plainpainter 217 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 ABR products has a stain that contains borons which I think are attracted to moisture - and they even advertize that it's preferable to have wood at around 20% before staining - just some food for thought. 0 James 625 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 It's great for areas that have high moisture content and can't dry out. By using that product it allows the wood to dry out and protect it. The wood must be 20%. Areas around lakes , wood close to the ground, ect ect ect . U get the idea.... U can use it on dry wood. Boron is a pesticide.
0 plainpainter 217 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 Do you like it as much as readyseal, Jim? What kind of durability does it have?
0 James 625 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 Dan , I use it for it's purpose to defeat the moisture problem. Then I switch to what I want to use to maintain the wood.
