Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 -------------------------------- I would like to have a contractor come in to give me an estimate for removing the wrong color stain on my 2 decks. I would like a contractor who can apply a stripper, apply wash reduce pressure, neturalizer and a rinse in my area. I live in Methuen, MA, 01844. Can you help to recommend a contractor in my area who can do this job? Thank, you -------------------------------- User Name: sharonzammuto Email: sharonzammuto@comcast.net

Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 I have no idea. Contact her via email. What you see, is all I have on it. If it is the same person who called me on the phone, both decks are red, her father did it without permission and she has a party coming up. Beth

plainpainter 217 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 I just emailed her, we'll see what happens - sounds like a solid?
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 My impression on the phone call, yes, it's a solid stain. Bright red. On 2 decks. She doesn't have the can, but it came from a box store. Beth
plainpainter 217 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 And guess which box store is smack in the middle of Methuen? The Home Depot - anyone care to guess which product probably it is? LOL!
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 She's a very nice lady, I feel badly for her. Her dad was trying to surprise her. Beth
plainpainter 217 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 Well if it's a solid behr acrylic/alkyd stain like that is sold at home depot - It's gonna cost her a pretty money to strip! And a boat load of help to figure out how to do it without having to resort to paint strippers.
