The micro-switch turns on the burner, there may be a hi-limit switch that also turns the burner on. If one switch fails, no heat. The micro-switch is operated when pressure from the pump pushes a small rod against the micro-switch. RREmove the cover adn operated the pw gun. If the rod moves, the switch may be the problem. You can remove the switch and use a multi-meter to test it or just replace the switch. The cost is minimal. If the new micro-switch does not fix the problem, I also change the hi-limit switch. That assumes you have a hi-limit switch. If the bore for the rod is too worn, you need to replace the whole switch assembly.

I used a small hose clamp to hold a QC to my gun. My 0 nozzle clips in and out.

I use a Delco horizontal burner, TS 2021, with an adjustable lance. Last night I was on a metal roof, snow and all. I had the fan tipped and my wand was adjusted to soap. My hi=pressure nozzles poped off. It was and still is in the fan. I went to the van & got another nozzle. On soap mode, everything was fine, adjusted the want to hi-pressure, and I got surges. i removed the hi-pressure nozzle and flushed the line. I got another nozzle, same thing, flushed and got surges. Any thoughts?

Big Mike, it was about 27 F when I started and 23F when I finished Monday night. I did drain everthing when I finished with my daytime job earlier on Tuesday. Before I could do my Tuesday day job, I spent an hour thawing out stuff. I have a replacement valve, I will change the valve on Saturday, along with checking the water lines. I could have frozen the ceramic plungers the night before. Of course, since May, an item on my to-do-list was to get a new thermocouple for my propane heater. Tommorrow, I will stop at a customers business to get a new thermocouple. I will install it before leaving his place of business. If it does not work, he has new heaters in stock.

My Dad did his service in the Big One, WWII on a Navy boat. He never talked about his service, even though he had a scar on the side of his head, from schrapnel. He is buried in the Military Cemetary in Portland. After the ceremony, I was given the flag that covered his coffin. That flag is one of my most treasured possesions. I just got the August Cleaner times. There is a short article on Robert Hinderliter and what he has done for this industry. There is also an article about Steve Stephens, a pressure washer who was in a car accident. He has made strides in recovering from his accident. What is especially outstanding about his story is the help that Stephens was given by Envirospec. Envorspec gave him a new pw and other equipment. Congratulations to both Robert Hinderliter and John Allison for the recognition for their efforts.

Don't forget everone who has anything to do w/the prevailing wage job gets prevailing wage. The guy who loads the van, obviously those who do the job, the bookkeeper who keeps track of the hours and prints the check and the guy who unloads the van. The only person who is not required to be paid prevailing wages is you, the owner. Make sure you keep the required paper work. I will not even bid on prevailing wage jobs because of the paper work and other requirements.

I am tired of that goobermint fuel can for diesel fuel. I am thinking of adding an auxillary fuel tank for diesel. Northern has an 18 gallon tank for $200.00. The fuel tank is 10 3/8 inches high, with a fuel tube at the top of the tank. I will mount the tank about 36 inches away from the burner. Will the fuel pump pull fuel that distance? or should I have another fuel fitting welded near the bottom of the fuel tank?

No, you guys keep selling me parts, so I don't have to replace it. A new engine last year, a 3 or 4 new TS2021 pumps, a new fuel pump once. You need to change to a cheaper machine that is not built so well. When I get home, I will look to see just how many years I have used it. The hour meter broke a couple of years ago, so I cannot even guess at the service time.

Petroleum oil is not the same as kitchen grease. Sodium Hydroxide works on kitchen grease. I have had it splash on my vans, it discolors paint. No way would I try SH as an engine degreaser unless it was my equipment, and did not care if the paint came off or the chrome was discolored or the glass was etched. Free advice for what it is worth from someone who never tried SH on anything except grease. Have you tried SH on petroleum or finished surfaces Marko?

Rick, next time you break a toggle switch, get a latching push buttom switch. They do not stick out so far and will not get broken off. When you find one, let me know. I need one for my Sprinter. NAPA no longer has them for sale.
