We cleaned out the gutters too and there was a window left open. Those folks were in Mississippi at the time. Yes, I love my 0040.

I'll try to find more pics that show more distance. But here is one using a 0040 tip.

alternative to bleach on houses
FCPWLLC replied to derekcaldwell's question in Residential Pressure Washing
X-jetting is also a higher pressure than is needed. The less pressure, the better. Safer cleaning method. Too much misting with x-jet also. -
You said your goal this year was to get out from behind the wand.... You did it! It is my goal too.... Why do you think I bought the Motorcycle? LOL Get better soon dude. I'll call this weekend.

Wanna cut your time in half without sacrificing quality?
FCPWLLC replied to Jarrod's question in The Club House
I have been doing well with my closing ratio this year.... So far 80% ( I even raised prices) the 20% I have lost have ALL been wood bids. No wood yet this year. My price to do wood is high to make it worth my time and I can't compete with the "water only" blasters. Correction.... I did a quick Deck wash for the housing Authority for my contact over there that I have yet to see a check for. -

Always Be Closing .... Attention, Interest, Decision, Action .... Get them to sign on the line which is dotted! Boiler Room -
Got 7 jobs lined up for next week and getting a couple calls each day. Got 3 calls back to back Friday from people seeing the Truck and Trailer going down the road. Yesterday, did a Vinyl House Wash (did 2 estimates for neighbors while there) and a Roof Clean. Might get a shot at the flat work for the Motorcycle dealer I bought my Bike from. Did Nothing but ride today and get a good amount of Sun. Spraying water tomorrow though. Hope everyone meets their goals this year.

Scott, I went and picked one up today.... I love it. Got a sweet deal on a Brand New 2006 off the show room. Now, we really do need to get a ride planned.

why the heck do you send 2 people to do a 1 man job?!
FCPWLLC replied to Jarrod's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Helps lend credibility to you company image also. Company versus A "Guy" with a pressure washer. I too like having a helper to speed thing up and to catch something I might miss or keep the hoses from pulling up all the landscape lighting. On roofs, it is a safety thing. -
Scott Millen can probably be helpful on this question. I looked into getting a Class B CDL at one time. It was only going to cost a few Hundred $$ to take the test etc.
-
You could probably shoot that high with a 0040 tip. Flow is what will get you there. IMO Downstreaming on Vinyl is safer because it is a lower pressure wash. On other sturdier surfaces, like brick, Hardiboard etc. x-jet may be fine. X-jets are useful for when you have bought a weak, watered down chem and need to get it on stronger.

interpreting nozzle chart
FCPWLLC replied to derekcaldwell's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Here is a calculator for nozzle size. I will calculate any of the three if you leave one blank. BARENS INC. Pressure Washer Parts and Accessories - Nozzle Calculator And here is a very good Nozzle chart... http://pressurewashingusa.com/nozzlecharts.pdf -
I talked with Paul and he said that he will be sending everybody thier drum kits.

Don, Thanks for the event and inviting me to speak. I had a blast. It was so cool meeting Mr. Millen. Nothing like his posts. He even put a fire under my ass with that Infiniti. I went out and bought a new truck yesterday. LOL The after hours meetings were awsome. Still recovering from the 4:30 am bed time. Jarrod, Scott and I were on a roll that night. Actually considering bringing wood restore back this year after talking to Jarrod.

Web presence is a must to reach customers that other forms are not reaching. If you are the only guy in your area with a site, you amy be the only one to get a call. If a consumer only uses web searches to buy services, you are in a no bib position if you are the only contractor they find. I LOVE internet based leads..... Higher close rates and higher margins. Most economical form of advertising that I do.

The Economy; how do you feel about it?
FCPWLLC replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Business Topics & Tips
Way I see things is that with planning and discipline, a guy can prosper in any kind of economy. Save while things are good so that you can take advantage of opportunities when things are slow. I personally like it when it is a buyers market for property. Bad for the folks that over-extended themselves but great for the guy that has a bank-roll ready to buy at a lower price. Just like Hurricanes... Bad for the folks that didn't have insurance or rainy-day fund, but great for Storm Chasers or home remodlers. For every bad there is a good. Just depends on how a person has planned. I see some sweet Real Estate deals comming soon and have been putting away for it. pessimists will cry, while optimists will buy. -
Specialized Assocoiates. Strictly Business oriented courses make up all the hours. Learned more actually running a business. Trial and error is a great teacher. Expensive teacher also. Still Learning.......

Always make sure your spray tips are snug in the quick connect. If not, it will shoot out like a bullet and take out a window or crack the vinyl. My helpful TIP of the day.
