We already knew the real you. Remember that picture of you playing dress up.

Is your filter clean? Do you have leaks in your supply line? Have you tried to pressure feed the machine?
-
Yeah yeah, that's what they all say. So who's gonna beat my Pac Man score?
-
At last some worthy competition. Who's gonna beat your score first? Me or you trying to stay on top?

Got a letter today, Certified Mail from my Insurance Carrier. Scared me to death because of the Certified part. A brief note saying that they are cancelling my policy at expiration, due to them not covering this type of Business anymore. Now why in the world, would they do that? I need to shop around now and see if I can get covered under Janitorial Cleaning for a better rate. Anyone else covered this way, for Pressure Cleaning alone?
-
Hey, whats my sign doing out your way?? Jon, If that guy would have charge right, he would have been able to replace that machine rather than quit, but you knew that already.

Don't give anyone any stupid ideas.

Derek, Great info. By now, I am sure you are not suprised at how many people don't know. If you don't mind, what products are you using for cleaning and sealing? I have tried many and am still searching for the miracle chemical. -
Chems cost?
One Tough Pressure replied to CompletelyClean's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Mentioning of other products here is fine, as long as it is not an advertisment. I do not do wood, but from what I have read about the products sold by Beth, they are very good items and the cost is alot less than many other items out there. HD-80, EFC38, and Citralic Acid are the items to look for in the store. -

I was recently talking to someone that asked if I could clean out the area drains that are scattered throughout his yard. While this is not something that I specialize in, I have cleared a few when needed. Question is does anyone offer this as part of their current service? I am only referring to exterior area drains, not standard sewer jetting. I would need to get a few hundred feet of sewer hose and other accessories, but want to know what I may expect to find. I know that tree roots are a common problem with these drains, but what else?
-
Jon, I call them Area Drains, but for you, I willl call them Lawn Drains, even though not all are on the lawn. Grease traps could be another item, as the equipment is the same. Hard packed dirt for many feet may be a problem, which is why I am asking for more details here, but what about when people tunnel under the driveway with the garden hose for sprinkler pipes? Seems like 1500 PSI with the sewer nozzle would blow that dirt out quick. Douglas, Licensing would be the same as my current status from the City. I would not need a State Contractors Plumbing License unless I went full blown plumber and/or charged more than $500. per job. I would love for this to take off, but it would be more like a handy man service thing. I will check out that site you mentioned.

The correct spelling is Sodium Percarbonate. Beth sells a good one. http://www.thegrimescene.com/Store/product_info.php?cPath=1_7&products_id=156

According to the deublin catalog, the 927 series was made specifically for the surface cleaner. They rate it for 4000psi and 4gpm. It is the only one they have for this purpose and that 4gpm rating doesn't compute with the specs of the surface cleaner companies. Who has a deublin swivel and what model number is on there?

Deublin Rotary Unions
One Tough Pressure replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Thank you Ron. That is one of the two in the 927 series and here are the specs from their print catalog, since the online version shows no results found. Not very user friendly. 4000 psi max 200° max 2000 rpm max 4 gpm max I wonder how much life it loses by doing 5 gpm rather than 4 gpm. How long do yours last before replacement is necessary? -
Less chems running thru X amount of hose, since it is just at the gun. Also faster to clear soap out of line. Scott, If you are trying to say I could of made a shorter statement by explaining carbs, then it may end up being longer as EFI has been the dominant for years now.

Unloader valve/PLEASE HELP
One Tough Pressure replied to Brad's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere. Are you running from a hose or from a tank? That pump should have an 11Hp engine to run it, but since you said it happened before, we will not focus on that. Have you been adjusting the unloader to lower pressure? This is not good and constant adjustment of it may be wreaking havoc on your machine. What size tips are you running? For the 4/3000 it should be a 4.0 tip and while some may be able to use smaller tips like the ones that were used with your old pump, this will not go to well if the unloader is out of whack. Use a pressure gauge and the tips called for by this pump, and try to get it dialed in and go from there. Check your inlet filter for debris, and also run the machine with no tips for awhile just to make sure their is no debris in the system. -
Downstream is an injector that is places after the pump in any of several positions on your machine. You can place it just before the burner if you desire hot chemicals, at the hose reel so that chemicals are not going thru the burner, or at the gun so that chemicals only go thru the gun and lance. You have to choose what works best for you on that part. While your machine is normally run in high pressure mode, in order for the injector to work, you must switch to low pressure, which can be done by changing the tip in the wand, using a dual lance, or by using a roll over nozzle. The dual lance seems to be more popular as you wash at high pressure, then turn the handle and get low pressure which draws soap. You then close the handle valve, and get high pressure and no soap for a rinse.
