HD-80 reviews... read for yourself! :)
One Tough Pressure replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Chemicals & Safety
Powder or liquid, safety should always be the number one priorty when mixing and using chemicals. Having an MSDS is one thing, but actually reading and understanding itis even more important. If for some reason you did get something in your eyes, reading the msds after the fact is a little bit to late. Tony, Glad to see that you have eye wash stations in both your trailers, I plan to add one very soon. Continued in next thread due to length. -

I have not ordered products from Steve or Beth, but am sure that they are both top notch. Most companies will overnight their product, if you ask. I know you sell Russels products and thats great however their are other products out their that cost and perform just as well as theirs. I think you will agree with that I think that we all agree that their are similar products with similar prices out there. I would like to know exactly what are you getting at???? -
Thank you Paul for sharing that info, I will have to do some checking into of the products that you mentioned.

24 hours... I am still in a bind, as I hoped maybe I can use it on commercial stuff to speed up the wash time, but I can not block stuff for that long.

I have not seen a bid calculator, would be interested to see how it works. -
What is the application criteria for V-Seal? I have looked at sealing in the past, and it needed for the concrete to be dry for 72 hours prior to applying and another 72 to 84 hours before it is ready for use. I can not block things off for that long.

Steel Eagle Little Floater
One Tough Pressure posted a topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Today I had a chance to use a Little Floater by Steel Eagle. I used the 12" version with a 4/3000 cold machine, and I must say that it was a Blast, literally. I have not used a hover type surface cleaner before and was truly amazed at how it floated like a Hovercraft. Took a little getting used to, but after that it proved to be a truly versatile piece of equipment. Maybe all hovers are like this, but I never knew. I am not sure about the swivel, as it looks very different than the regular brass and the Deublin that Steel Eagle normally offers, but they are affordable and built pretty solid. -
Custom Avatar Frames... want one?
One Tough Pressure replied to Beth n Rod's question in The Club House
Is it sized for just one avatar, or can it be used with more than one, if we want to switch? -

Do you already have your equipment? I may be able to point you in the direction of some items that you may need. -

Not sure what is wrong with my link, but it does work for me. I tested it after posting and it still worked fine. I put it here again in case you need it later. http://www.pressure-washer-parts.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?Search=Yes -
Tony, As far as the recoloring, you may want to look into a carpet store, as they dye carpet and the process would probably be very similar.

Not sure what happen to the link, worked when I tried it. Try this one http://www.pressure-washer-parts.com/ and search for accumulator. -
Awaiting the EFC results.

Ron, I see one problem with a voter poll on chemicals. What is to say that people are using them the intended way. Some people mix with the Glug Glug techniques, and others upstream and have no dwell time. One person may be able to get better results with a cheap chem from the autoparts store, due to correct usage, while someone else has poor results due to their lack of reading and patience. Just a thought.

Here is a site that has them, and for alot cheaper than $800.00. I also have a skid like A Plus with one of these Accumulator's and a flow unloader. I usually run 150+ hose and I have still gotten spikes. It makes the hose feel like a big overstretched rubber band and has almost pulled me down a few times. http://www.pressure-washer-parts.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?Search=Yes -
single out the most important thing that you learned from the BBS [any bbs on pressure washing] What would it be? Chems do the work, but which chems is the question. I have tried many so called degreasers and they are not that great. Some work better than others, but I am still looking for that magic wand somewhere. Second question. If you were to start out from scratch, with what you know now, what would you do diffrently? Not a whole lot. Would you do it again?[go into pressure washing that is]. Yes, I like playing in the water. Lastly, what do you see yourself doing 5 year's from now? [be honest] Well, to be honest. I have to get there first, but I plan to be washing and making more money than I do now.

What does 9-11 have to do with insurance for Pressure Cleaning? I do not see the relation. -

Rather than the weight and price of the ball valve to eliminate going back to the machine, why not just put a qc on the gun and you can switch between the wand and SC. Not to mention your gun is then setup for close up use on a moments notice. As far as making the plug go into the coupler, so that the water is flowing like an arrow, according to Espec. My downstreamer is setup to flow the other way, the arrow on the side says so. It is a General DS, so who do we listen to General or ESpec? What is the advantage to doing it the Espec way? When running hoses hardlined together, I prefer STEEL over the brass, due to the pressure and abuse from dragging. -
Here is my new toy, I am getting a hose made, so that it will have a QC on the end for changing tips. It could be a gentle fan spray, or a long distance sprayer. Not an actual photo, but is just the same. What do ya think???

thinking about a X-JET

Chemical Sprayer
One Tough Pressure replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I would not reccomend my idea for housewashing, as it would take you all day to use and refill it. I have heard good things about the xjet, but that is to much for what I am using my idea for. -

If mine fails, I will follow your lead. Around here, all I ever see for soda anymore is the plastic bag in a box. -

Ron, Thank you for the link. Mine will do basically the same, buy I already have it, and it was free. I can not afford what they are charging for those ones. Rich, In my case, bigger is not always better. I need something portable and durable, yet do not want to use a handtruck for it.
