
  15. Vacuum Maintenance

How many people here use the Eagle Power vacuum that vacu boom supplies with their systems? Did you know that it has exhaust filters on the motor(s)? And they need to be cleaned to keep from burning up the motor(s). Did you know that if you have the one motor version, you can affordably add another motor and double your cfm? Water Lift/Hg will remain the same though. How many killed their vacuums and thought it was not worth repairing?
  16. Vacuum Maintenance

Scott, Carpet cleaners use defoamer in their systems and it can be found in most janitorial shops. WD-40 also does a fantastic job. Either way, you start with a little before hand to control the build up, and introduce more as needed. You can put it right in the vacuum or let it flow through the vacuum hose while working.
  17. Vacuum Maintenance

The dual motors is for the Eagle power not the Fury system. When I say motor, I mean electric motor. Fury's also require maintenance, lube that blower after each use is very important.
  18. Vacuum Maintenance

My original had a Gould pump and they are not cheap. You can put any pump in there as long as it will accept the output plumbing, or you are willing to drill a new hole.
  19. citra-kleen?

Gee Celeste, I guess my link was not good enough. Is it not working on your end?

  21. The Cleaner Network

For Steve it was a business tool to promote and sell his chems. That is what the board was designed for and did well for awhile. Without Steve's participation to promote his product, I am not sure it would be worth bringing back. If the new guy selling Steves chems had the same knowledge and use of them, and used the board the same way, then it may be worth keeping around.
  22. Too much pump oil?

If you were having issues with both the surfacer and wand, did you do any pressure checks? If two different surfacers had the same results, then I would focus on the machine vs rebuilding unions. Have you considered the unloader?
  23. Nikro Dual Head

Please do as I have looked at many places and never seen them that cheap with the same specs.
  24. Nikro Dual Head

With the same lift and cfm? That would be as close to robbery as anything. Where from?
  25. Nikro Dual Head

When the motors sound very rough, like metal on metal, you smell something burning in the motor or you see sparks. Those are the obvious signs. Should you be proactive, you could check them on occasion.
