2 Pressure Washers, 1 Hot Box

Question

What are the downfalls associated with running two independent 5 GPM pressure washers off of one 10GPM Hot Box?

Other than the obvious reason of the hot box breaking leaving me in the "cold", I can't think of any reasons.

You will need to "link" the pressure washers into the single hotbox in order to heat the water. By doing this you will in essence create a single pump washer which will need to be re-split after the burner. This will eliminate the individual nature of the two units. So when you let off the trigger on one gun you will be forcing the unloaders to unload partially on each.

There may be some issues related to spiking in the line with pressure and flow but you can help to regulate this issue by installing the correct sized chemical injector like the super suds sucker. Sizing to the flow that would be achieved by an individual unit will eliminate this problem (when ds soaping). If you are operating at pressure only and size your nozzles accordingly the injector may not be necessary.
